I’ve been going to Minda for years now and never ever been disappointed with her work! I highly recommend her for anything she’s personable kind and does a great job. There are also really affordable groupons I highly suggest you purchase before they’re gone!

Minda is absolutely the best. She knows what she’s doing and she is super quick. So far the most painless wax I’ve ever had, and the prices are really great. The other thing that I like about this place is that unlike lots of other salons you don’t get a different waxer every time. It’s always the same person, and she’s great. I definitely recommend this place.

This is a long overdue review for wonderful Minda, who rehab’d my skin when I’d given up hope! Minda does a phenomenal heavier-​duty «lunchtime» peel that will literally lift years of damage off your skin, resurface and fade hyperpigmentation, and for me improved my skin in a fundamental way. I had been at war with my acne-​prone melasma-​prone skin since forever, and a few years ago Minda gave me a series of 6 or 7 PCA peels that changed everything. Recently I went back for some pigmentation rehab and I just want to say that Minda and her peels are as awesome as ever! Not only does Minda do excellent work and use excellent products, she loves what she does and cares about her clients and their results. She gives her clients the same honesty, attention, and information that she would want for herself … also her prices are as reasonable as it gets (especially for repeat clients) so that an average gal like me isn’t priced-​out of looking/​feeling her best :) Thank you Minda!

Love Minda! Being an esthetician myself, and not specializing in Brazilian waxing, I appreciate her attention to detail and gentleness in a sensitive area. Minda is quick, clean, professional and truly does the best Brazilian wax I have ever had, within a 15 min. time frame or less. I always pre-​book with her and have had her do my brows + lip wax occasionally and I have not been disappointment with any service that Minda offers.

If I could rate lower I would. I am new to this brazilian waxing thing, but let me tell you it was night and day from my first experience! She uses hot wax, which hurts like crazy! left me with the worse rash, tender to touch, sore, just horrible looking. My whole body hurt after leaving her parlor! She left wax all over me that I couldn’t get off. She was no help in getting it off, even when I asked. To top off this experience, the hair was not all removed. very stubby, patches left. Bottom line I subjected myself to torture for nothing.

Just want to update my 2012 review to say that although I am mostly living in L A these days, I still wait till I am in Encinitas to see Minda. There’s no one better!

I come here regularly for bikini, eyebrow and lip waxing. I love Minda, she is very nice and good at what she does. Always gets my eyebrows to the shape that I want and does a great job with my bikini as well. Location is great and I love the small business aspect.

So I don’t enjoy leaving anything below four stars, but I think it is helpful to others to know. I think Minda was very kind and professional although being how fast she was I didn’t feel valued as a client. Nor did I feel a reason to return as I was left with wax still on me (I got a Brazilian) and it wasn’t comfortable walking out that way. The price was very reasonable although I do not believe I will be returning.

What can I say except fantastic things about this place and Minda. I go to her location in Encinitas and the experience is great from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is relaxing, it’s nicely decorated, and always smells fantastic!
I go to Minda for Brazilian waxes and she is the absolute best. She knows what she is doing and is so good and efficient, she’s in and out without leaving a single hair behind. I’ve been to other chain wax places before and paid almost double for a Brazilian and they still left strays behind. Minda is so sweet and professional she makes the whole experience great. She is so fantastic, I will continue to go to her for all my waxing needs.

I was able to score a Groupon for a $ 22 waxing with Mindy. I’m so glad that I did!
I have nothing to say but good things about Mindy! I walked in today thinking it was the day of my appointment, but it wasn’t until tomorrow! I was mortified, but she was kind enough to squeeze me in! I even brought my infant with me and she was very accommodating!
It was my first time, and she was very comforting and friendly. The waxing did not take long, and wasn’t «too bad» ;)

I have been going to Minda for 2 years and she is the only person I will see for waxing!
My eyebrows have never looked better and I consistently get complimented. When I first came in, she explained the shape she thought was best and drew it out so I felt comfortable.
I also get regular Brazilian waxes. She is incredibly quick and has the most pain free (as possible) technique.
I have also had my legs and underarms waxed, all great experiences.
I had tried out a number of other waxing locations, but Minda is the best! Great prices and overall just a great person to spend some quality time with :)

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but I had a terrible experience here and I think I should post about it.
I have waxed for years and recently moved. I did my research and found that this was a good fit for me: nearby, fairly priced, and great reviews here on Unilocal.
I was supremely disappointed. I got an underarm and upper lip wax and it was negative all around. Somehow wax got on my nose and I was left with wax that I couldn’t remove all afternoon on my face.
The worst part? I lifted on my underarms. It was so horrible! Even still several months later, I have lingering pain from the lift whenever I wax again or (because I couldn’t take the pain when waxing) when I started shaving.
I understand that everyone is sensitive in different ways and that waxing is always a risk. But I’ve been waxing for years! I’ve been to several salons and have used several types of waxes. I am sure that I lifted not from a sensitivity of the wax but how she pulled the wax from my skin. A photo I took shows that she burned a ring all around my underarms.
You may want to think twice before going for this cheap alternative. I certainly have.

Absolutely AMAZING! You won’t regret visiting here! Just went for the first time last week and I can’t wait to go back. I’ve never had a better wax in my life, her skills are phenomenal, and I haven’t found any other place that has a better deal.
It’s very cute and quaint and you know you’ll always get the same person with the same results! The other small detail I loved was that she lit candles in the waiting area– it smelled nice and had great appeal as soon as you walk in!

Minda has moved one door down, but in the same building. The new space is lovely, private and relaxing.
I have been back to Minda for waxing as well as a peel. She educated me on the peel and what to expect, which was spot on. My skin has improved and it didn’t hurt the pocketbook either!
