Joel showed up immediately and did complete and thorough inspection of the house. He took time to examine the house, crawl space and attic, even took pictures for me and explained everything in details and gave me the best estimate out of 4 companies I checked with before. He was very respectful, patient and professional. His bid was itemized and with options to choose. While checking for termites he pointed out on the leak under the shower pan which if he won’t mentioned would create a bigger problem in future. During the process he was always available on the phone and his secretary Jenny was great. Jenny and Joel followed up with every request and detail. I am very happy with Joel’s work and would recommend him to everyone!

Joel goes above and beyond! He spent so much time and energy helping me rid the house of termites. (And other pests!) Rarely do I get to meet a human being as caring and considerate as he. He even tore down an old trellis so that it would not infest the house. LOVE.

I’m very happy with the work that Joel and his crew did for us. We needed some wood posts replaced because they were rotting and I found him on Angie’s List. Joel did a termite inspection for the us and was very knowledgeable and honest. He arrived on time, was very courteous, and explained everything thoroughly. He took his time and inspected everything in detail. If anything needs repairing, he is able to also do the repairs. I will call him again when I have any termite related questions or concerns.

Joel from Handytech repaired weather-​related damage to my eaves, facia, trim, and patio cover. He removed, replaced, and repaired the damaged material and then caulked, waterproofed, and painted the affected areas. The repaired areas look like new. And they did it all at a very reasonable price. I couldn’t be more pleased with their work. I would hire Handytech again in a heartbeat.

Joel provided a complete termite inspection and although no termites were found, recommended maintenance on my part of simple but often time overlooked things such as exposed wood due to chipped paint. He pointed out to me that this, for example, is where I may have potential future problems.

After a complete inspection, Joel gave recommendations for all sorts of maintenance my house could use to prevent termites, fungus and rodents. He listened to all my concerns and enthusiastically agreed to do extra work based on what I needed. He treated subterranean termites under my house and dry wood termites in my french doors. He explained everything completely — even taking videos under the house to show me how leftover construction debris was creating a habitat for the bugs.
He replaced screening around my house, sealed paint cracked siding, sealed and repainted fascia board, caulked grout in the kitchen, created an access to my sun room floor to inspect for any water damage, termites, rodents. All his work he explains in detail why it is necessary — because water damage and access points cause rodent and bug infestations!
On top of his hard work — Joel is a great guy! Super friendly, easy going, loves animals and respectful.

He checked with me as he went through my house to make sure anything he moved was ok with me. I actually got an interesting education on termites in the process. Did you know a few chips in paint exposing wood is enough for termites to get into your house? Joel knows all the signs of termite activity and is happy to explain everything to you.

The morning after I called him, he came out and did a very thorough inspection and wrote up a quote for three different parts of the job. He was clean, prompt, professional, and pleasant. After reviewing his quote (very reasonable rates, delivered in writing about 15 minutes after his inspection), we decided to have him go ahead with the first phase of what he quoted.
He came this morning and did the actual work, and it was all above and beyond what we expected. He took me around the property when he was finished so I could see what all had been done, and his work was great.
