I am a medical Aesthetician and just saw Jodi for dysport and a collagen boosting laser treatment called Icon Cynosure. I was so impressed with my experience all the way around! She makes you feel so at ease and comfortable as if she has known you forever. The building is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. I am sooo happy with my experience and am looking forward to finally being able to refer my clients to someone whom I have no doubt they will love!

I have had Jodi do Perlayne filler several years ago and was really pleased with the results. Recently she used Voluma and I was amazed with how it made my marionette lines soften up. I am 54 and don’t want to look like I have had a bunch of work done to my face. I want to look natural. Jodi completely understands this. She is like an artist, the way she assesses your skin and determines the best product and how to get you the results you are after. She has also done Harmony laser twice to my face and neck. I will continue with several more treatments as recommended. My skin seems to love the laser treatments. Jodi is professional, friendly, and really an expert at what she does!

I wanted to see exactly how injections worked from start to finish so I came in with a friend to watch her get Dysport injections. The nurse who helped her out was Hannah and I was really impressed with her from the start. she was personable and didn’t make me feel like I was annoying with all my millions of questions. She explained things in detail and and had a good sense of humor and made us feel like we were all friends just hanging out:)
As for the service itself… outstanding! My friend barely felt her injections and had no obvious swelling or irritation at all. I was definitely impressed!

Im so thankful to have come across MEDSPA and their employees. I recently got my eyebrows permanently tattooed by Julie and I could not be more happy with the outcome. I have an autoimmune disease which causes my hair to thin out and fall out, and was currently losing my eyebrow hair. Being a woman, losing hair is not an easy thing to deal with, and has been a whirlwind of emotions for me. Coming across MEDSPA and Julie has really been a blessing for me! They have helped me regain confidence and to feel better about myself when I look in the mirror. Julie is a perfectionist and I would recommend her to anyone in need of permanent makeup! It really is comforting to know someone cares just as much as I do about what is being done to my own face. The full experience was exceptional. From the moment I walked into the office and was greeted by the very sweet, energetic Alexis to the moment I met Julie was a trusting, comforting experience. It was so awesome to notice that Alexis cared just as much as I did about the outcome of my eyebrows. She was there to give an extra set of eyes and offer her thoughts to make sure the brows were just perfect. She was so caring and uplifting. Not to mention she ran to the store and offered me a water! Thank you so much! I love MEDSPA! Julie I cannot thank you enough for your handwork and patience!

I have been going to Jodi Sawyer for at least 8 years and I refer to her as my BFF in the spa world. She has always provided excellent care and superb opinions on what would best serve my needs. Jodi’s professionalism and our interaction with each other always puts a smile on my face. I did briefly «stray» from her with a Dr. that was doing filler injections, but not his main practice, and wound up with the «you get what you pay for».
I have since been back to Jodi to correct the mistakes that his injections did on my face and we will not be straying again! Jodi is the best I’ve come across and I highly recommend her.
Office staff (Alexis) is great and has always called me for reminders and follow-​ups.

I’m a huge fan of Jodi & her team! Everyone is extremely friendly, welcoming & fun! I’ve been in other offices where it’s stuffy & snobby — not at Medspa!
I consider myself fairly low maintenance in the pamper department. I try and make wise decisions on what is «needed» & what is an «indulgence». Having said that, as I age I find myself open to more. I think I’ve tried everything Jodi has suggested and she was always spot on! She doesn’t sugar coat anything — she gives very detailed descriptions of what to expect with each procedure. She talks with you as a girlfriend would and the time spent is fun! I’ve had Vella — it’s hot but works! I’ve had Dysport & Restalyn and I hate needles! Jodi is fast & uses the product with lydacane (I’m sure I’m spelling these wrong) which helps me! I’ve done the laser treatment to my face to remove dark spots brought on by pregnancy. It’s fabulous! Feels like getting snapped by rubber bands and then the next few days it looks like you have a dirty face. After that, your face is pristine!
I’ve been a patient of Jodi’s for years and I recommend her to everyone I know! She is the queen of the field and is highly regarded in the industry. She’s the absolute best!!!

Do not go to this place. They are completely incompetent. I made an appointment for their La Jolla office. I got a call a couple of days later saying no one would be at the La Jolla office that day so I needed to re-​schedule. They said they needed to re-​schedule me for their Encinitas office, which was much farther out of my way, but I scheduled it there anyway so I could get the treatment done. The morning when my first appointment (in La Jolla) was supposed to have occurred, they called me saying they didn’t receive the product I was to get so they needed to re-​schedule. I reminded them they had already called me to re-​schedule (because they supposedly didn’t have R.N.‘s in the La Jolla office that day) and that I had a new appointment set for their Encinitas office. (Have to wonder what the real reason was for them to be rescheduling) The receptionist said «oh, they must have forgot to cancel your original appointment in the computer.» She confirmed my new appointment in the Encinitas office. I showed up (7÷1÷13) for my appointment in Encinitas (which took me 30 minutes to get there) and when checking in was told that the R.N. was in the La Jolla office and unavailable! They asked if I could drive down to the La Jolla office right then. It was unbelieveable. They offered no apology. I have requested my money back because if they can’t even schedule an appointment how can they competently provide a treatment. Don’t go here. Not worth the aggravation.

