Formerly Shaw’s but now Shop Rite, this is my favorite Super Market in my area. If you are a local and follow their circular, you can figure out when they offer the best prices. In the summertime, often lobsters will be offered as low as $ 3.99lb and steamed while you shop. My only constructive criticism is that staff pushing carts do not give the customer the right of way. I’ve noticed this many times. An area to improve upon. Check out staff is friendly and helpful.

I wish there was a ShopRite closer to me but I don’t mind driving from Springfield to get to this ShopRite. I find that they always have the best prices and always have a good experience there. This past Sunday(Sunday before Christmas) was definitely my best experience yet. They had a LIVE band playing. Talk about customer service! You could tell everyone was much more calm because of the music and it was just a really thoughtful, classy touch.

I was pretty surprised when I found out that a local chain grocery that wasn’t Whole Foods carried a good selection of vegan protein & prepared meals. ShopRite has tons of Gardein products, as well as Daiya cheese, Silk Soy and Almond Dream yogurts, various varieties of Amy’s organic products, Toffutti«cheese» pizza(I haven’t seen this anywhere!). I could go on. They have a decently sized«Gluten Free» section(if you are into that). The store is clean and the lighting doesn’t give me seizures(always a plus). I wish meat & seafood section didn’t reek, but since I don’t eat meat or seafood anymore, I don’t take it as a bad sign of what I am about to purchase. BONUS: They have Snapple Apple 12 packs. Do you know how rare that is?!

Most of the time I find what I am looking for. Be careful because they have many items way past the expiration date.

Helpful and caring employees, a big gluten free section, a sushi chef who makes fresh sushi daily, a hot food bar, skilled baggers/cashiers who service you with a smile, this place has it all. The bakery makes the tastiest treats, especially compared to the other store bakeries. Usually I can’t even stomach grocery store cake. Of course I am going to mention the low prices here, you will save so much more money shopping at Shop Rite, and you know the horrid flimsy clear bags? Shop Rite doesn’t have those, you can fit 10 cans of soup in one without it breaking. It does have some minor cons: When you need help, there usually aren’t a lot of people around to ask. A lot of items are placed randomly through out the store(Ex. pesto can be found in 3 different aisles, etc.) The management isn’t too friendly.

We usually buy in bulk, but didn’t feel the need to this month so came here instead. When I walked in I was impressed by how organized things seemed. I was disappointed by the several empty shelves in the produce section, but I did see someone out there filling some of them. The prices were good-better than the other 2 supermarkets in the area. I found just about everything on my list for better bargains than I expected. As I passed by the fresh baked good sections I was mesmerized by the yummy smell. I had never used self-checkout with a cart full of items before but I did it this time and things went very smoothly. I did get an error message once when a coupon I used didn’t go through. The sales associate that came over to help pointed out that the coupon didn’t start until tomorrow, but was nice enough to give me the discount anyway! I would definitely come back here.

Decent enough grocery store that actually had more organic and healthy options than I had anticipated. Even so, the selection of fruits and veggies paled in comparison to WFM and I had to make do with what was available. They do have some good options with meats though including 93% lean ground beef and pork tenderloin.
