The Seed Preschool and Daycare

Our daughter has been attending The Seed for almost a year. She is 21 months old and really enjoys the environment, and the staff. The owner is all about communication and truly wants the best for your child. This is why she meets with you and your child in advance to ensure it is a good fit for everyone. She gives me an update when I pick up my daughter, and also communicates through text or a call during the day if necessary. The first few months she even sent pictures of our daughter to us since it was challenging for me as a first time mom to leave her in a new place. She is easy to get ahold of and will take the time to talk to you, listen to your child’s needs, and your wants as a parent. Our daughter is learning social skills, getting lots of fresh air, play time, exploring, and learning about nature. The Seed includes healthy home cooked organic vegan meals, a loving staff, and an environment where your child can learn while having fun at the same time. They also do arts and crafts, music and read books. I have peace of mind knowing that my daughter is in the right place while I’m not with her. Unfortunately we have had experiences where we did not feel this way, which is why we are very thankful for the recommendation to try out The Seed.

My daughter has been attending The Seed for almost one year and is extremely happy there. When I pick her up, she doesn’t want to leave. Why not? Because she feels so loved, safe, and happy with the owner, her assistants, and the other children. Sure, children will cry at times when being dropped off; it can be troubling for children when their parents leave them in any circumstance. However, the owner is so caring with them that the tears soon turn to laughter and smiles. My daughter loves her days at The Seed and loves all the staff members. She brings home art projects, learns about the environment, plays in the sand, climbs, runs (as all children this age should be encouraged to do), and learns every day. I would not hesitate to recommend this daycare to anyone. There is plenty of «effort» from all the staff to make EVERY child feel welcome, loved, and secure.

The Seed is the most magnificent playschool/​child care facility I have ever experienced. I have visited several child care places around Encinitas/​Carlsbad and I can tell you from my heart that no place can compare to this! My child is 17 months old and this is his first experience being away from me. He is The Seed’s full time program 2 days a week. Jeanine and her staff couldn’t have been more caring towards me and my child. My child has had to adjust with some short tears, but when I pick him up at the end of the day I walk in on him laughing and socializing. It is adorable and so comforting! My four year old son who attends preschool at another location, begs to go to his younger brother’s school (The Seed) on his days off! The energy is incredible, which of course children pick up on immediately. The food served to the children is incredibly healthy and the program is nature based so they spend lots of time in the garden and playing outside. The place is so clean and charming and spacious. I cannot recommend this child care enough!!!
p. s. My son is so comfortable at The Seed that he naps longer there than he ever has at home! :)