Julie is the best with the Vela 2!!! I’ve had Vela treatments several times over the last 6 years and I have had the best results yet from Julie at Medspa. Not only is the whole staff very friendly, Julie’s attention to detail is what is making the difference and changing my body. I noticed results after my second treatment! This will be my new spot! It’s not just Vela they do here, it’s a one stop shop for all your non invasive treatments. I get my first dermaplane facial next week!!!

I recently had a dysport treatment by Shawn. She is a real talent! I explained how easily I bruise etc, and she took so much time listening and icing to prevent that from happening. She knows exactly where and how to inject leaving me with an amazing natural look.
I will be back!!!

Got a Groupon for Velashape. thought I would give it a try… After my 4^th treatment, I already have lost a total of 2 inches on my thighs! Have 2 more treatments to go. Results are different for everyone… but I am amazed, it really works… Julie the lady who does the Velashape is great! She is very caring and personable and you can tell she loves what she does. Can’t wait to do my stomach next.

I had fantastic massages by Liz. Every time I go I come away with more flexibility. My muscles are extremely tight from past injuries and I had gotten use to all my tightness over the years. Liz is helping me get back to normal with her deep tissue followed by a relaxing massage. I highly recommend her massage.

So I’m a low maintenance kinda lady… I get my hair cut once a year (maybe), I don’t get facials, or my nails done, or pedicures (I could probably use one!). I purchase most of clothing at thrift stores, Target, Forever 21 (even though I’m far from it anymore!) and Old navy. I hate the mall… I’ll go for some nice shoes… but that’s it. Anyway, I saw this women I know with brown spots all over her face and she looked horrible, so naturally I asked what happened to her face… she said she had a Harmony treatment. What the hell is that? I thought…“You mean you did that on purpose?!!” The lady said it gets out all the brown spots and evens out your skin. «Really?Hmmmmm…» She came back to my store a week later and her face looked so awesome! I couldn’t believe it! I asked her who did it… Med Spa Blah blah… I have this birthmark thing on my forehead from taking birth control, and I have tried every cream to get rid of it! I’ll skip all that, basically I hated this thing and was willing to give this a try. I made the call over to Jodi Sawyer, she zapped my face and yes, it smelled like burnt dog hair, and she told me to sit still with funky dark glasses, and cold goopy gel on my face. I left her office with reddish spots on my face and neck and chest where she lasered (like a rash!). Don’t bother wearing make-​up before your visit, it will come off… even around your eyes! Just do yourself and the world a favor and go home!
The next day I look bad, the day after that… I look horrid. Like there is a case of rosacea with speckled mud on my face. I will tell you that no amount of makeup covered it up very well. Seriously, I looked terrible. The third day… terrible, with scaly, crinkled skin… The fourth day, better, but still old and dirty…5^th day, I’m getting anxious! She told me no matter what, not to scrape the scabs off (did I mention they are scabs?) The sunspot mole thing on my face turned from reddish to black… and then by the 7^th day, it fell off! No more weird mold on my face. My skin looked smooth and clear. The thing on my forehead bleached out a bit… not all the way gone, but pretty good. Unbelievable. People at work told me how much younger I looked! Holy smokes… this stuff works! I didn’t go back for months… and did it again, and this time it wasn’t as bad. She told me to get rid of the melasma on my forehead I need to hit it every few months. No time, I go back when I can. Also, side note apparently, the degree of ugliness it brings up varies… my girlfriend had it done after me (she loved my result and had seen my metamorphosis) and was pissed that she didn’t look as «ugly or dirty» as me! Whatever, she looked like she had dirt on her face. 5 – 7 days later, she looked awesome. It works. It’s well worth the price, and the way I see it, it’s preventative care. I don’t want to get a face-​lift and have shrink wrap face. This is a great alternative, and it works. It’s not a miracle cream, you have to do it 2 – 3 times a year and you will look amazing. Seriously. Jodi is talented and funny as hell, I love her to death. Book early, appointments fill up quick! She also runs specials so get on her mailing list, and Facebook for discounts. I highly recommend.

Jodi and her crew are still astounding and warm. i love that Jodi realy knows faces and skin and will never make you look fake, phony or too surprised. I’m a big baby with needles and she makes me feel so at ease with her voice and she’s pretty quick.
As a woman of color, laser treatments are limited but I started doing the Harmony laser and I love the results of more even skin and smaller pres.
Julie is an expert at exfoliating and I tried the facial where she scrapes and exfoliates your face. Trust me, if you’re going to an event, this is the one! My skin was glowing and smooth for a week afterward.
Most of all I love feeling at home when I step into her beautiful spa, the girls in front especially Chelsea make me feel really special and not nervous.
I highly recommend going to Jodi for your skincare needs, why cover your face with makeup when you can turn back the clock and have beautiful skin with Jodi!!!

I was not impressed at all with my consult with Jodi. I an so thankful I did not go ahead with any services, I could just tell she is about the money. I also have learned that it is best to go to a professionally trained Dr. to have any injectables or fillers. I don’t care about 14 years experience, how many of those people are not satisfied. Also I purchased some sunblock from Med Spa for 45.00 and just recently found it for 26.00. They are overpriced for sure!!!
