The teacher training is an amazingly transforming journey that is truly a gift of unexpected growth and a lifelong treasure. The main teacher Flossie is truly a blessing along with all the others that bestow such amazing gifts upon you. My heart will never be the same and for that my gratitude goes out to the galaxy and back hOMe. Thank you Soul of Yoga. I think everyone should give themselves such a gift

This review is for Prenatal Yoga. I have just completed my trial first month and have thoroughly enjoyed the prenatal yoga classes at Soul of Yoga. Amanda is a beautiful, sincere, sweet soul with a loving and gentle style of instruction. My two gripes with the studio are 1) lack of adequate facilities: no place to change pre-​class; your options are either a bigger foul smelling bathroom (not so good when you’re prego and sensitive to smells), or a teeny-​tiny broomstick closet bathroom; 2) prenatal yoga is offered only 2 times/​week — Sunday and Tuesday. Sunday classes get PACKED. Imagine 21 pregnant women in one medium size room ;-) It would be nice to have a third class option later in the week, like Thursday or Friday. This would be great for someone who wants to be consistent with their practice, help unload the Sunday class and bring the studio more $$

This place is amazing. Hands down best spiritual yoga center in Encinitas. If you want good meditation, yoga and stress release check it out.

I am so blessed to have been able to stumble across this magical and sacred place. The Soul of Yoga is here to help make the world a loving place because it all starts with you. It’s enviable that your life will change just after one class. I was grateful to have my first Kundalini yoga class on my 25^th birthday at the Soul of Yoga and it forever changed my life. I’ve had the pleasure to take classes from Marcia, Tony, Bri, Nicole, and Paige. Each teacher brings their own flare and their authentic self to the class which is so crucial in today’s yoga scene. Often times you’ll go to a class and it feels as though there is nothing fresh… not at the Soul of Yoga. Every time I go to class, I am blessed with a new and life-​nurishing experience.
As soon as you walk in, you feel like you’re home. People are hanging out by the kitchen drinking tea, hugging and embracing one another. This place is the definition of community and family. Gong baths in the big room after your class doesn’t hurt either.
I fell in love after my first class that I plunged in and took my 200 hour Kundalini yoga teacher training to continue to grow my practice. That was also such a life changing experience that I recommend everyone to get involved and bring their practice to the next level.

When I found the Soul of Yoga, I thought Yes, I have found my people! The Soul offers so many things for the conscious lover. A style of yoga for everyone, workshops, concerts, Sunday Soul Talk with the Soul Band and amazing people!
I specifically have fallen in love with the Kundalini yoga they offer at the Soul. All of the different teachers have something so amazing to offer. Marcia’s classes are out of this universe awesome, Tony will rock your world, Bri’s classes are so healing and fun and Nicole blends Kundalini with a great Hatha flow. Stay after class for Yogi tea and talk with the teacher and fellow yogis about the mind blowing experience you just had in class!
Kundalini yoga has forever changed my life! I can go into a class upset about something in my life and by the time class is done, I can barely remember what I was even upset about. Talk about yoga for your mind, body and soul!
The Soul is awesome because they have extra yoga mats and props you can use during class for free — blankets, pillows, bolsters, yoga straps, eye pillows. I’ve been to other places where they charge you for every prop you need. Plus if you are in the big room, they have the most amazing gong to play during shavasana. Make sure you pick out an inspirational card before class too!
Can’t say enough about the platform that the Soul of Yoga is to help you find your inner truth and get to play with like minded, beautiful, crazy yogis, healers and amazing souls!

This place is a hub for healing and taking your yoga practice to the next level. The teachers are knowledgeable and passionate about the yogic technology.
This is my yoga home and I am so grateful to have the soul of yoga in my life.

The best yoga studio around. Something for everyone. Groovy staff. Tom, one of the owners is a zen master chipmunk ball of sunshine. His class is like a church/​therapy/​sweat lodge where your soul is allowed to soar. Pay a visit if you can. I highly recommend.

Love this place… it is a true mind body experience. Everyone is so nice and welcoming.

