R & M Fence

A very close friend of mine had a fence built a few years ago and I was quite impressed with what I saw. When it came time to replace our fence I called R & M Fence and Marc came out. I was impressed by his friendly demeanor and professionalism. The 7′ high redwood board on board fence was completed yesterday (along with three gates which were constructed on site) and the outcome is fantastic! I would highly recommend this company! Thanks Marc and Zelma for getting the job done so fast and so well!

I kept waiting for this guy and his company to come and install frames, big garage sliding door and two small gates since 2015 begging of summer. He said he would match another estimate that I had then said he cannot match the other estimate and wanted more money. So we agreed on a price and a time frame when he will resume the work. Then when that time comes to install the fence I didn’t hear from him, so I emailed and ask him about it, he said he is stuck doing another big job for a «celebrity.» He said he would start my job and I was on top of his list (blah blah blah). Then we agreed upon another time for few months later on September 2015. Then September came and went didn’t hear from him so I emailed him. He said «his welder had a heat stroke» (excuses excuses… Haha). At this point he apologized and said he won’t be able to do my job cuz it was taking too long to do it as he promised. So I asked him when can he do it… And that I can wait. So he said on November 2015 so when I was waiting and November comes he said he would not be able to do my job because his welder’s «father died» and he has to go back to his country. So if you like me waiting for this guy to come finish the work, good luck! I suggest you go elsewhere!

Marc Reyes and R & M Fence are the absolute best. I had previous called them to get a quote on a 100′ wooden fence. Their quote actually came in the lowest but my neighbor wanted to go w/​someone he had used before so we went w/​them. However, I had seen on R & M Fence’s website that they also did wrought-​iron fences and I knew I wanted to replace the rusted one on my front lawn so I let Marc know that I would be call him at some point to get a quote.
So a couple of months later, I decided to pull the trigger on the job and called Marc. He came out and we talked for a while, and what a great guy. He was so knowledgeable. Really knew his stuff. We settled on what I wanted to do and he emailed me later that night w/​a quote. It was very reasonable and competitive. I didn’t even bother calling anyone else. He and his crew scheduled me in a couple of weeks later (to allow his vendor to powder coat the fence) and came out promptly the day they said they would and even showed up a little early!
The job went off w/​out a hitch. After Marc saw everything was in order, he left to go do some more estimates and left his crew to finish the job. And they were great. They periodically asked me to take a look and see if things were as I wanted them. They were very courteous and professional. Needless to say, I couldn’t be happier w/​the job they did. The whole experience was wonderful start-​to-​finish.
By the way, Marc has a policy they don’t take a down payment on any job. They’re so confident w/​their work they know the customer will be completely satisfied. And if they’re not, Marc said they’ll do whatever it takes to make the costumer happy. If that’s not top-​shelf service, I have no idea what is.
P. S. Btw, the review from that guy «Mark k.» is bogus. Most likely a competitor. What he’s stating Marc «allegedly» did is complete bullshit. Just read all the other reviews and see if that one makes sense.

I wound up doing business with Marc by «accident» as my neighbor hired him to fix our mutual fence. We decided to replace the entire fence and I can not only say how pleased I am with fence but the experience overall!
Mac was a gentleman the whole time and his crew was kind, clean and professional. Rather than leaving my backyard exposed at night his crew use a wire fence I had in my yard to enclose and keep my dog from escaping — and they did this without my asking! The price was fair but the workmanship excellent!
I would recommend Marc and R&M fencing 100%- this is a very honest and professional company!

We replaced our old and nasty fence with a beautifully designed redwood horizontal fence with lattice. We took many bids for the job, but Marc at R&M got the job for a few reasons: He said he would be here at 10am, he was here 5 minutes early. He listened to what we wanted, and also had suggestions for how to make it better. He also beat the other bids, hands down. He was available to us by phone and every day in person during the construction. It is a family run business, and we love that. I could not be happier with the fence or the experience. We went from a blight to the crowning jewel of the block.
Also, his workers were professional, clean, and on time EVERY DAY. I would recommend this company without a moment’s hesitation.

They put up a beautiful wood fence for us. Prices are comparable with other quotes we got. Crew super polite, friendly and efficient. Totally trust their work and highly recommend.

I used R&M Fence to replace 65 feet of old fence with a horizontal wooden fence in our yard around the pool patio in 2 sections. The design, work and finished product are amazing… Marc, the owner, was awesome to work with from the first appointment, to rereviewing the bid with us, to doing the job, and even called after it was done to amke sure we were totally happy!
I got 5 bids for this job since a high quality redwood horizontal modern fence can be pricey. R&M was the best bid, but more importantly we saw how engaged Marc was in the bidding process and he showed us a huge photo book of his previous fences that looked great and really was a great responsible business owner to deal with. He was patient with us when finalizing color and offered stain color samples on a piece of wood so we could see it up close live rather than pciking the color off of a paint/​stain chart. I am fussy and have a good eye for detail and Marc was met my high standards.
His two employees are great adn have been with him for many many years, which is also a good sign. Quiet, respectful and work very clean. They communciated with my neighbor and assured her that her side of teh fence was just as important to them. I even made a change to the heigh of one section of the fence after they were done and Marc made the change happily and quickly at no extra charge. They even stained two wooden planter boxes for us at no extra charge. Nice not to get nickled and dimed.
We liked R&M so much, I am hiring them to do a job at one of my businesses I manage in the LA area. I recommend R&M for fence, deck or gates without hesitation!
