Ate at Buona Vita tonight for about the 5th time. As always, the food quality and quantity was fantastic. Chicken Francaise and Veal Sorrentino were huge and delicious, as were the salads and bread prior to the main course. We ate at the bar, and the bartender, waitresses and other staff we saw were all great. Food came quickly and service was excellent. Great place to eat!

Food was good & the waitstaff pleasant. Would recommend this restaurant to others. Reasonable prices for the food you get. Only been couple times, and would definitely go back.

I wish I lived closer to this restaurant because I would eat here often. I love their chicken Parmesan dish. Huge portions. Enough for two people to share and both have leftovers the next day. I also had a salad I liked a lot that had bacon in it and Gorgonzola cheese. This restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night. I can imagine there being a wait to dine in on the weekend.

I haven’t been so impressed with a dining experience in a long while! Food was unbelievably delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Casual dining with outstanding food. Ordered the Caesar salad with homemade dressing, super large portion! The calamari was amazing; crispy, not gummy… And the marinara was SOGOOD. I could have drank it! The penne a là vodka was hands down the best I have ever had in my life(don’t tell my mom). Creamy, bursting with flavor, garnished with shaved Parmesan and freshly chopped basil. My girlfriend got the chicken parmesan and it was insanely good. There were two large chicken breasts, not too thin– not too thick. Juicy yet crispy, seasoned to perfection, and lots of warm bubbling mozzarella. Best part of it all was the crazy low prices. More than fair– great for date night, family night, or take out. Stop reading and go eat!

One of many classic Italian American restaurants in the area with typical pizza house setting. Chicken Francaise had thicker cutlets than I would have preferred, with a taste like Chinese chicken fingers. Spinach bed was sautéed in too much oil & garlic, and didn’t integrate with lemon sauce. Bread slicks were soft and tasty and salad with(garlicky) ranch was great. Huge portion sizes. Hubby pointed out that server area and kitchen floors were filthy — and if he noticed that means they were really in trouble

This is one of my all time favorites! Some people think it’s just a pizza place but they are dead wrong. They have everything from salmon, steaks, and osso bucco to Paninis, ahi tuna tacos and grinders. Each dish comes out beautifully presented and made to order(not to mention in a timely fashion). Great bar specials for games, and excellent for a date night too! No also would like to give credit to the servers who are knowledgeable, kind, and great at their jobs. This is my go to!

…don’t read this!!! You are wasting time!!! Get in your car and go to Buona Vita… NOW!!! The food is amazing… a true diamond in the rough!!! From the gorgonzola shrimp to the corn chowder to the pork chop special with roasted pumpkin ravioli and a sage cream sauce EVERYTHING was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious… our server Kelly was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed… the only bad thing about this place is that it’s closed Monday… go now… you’ll not regret it!!!

Stopped in based on the Unilocal reviews. Yummy! Started with a great chicken soup which had a hint of lemon and was awesome. My husband had a very fresh salad. I had the chicken francesce and my husband had lobster ravioli with shrimp. Both were excellent! Loved the fresh bread with olive oil. Service was excellent !

This café offers a wide selection of excellent food. Things appear to be fresh prepared to order. The shrimp added to my salad were top notch. My son enjoyed the chicken wings available with various flavored and spiciness levels. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Drinks were large.

My husband I come here often for lunch. There is a special Tuesday thru Friday. Buy one get one half off. Our bill is under $ 13 usually. You can’t go wrong. That is soup or salad Roos and an entrée. Food is great. Love their chicken Parmesan and chicken Marsala … Best deal in town!

An old staple. We were never disappointed at Buona Vita. Somewhat embarrassingly, my favorite there was their cheeseburger, which was fresh and topped with fresh ingredients(including red onion). Pizza there was decent; one could taste the olive oil in their tomato sauce, which is a huge plus for me and, I’m told, something of a deal-breaker for others. And… drum roll please… SANEPORTIONSIZES. This is not a place where they’ll fill a manhole cover with food and put it in front of you for ten dollars. Instead, they do what they do well and serve it to you in a portion size that makes sense for human consumption. Heavily recommended.