I took the Yin with Healing class with Brittany and it was one of the most wonderful restorative yoga classes I have taken. Gentle, healing touches and being surrounded by beautiful crystal bowl sounds left me feeling calm and peaceful. The class was well spread out and I felt like I had my space. I felt spiritually fulfilled afterwards. The woman at the front desk was very nice and patient with me, telling me about the studio. Everyone smiled at each other and were respectful of the noise volume while people meditated before class. I will definitely come back and try the other classes as well.

I went to Soul of Yoga for the first time this weekend. What a treat! First of all, it is a beautiful and welcoming sanctuary as soon as you step in the door. The lotus lamps are gorgeous and they have a comfy couch for you to sit on while you are waiting for a class.
Second the class and teachers are amazing. These classes are not for the spiritually-​phoic. They are chalked full on un-​earthly goodness and advice. After thye class I felt connected and refreshed.
I have already gone back for another one.

A calm, welcoming, and nurturing studio — I enjoyed every class that I attended while I visited the area. It was so rewarding to be in a studio that respected the physical component of the practice, but honored the spiritual one as well.
Yin yoga with Bri was perfection. The poses, the environment that she created, her words of wisdom. By far my favorite Yin classes since I started incorporating that style into my practice.
Soul 2 with Marco was the gift I had been waiting for months to receive — His training in massage therapy, yoga, and general awareness of body structure led him to give me a simple correction that set me back on the right path with a posture that I have been struggling with for months. The class was full of energy and spirit — I look forward to joining again next time that I am in town.

The moment I walked into the door I felt love and warmth. I felt a sense of comfort like I was home. I joined the 500hr teacher training. I am so happy that I did my research and chose the Soul of Yoga. They bring in Master teachers who have studied with Gurus around the world not to mention the knowledge and realness of the teachers who teach there daily. Flossie, Monique, Trisha, Tom and Tony. They offer many workshops and continuing education even beyond Yoga teacher training. I am a lifetime student of «The Soul.» The family that I’ve joined when coming to «The Soul» will leave a lasting impression in my heart forever.

Best yoga studio I’ve ever been to, hands down! I fell so in love with their spiritual approach to yoga that I enrolled for their 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program through Sundara. One of the most amazing courses I’ve ever taken in my life. Transformational, spiritual, inspiring, educational, a ton of fun and just downright amazing. They have very high quality yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainers. I couldn’t imagine a better person guiding the 16 of us through the 200Hr program than the amazing, wise, yoga sage Flossie Park. She is truly an unbelievable soul with an enormous heart. Through the program I deepened my understanding of yoga philosophy, connected with Source in a way I’d been looking for for years and experienced the joy and challenge of bringing yoga to others.
I think one of my favorite aspects of this studio is that it’s not just a yoga studio or a place to workout and leave. It’s a community! I’m with friends and «family» whenever I’m there. I feel at home. I just love this place.
I’ve never been to a yoga studio where I felt like I was actually doing yoga. Asana, yes, but not yoga. They bring in the philosophical, the spiritual, the pranayama, meditation, etc. It’s a holistic yoga experience, not just a great workout. I can’t recommend the Soul enough.

This place holds what the name communicates: ‘Soul of Yoga’! As a explorer of Life, I have travelled a lot through the world and have seen a lot of Yoga Studios, but this one had this special feeling as soon as I walked in the door. A feeling of having the possibility to connect truly to my Soul, to my true self. This yoga teacher training has supported my transformational process and connected me again to my heart! This place is for those, who really are interested in learning all facets of Yoga, not just the physical practice. Thank you Soul of Yoga for this unique experience!!!

Soul of Yoga Teachers Institute had fun and educational classes beyond the typical yoga teachers school.
I have attended their classes (and a lot of others from around the country) and I am consistently impressed with both the teaching quality and the broad spectrum of classes they offer.
It is clearly money and time well spent!

