There is no other dentist that I have ever gone to that is so kind, and gentle and so concerned about how I felt about being there.
I have had terrible experiences with Dentists and have always been afraid to go. Yes, even as an adult… I’ve heard many adults feel the same way. Dr. Melnick was wonderful. Both the doctor and his assistant Maria made me feel so at ease.
I absolutely guarantee that you will be happy with Dr, Melnick.
I am just a patient of his, not related, not trying to make him look good but I had to let everyone know about this fabulous office!

i have been a patient of Dr. Melnick’s since I was 18 years old. It is now 40 years later and Dr. Melnick is still the consummate, meticulous and kind professional he was when I was a teenager. Both my parents went to Dr. Melnick and I have referred many friends to him that now call him their primary dentist.
My father would always say that Dr. Melnick was a meticulous artist as my dad had a lot of gold fillings. My parents started with Dr. Melnick as well when I turned 18. In today’s medical climate, it is rare to find the breed of dentist that Dr. Melnick is. My grandfather was a surgeon during the Depression Era and believed in putting his patients first and meeting every need of theirs. Dr. Melnick shares those same traits and characteristics. He practices denistry the way it should be done. He stays abreast of all the medical technologies and refers you to the appropriate specialists if warranted. He only associates his practice with those on par with his uncompromising ethics. On one occasion, I went to Dr. Melnick thinking I had a dental issue as I was in incruciating pain. Because of Dr. Melnick’s unparalleled expertise, he was able to make the determination that it was a sinus infection causing my dental discomfort. Where will I go when the day comes and this exceptional dentist retires? It will be a tremendous loss to his patients and all that know him! On a last note, Dr. Melnick just doesn’t care about your teeth, he always inquires about how you are doing and truly cares about one’s family and their well being. His entire staff also is representative of the kind of man, Doctor and professional he is. They must share in the same values as he does regarding his practice and patient care.

I would like to add my positive experience over the last 18 months since hearing about Dr Melnick. I had not seen a dentist in years and my dental issues were not the best, partly due to my fault with not caring for them in my past years… the last straw was when I had 1 of my molar’s crack on the side. The pain was incredible and I had to find help fast. Thank goodness I ended up at Dr Melnicks office, he is the real deal and reassured me in an honest and calm way that my chipped molar could be worked on, saved and crowned if things were not to bad… and also that my other dental hygiene gum issues could be delt with… I am happy to say that things are going better for me in my overall dental heath and I can honesty say Dr Melnick with his honest good advice and personal professional care has helped me greatly… His staff is professional from when you walk in the door and I can say to anyone looking for a good Dental experience to give Dr Melnick a try. Thanks Dr Melnick!
update — November 10^th 2015. Another year with Dr Allen Melnick and his great staff. I can always feel at ease knowing I am in good hands with Dr Melnick and his staff for all my dental needs.

I have been going to Dr. Melnick for about 4 years and am always pleased with the service I receive. The staff is really nice and they dont treat you like a patient — they treat you like family. They are sensitive to people, like me, who fear going to the dentist. They are gentle and explain everything in detail. I highly recommend them!!!

I meet with Dr. Melnick and his staff twice so far and both times was very happy with the outcome. Like most people, I hate going to the dentist due primarily to pain and the out of pocket costs. I have had three dentists (other than Dr. Melnick) in the past eight years. I have had extensive dental work in my life and every prior dentist over the past few years wanted to «replace» the previous dentists work — no matter how old the work was! I’ve had two crowns that were very recent which I was told should be replaced «soon» or there is always a hard sell for services they think you might want such as teeth whitening and then the inevitable guilt trip they put you thru if you don’t want it. I didn’t encounter any of that with Dr. Melnick, rather, an honest assessment of my dental needs and short-​term, long-​term plans for my dental work. I was very impressed and highly recommend this dentist if you want someone honest who’s not going to try and sell you services you don’t want or need.

Dr. Melnick is the best dentist I have ever experienced. After several traumatizing experiences, I refused to go to the dentist all together, as a result me teeth started to deteriorate right before my eyes. Finally I took a chance and a made an appointment. The staff was very nice and helpful. Denise the assistant is very nice and friendly. I was so embarrassed by the state of my teeth but the two of them made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Melnick is the most patient, gentle, and experienced dentist I have had, he cradles your head in his hands and before you know it you’re done. He called me personally to check on me after my appointment. I cannot express how grateful I am for Dr. Melnick and his staff, he gave me my smile back!

Saw Dr. Melnick for a cleaning and a free cancer screening (one of the only people in Los Angeles who provide this service) His office is very clean and very professional. Dr Melnick immediately put me at ease with his demeanor and his new staff is amazing. Maria is as great an office manager as you can have, always smiling, and always willing to accommodate the patients, and Ralita actually makes the cleaning as fun as possible and is very gentle so you won’t be in pain the whole time. I used to hate going to the dentist but now I actually enjoy it. I will now be seeing him as my regular dentist such was the quality of the service i received. LA needs more honest, good hearted, and professional dentists and doctors like Dr. Melnick. I would recommend anyone to go see him.

I went to Dr. M for years, until I moved across the country. I have yet to find a dentist who even compares!

Dr. Melnick is a very talented dentist. I happen to have teeth that were too small for the space. I was very concerned about making sure I didn’t have a fake Hollywood smile. Where some dentists would have insisted on doing Veeners, in my particular case, to get the natural look I wanted, Dr. Melnick worked magic and free-​handed the artistry. What I have is a really natural look that has lasted for more than 10 years. His office is professional and really helps navigate the insurance maze. I highly recommend Dr. Melnick.
