Went here yesterday as I was in the area. There was a gaggle of people inside, but they all seemed to be part of the same group, so I wasn’t too fazed. The barrista who took my order, a young man in his early to mid twenties, was a bit rude and abrasive. Cut me off in the middle of what I was saying, glared at me, and then kind of blew me off after I paid. The others behind the counter were pretty nice, and I’d go back if I were in the area.

Again, same store, same drink, same products, different locations. Located on 101 in Encinitas. Consistency as always.

Normally pleasant workers. Today Deb so rude I was appalled. She snapped at me for the simplest question. I had two separate orders. I guess that was difficult. Every disappointed.

The Barista was very rude to me because I didn’t understand something about a drink. I asked a few questions and they responded with attitude and actually rolled their eyes at me. I don’t know if it was a guy or girl.

This location needs a bit of … Well… love… The customer service experience was very bad. The people here seem to not like their job. It doesn’t hurt to SMILE! The cleanliness of the place needed a lot of work! There was trash on the floor and on the tables, my boyfriend and I came here to kill sometime with our iPads and ended up getting our drinks and leaving.

Very sad Starbucks here. Ordered my usual Berry Hibiscus Refresher and it was so diluted in color and they only dropped literally 2 blackberries in it. Are you serious? I called them out on it as this was the first Starbucks that served it like that. The woman was first giving attitude saying how adding more blackberries wouldn’t affect the taste but seriously only 2 blackberries? Just make it how it’s supposed to be made. Anyone that has had a Berry Hibiscus Refresher before knows that the baristas always dunk a ton of blackberries in the refresher. Be careful if you come to this location if they try to pull a fast one on you.

Quick and easy, located downtown Encinitas. Friendly staff. As for the drinks, always good. Each Starbucks location seems to be pretty consistent with the next. I like many of the other coffee shops in town also however, they never seem to be open. Starbucks has longer hours and is always dependable when I need my caffeine.

I came here at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning and it was dead. That was the best part of this Starbucks. No waiting inline. The triple venti latte was great. The drip coffees were so so. But no wait !!! If you hate long lines– come to this location Also nice seating outside on the patio

Ordered a soy dirty chai here and received the fastest service ever. The floor looked like it needed to be swept as well as counter tops needed to be wiped down. My drink came out just as expected. Thank you

I have been coming here nearly every weekday for the last 5 months as it’s on my way to my new job. Service is usually pretty good. However, someone new has started and sadly my order has been wrong 3 of the last 5 times. The first time I let slide, I didn’t want to be rude, she’s new, things happen. The second time, she tried to tell me that she made the drink correctly, even though it was very obviously not what I order every single day. Someone else finally came to the rescue and fixed my drink. I didn’t go the day after that because, frankly, I was annoyed. I know, I know — first world problems. But customer service and all that. So I came back today and I’m almost 100% sure she used regular milk in my soy drink. Something is not right. But I didn’t want to get in another discussion about how she made my drink, so I left. I don’t want this poor girl to lose her job, but maybe she needs some direct supervision while making drinks. I’ll try another location for a while. Not as conveniently located but hopefully I’ll quit wasting money on drinks that aren’t properly made.

Second Review:: They should change the name of the store to «grumpys». The lsat time I went there, there were closed when they were supposed to be open(see first review below.). I really wish I din’t try them again. The manager was ranting in front of the customers quite loudly that someone shipped something to the store that was different than she ordered. She continued to rant loudly about several other things that I stopped listening to. Not a single of the baristas smiled. Other Starbucks will add ice you tour late/mocha. When I asked them to, I was scolded and too the«right way» to order a drink that wasn’t really hot. They call it «kids temperature». If you are in the Enciitas area and have any interest in getting anything from Starbucks, go to the store at Lucadia &I5. It’s only about 5 minutes aaa via I5 North. They treat you well and smile. 5:30AM and they are not open @ 5AM like they are supposed to be according to both the Starbucks Aap and Unilocal. I would have posted a pic of the closed store but there wasn’t enough light — BECAUSEITWASCLOSED! MUST. … FIND … COFFEEEEEEE. … P.S I really wish that Starbucks Corporate read Unilocal reviews …

**********DONOTCOMEHERE ************** I will never come to this Starbucks ever again. After making a pit stop from work, I decided to go to this Starbucks for a small coffee break. When I entered the coffee shop, it was very small and had few desk and chairs. When I went to the counter, I bought a drink, but then I decided to rest my head on my arm. Then, a lady came from the side to wipe a perfectly clean table to try to initiate a conversation with me. So, I called her out on her passive aggressive motive, I decided to start the conversation, because I could see right through her fake body language. I said, «yes, how could I help you.» Then this lady told me that homeless people are not allowed to sleep at Starbucks. I was so mad at this lady, I left so quick. This place discriminates against color and class. I was frustrated and have never felt this type of racism before. Little did that rude and judgmental lady, that I am very educated and not working at a Starbucks cleaning table. For the record, I was wearing sweats with a dirty sweater. ***This place will made me cry and ruined my weekend! *****

Terrible, pretentious service. Bought three lattes. Was walking out and remembered I needed a bottle of water for my kid. Tried to buy one and lady said no because they were closed. It was 7:02pm and there were still plenty of customers there. Then tried to use the bathroom and it was conveniently closed for servicing. What obnoxious jerks.

Walked in exactly at 5:00 and asked if the happy hour was still going on for the Frapps, she looked at the clock and said it ends at 5 and it’s five right now. RUDE! Not to mention what horrible customer service that is. I’m sorry they were too lazy to make one, wasn’t even busy in there. Lady was just unfriendly period. Older lady with short hair. Won’t be returning to this Starbucks!

Requested a Venti Latte’ with one shot of coffee, Clerk stated she still had to charge me for two shots. Latte was prepared but tasted scorched, customer requested another Latte, not satisfied with the scorched taste, server then used SPOILED milk to make the second Latte? GOFIGURE. Service and Latte was not up to standards

I am soo tired of the arrogance that corporate ownership carries. The beans are flat. The espresso is 9 of 10 times bitter– Y? Trained employees. yeah they are trained, but in the Starbucks way. And guess what Mr. Arrogant? You are wrong. Only good when you are in the middle of the country, in a lousy hotel. But, I will still bring my own french press and provide myself with something satisfying, worth the time, and $. oh yeah, they make good Hot Chocolate. Way to go coffee shop. The best thing you have, has nothing to do with coffee!

I come here because it’s close to my work, about 3 blocks away. Starbucks gets a lot of shit, but I have learned to love it over the years. Not the biggest fan of their coffee, honestly. I don’t drink all the super sweet desserty drinks with shitloads of whipped cream, milk, and other non-coffee ingredients. And their regular coffee tends to taste a bit on the burnt side… even so, Starbucks gets major points because of their ubiquity. I always end up with a Starbucks card as a present and end up spending very little money here. They also give away free itunes songs occasionally, and the songs are actually quite good. Recently, they have started giving away free e-books! They also play awesome music.

Don’t expect to have dinner at a nearby restaurant and stop by here for an after dinner cup of Joe. This place closes at 7:30pm my friends. With all the restaurants nearby, this seems to be a little too early. The one thing I can expect at this store is that the inside is always FREEZING! They blast the AC which I think is a waste of energy. You’re located right along the coast… it’s never that hot. I don’t know why they need to make it that cold. Chuao Chocolates a few doors down isn’t even that cold… and they have a reason to control the temperature in the store. Anyway, if the store wasn’t an icebox and if they kept longer hours, I’d give them more stars but 2 stars is my final answer.