What a GEM of a yoga studio! From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted like a life long friend. Even though I consider myself a beginner, I was welcomed in and every effort was made to make sure I was comfortable, that my needs were addressed and that my experience exceeded my expectations. I came in feeling the weight of the world with stress from work, stress from running a household with four kids, stress from trying to squeeze 48 into 24 hours and I left completely relaxed, refreshed and refocused. And the caliber of staff here … it is like the «who’s who» in Yoga — who would have known. Love this place and am making it my go-​to yoga studio!

LOVE this place. Beautiful wooden floors and an open, light filled studio. But the best part really is the people. It is so warm and friendly, and the people here are so lovely. I was new to practicing yoga and had the opportunity to practice prenatal yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays here. After my baby was born, I attended mommy & me yoga here sometimes. My instructor was amazing and just a beautiful spirit. I always leave here feeling relaxed. I sometimes tried a Saturday morning prenatal class as well and the week before my baby was born, the entire class did a beautiful baby blessing for him. All those wonderful wishes must have worked because he had a truly beautiful birth and is a wonderful kid.
The one thing I will say is that the classes tend to have a moment of reflection or a brief spiritual aspect at the beginning and are not purely a physical yoga class. So it may not be for everyone. The yoga classes at Frog’s Fitness are different in feel. But for me, working on breathing and taking a moment or two to reflect adds to the experience.

This place is a true spiritual mecca! I love all the teachers and the people who attend their training programs. I have never had a disappointing class or a bad experience. I always walk out with my soul fed and nurtured. They offer so many great programs. I am in their Holistic Yoga Therapy training and each section and class blows me away. I LOVE Tom and Trisha for their ability to elevate people and inspire. These two have clearly done their work in this life and are well suited to be teachers and gurus to others. I love the support staff and the ambiance. Monique is the creator of the teacher training program and is a luminous gem of a woman. She is the epitome of loving kindness and compassion. I will continue to study here for a long long time. SO glad the universe led me here.

Have you found that stillness is elusive? A sense of calm has left your being and been replaced with hurried frustration, and endless list of to-​dos and fatigue? Feel like you’re about to snap? I’ve been there. And for those of you who know my reviews, I’m a daily yogi, but I must admit that even the most joyful yogis get sad or even burned out at times. I needed to change my routine, and my yoga Mentor, Maria, recommended I set some time aside to journey to Soul of Yoga in Encinitas to meditate and revive my mind and spirit.
As a new student for $ 25 you can have unlimited access to Soul of Yoga’s classes for two weeks. Here’s a brief synopsis of the classes I’ve checked out so far:
–Rev. Tom and Rev. Trisha Kelly’s Sacred Movement Class on Sunday Morning is a wonderful non-​denominational church session with hatha yoga postures, positive life affirmations, meditation and energizing music. When I walked in the door, I was greeted and embraced by the most kind yogis I’ve met in ages! Rev. Tom and Rev. Trisha radiate pure love, and I was so pleased to begin my Sunday with them.
–Marcia’s CrystalRei class will really make you feel like you’re levitating right off the floor. Gentle hatha flow — with a mind-​altering meditation in savasana in which Reiki Angels work their magic to help heal you, and crystal bowls are played. The ethereal sound of music mixed with the healing touch of a Reiki specialist works divine healing right through your soul.
–My mentor Maria recommended that I try Yin with Reiki and warned me that over the 75 minutes we would likely only do five asanas (postures) but they would be supported with bolsters and Reiki Angels would help assist you in the asanas to facilitate better energy exchange. It was an amazing experience. Gravity, and stillness work wonders on stretching the connective tissues. We did pigeon pose for well over 10 minutes (5+ on each side) and the depth I reached within the pose both in my muscle fascia and in my mind was intense.
For you vinyasa die hards, they also offer vigorous vinyasa classes — and even yoga on the barre. I’m looking forward to trying those classes too — but for now, I’m focusing on cultivating stillness. Soul of Yoga is my Mecca, and I can’t wait to enroll in the Sundara 300 to complete my RYT 500. If you’re ready — this is the place do explore opening your mind, body and spirit.