Enjoyed a great meal — extremely large portions of both my Italian salad and my husband’s pasta with meat sauce. We could have easily split either one. A bit noisy, but good service and delicious bread while we waited for our meals.

The food was great! I stopped in at Buona Vita for a late lunch recently, around 2:48 pm on a Friday afternoon. I still had about 10 minutes left until lunch was over. I sat myself in a big booth and the waitress promptly arrived with menu and took my drink order. I quickly decided to order the Chicken & Penne Alla Vodka Lunch Special($ 8 lunch) served with salad or soup. I started out with a bowl of Southwest Sausage Soup served with saltines. The soup had mix of ground Sausage, corn, & black beans in a thick tasty broth. The entrée came out 10 minutes later served hot. The portion was just right, which al dente penne, broccoli, mushrooms, red peppers, and pieces of grilled chicken in a tomato based Vodka sauce. The pasta dish had good flavors and I could taste the Vodka in the sauce. I passed on the offer for dessert and coffee since I had to take off for an appointment. The service here was sufficient, food dropped off fresh and hot. I would definitely dine here again for some tasty Italian food.

Went here today for the«Sunday Gravy served all day long» for $ 13.99 only to find that they no longer serve that item. Well, I’m thinking you’d want to take it off the menu and not use it as your advertisement on your webpage if you aren’t actually serving it. The other issue was that they left the doors open rather than turning the air on and it was humid and we had some flies for visitors during our lunch. Once we got over that issue, we did enjoy the chicken marsala and pesto pasta. The food is always good. Our server, Kate, was very efficient and pleasant. I can’t say I’ll go back soon based on the false advertising, but it is a solid restaurant.

You know when people tell you to go somewhere to eat because the food is great? You take their advice and the food is horrible but they give you enough to feed an army(which in their book makes it great). THISISNOT that place. My husband and I come here quite frequently for the Veal Parmesan. We have learned to share an order and we still bring enough home for lunch the next day($ 5 up charge but you each get a salad or soup). They start you with some straight out of the oven garlic knots with dipping oil and fresh Parmesan(swoon). The salad is just your average iceberg lettuce garden variety salad. We’ve also gotten their«house special» pizza which I thought to be very good. My husband had eaten pizza from the same place for over 40 years so he was a little prejudiced

I used to come here with my mom for pizza during my teenage years. We loved their white pizza with fresh garlic so much that we never tried anything else. Fast forward half a lifetime, and my dad, brother and I were looking for something other than the Enfield chain restaurants and our go-to burger joints in Longmeadow and Springfield, and I looked to Unilocal for recommendations. I was reminded of Buona Vita. We went, and had a great experience. Good local brews, amazing bread, and delicious entrees. My dad and I came back again during my time home for the holidays and I tried some special gingerbread or pumpkin margarita. Odd, but I liked it. Our meals were fabulous. We just went back again tonight, all 3 of us. I had the chicken francaise, brother had the veal sorrentino, and dad had fish and chips. I, like usual, ate like a bird and brought half my meal home but it was SO. DANG. GOOD. The lemon wine sauce was delicious and the chicken was perfectly(lightly) fried. The spinach was definitely fresh — a perfect bright green, not the dark color you get from frozen spinach. The scallions were also fresh. All-in-all, another A+ meal from Buona Vita. There’s never a wait when we go but it’s always busy, yet the service is always impeccable. Everyone is so friendly. One of these days I will save room for a cannoli. I also love that they make all their own salad dressings. I normally hate ranch on a salad but theirs tastes like a combination between ranch and italian — not watery but not so thick it feels like jello either.

My friend remembered coming here a few years ago. He said it was good Italian food. We both ordered lasagna. Delicious! Nice portions and came with choice of soup or salad. We will be back!

I bookmarked Buonavita after seeing Irene Y’s review for Clams Casino pizza. Wha?!! When I was in town, I told my local friends that we were checking them out for lunch. Some had been, and liked it, and some had just heard of it. I couldn’t get them to bite on the pizza, so I went with the 10″ small. I thoroughly enjoyed the toppings — tender clams, crispy bacon, melty cheese — but the crust was your garden variety frozen pizza carboard stock. Sad! The boys had various sandwiches, which were huge. Most included a side. Our waitress was nice. The place was pretty empty for lunch.
