Been bringing my kids here for 4 years. Both are now brown belts. Sifu Giuseppe and Sempai Jen run an amazing dojo. They go so far beyond just martial arts and really work to build up each students self-​esteem, confidence and strength. I do kung fu there as well. I can’t imagine training anywhere else.

I have honestly loved the time that I have spent here. Everyday it’s a new experience, even if it’s with a move we were taught just last week, and thought we already knew, there was always something they would show us that would give it a new light. It’s a fun, exciting way to exercise. It keeps you continuously striving to better yourself. It teaches you great ways to defend yourself, whether it be a drunken patron, or a knife wielding mad man. It helps train you to focus your mind on something. There are so many benefits that taking a class here can give. Honestly, the best way to learn about it, would be to try it yourself.

I love this place! The instructors are amazing, kind and very attentive. This place drips martial arts experience– the main instructor has trained intensely for decades. The kung fu training is profound– a lot like a moving meditation that gets you in shape at the same time– it’s so much fun! and I never had to worry about injuries– i get less working out here than i did in yoga. I always look forward to coming to class– my two kids loved it too!

My 11 year old started here about 4 months ago. We love it. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging yet firm. They are involved and always mix it up so my son never is bored. They have fun activities throughout the year that you can choose to participate in. my son loved the beach picnic and the even did a training session/​class in the surf. I checked out several local schools and I liked this the best for professionalism, friendliness, organization, and the price was comparable. My son has not been interested in many sports and I feel he is now learning the value of hard work and is gaining physical/​mental confidence and coordination. I’m so glad we chose WCMAA!

This place is incredible, the absolute real deal. The entire staff is excellent. Sifu Giuseppe is a true leader and created an environment that not only teaches the true spirit of Martial arts, but addresses basic life skills like respect, discipline, bullying and overall character development. The training is exactly what me and my wife were looking for in a martial arts academy for our 9 year old son. Sensei Tyler and Sensei Jen also give great personal attention and control classes of students like I’ve never seen. As a parent I’m amazed at how much my son has grown in such a short period of time. I’d recommend WCMAA 100%

We’ve been members of WCMAA for three years and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to enroll both of our children back in 2013. WCMAA has taught our children skills tangible skills that get recognized and admired by other sport coaches and teachers. My son started taking classes almost a year ago. Fast forward now he’s 5 years old and absolutely loving. Sensei Tyler, Sensei Jen and Sifu are the best teachers/​instructors you will ever find. They are so passionate about teaching they put all their energy and expertise into every class. Their classes not only focus on techniques but also on building character through honor and respect. I love how they teach kids about being well rounded respectful individuals and keep them motivated to keep moving forward. I like this studio so much that I started taking Kung fu classes myself and I’m loving it too. There are many martial arts studios in Encinitas but this is the best place if you’re looking for top quality training.

Absolutely the best place to learn martial arts. Sifu Giuseppe Aliotta is wonderful with the kids. Very positive and up lifting in the way he instructs his students. Great place for the young and young at heart to go to learn and make great lasting friendships.

Without a doubt, Sifu Giuseppe and Sensi Jen have provided my two children and I all that we could ask for in martial arts training – providing both a great range of kempo and kung fu classes as well as character development and learning. When we decided to put our oldest of 3 boys, Jack, into martial arts a year ago, we did our homework and looked at several studios in the area. After observing WCMA we decided this was the place for us. I couldn’t be more thrilled with Giuseppe and Miss Jen and their approach with teaching. Giuseppe has a way with kids that makes them want to do better in the studio and at home. He holds them accountable, builds confidence, encourages a positive attitude with learning and supporting others and gives them an outlet to demonstrate their physicality with discipline and fun. I have never once doubted that we made the perfect choice with WCMA for our 3 boys. My husband and I feel like we have added support and parallel goals with Giuseppe to raise these boys to be respectful, confident, compassionate and empowered yet humble young men. We are grateful to have found WCMA.

If you want to learn the true meaning of martial arts and learn authentic tiger claw gong fu then this is the place to be. I highly recommend this school and its teacher… run to the school dont walk… it is worth it.

My son Oliver just started on ²⁄₂ and transferred in from another Kenpo school in Arizona, the teacher took the time to talk to his former Kenpo teacher for over an hour to compare styles and ensure they were similar enough for Oliver to retain his yellow belt and not have to start over. The fact that he took the time to learn about where a student came from before they started shows how much Giuseppe cares about the training of his students who learn from him. In observing his classes he is gentle, caring but keeps the kids focused and properly redirects them to be accurate and not just fast. My son immediately loved the dojo, exercises and techniques and after just 2 lessons is already a fan and looking forward to each session.
On some days the classes are very full, 20+ kids in some of the 4:10pm classes, so my recommendation is to also have private lessons in addition to group as with such large classes it is hard to get through a lot of lessons in each group due to so many kids having to go through the lessons, though they do a great job splitting them into lines with other instructors to help make sure all kids get to participate in every lesson and activity at least once and often more than once.

This place is fantastic. I originally signed my 5 and 3 year old up because of bullying issues, and I really liked the messaging of discipline and respect. I had no idea how phenomenal Sifu Giuseppe and Sensei Jen were with the kids. Turns out they are amazing, devoted, and incredible instructors. I find the constant reinforcement of positive behavior… treating others with respect, honesty, and kindness equal if not surpass the learning they get in school. Bringing them specifically to this studio is one of the best things I have ever done for them. I have signed up myself and find the adult classes to be superb for exercise, learning martial arts, and even meeting great people. I highly recommend, BOTH for children and adults.
