Canine Rehabilitation & Conditioning Group (CRCG) is 100% dedicated to enhancing and/​or improving a dog’s life and physical abilities through exercise, recreation, and rehabilitation.

In terms of rehabilitation, our certified therapists and veterinarians provide therapy for post-​injury or surgery. We use underwater treadmills, endless pools, and other physical therapy modalities to aid recovery. We can also assist with other orthopedic conditions, as well as neuromuscular, age, weight management and other physical problems or impairments.

We also offer year-​round indoor recreational swimming for healthy dogs! Swimming available seven days a week.

History

Established in 2005.

In the spring of 2004, Lori’s dog Clark had a shoulder issue. The orthopedic specialist gave them two options — exploratory surgery or rehabilitation. Lori decided to try rehabilitation first. The results were so successful that it inspired her to launch CRCG. In February of 2005, she opened the Englewood location and since opened clinics in Longmont and Broomfield. Our practitioners are veterinarians, physical therapists and veterinary technicians that are certified in canine rehabilitation. Our services are complimentary to your family veterinary services… Helping your dog get more fetch out of life. (We treat cats too.)

Certified Canine Rehabilitaiton Therapist/​Practitioner (CCRT/P)Rehabilitation/Physical Therapy for dogs and cats. We treat injured, post-​operative, geriatric, athlete, neurologic and orthopedic conditions. We work with your family veterinarian to help your dog or cat get the most out of life. Holistic offerings include acupunture, chiropractic, herbs and nutritional counseling. All of our therapists are veterinarians, physical therapists or vet techs that are certified in canine rehabilitation. Recreational swimming is also available for healthy dogs.

I do have to update that the owner called and tried to help us with the bad experience. And did offer for us to try again. However, we did not end up taking her up on it as our elder dog became very ill. I put the one star again, only because I haven’t been back to change that rating… although it was offered and she seems to be receptive to my concerns. I don’t know if things have changed otherwise

$$$$$ SO EXPENSIVE! Facility looked great and we wanted to find a place for our senior lab to swim or get ass little water exercise. Because she is a senior, they req her to be eval first for $ 200.00. That was OK. After eval, she can not participate in open swim (advertised unlimited swims only $ 35/​month), but would have to pay $ 70.00 for 30 minutes of massage/​laser and Then perhaps water therapy recommended 1 – 2 x week. Deal offered was a 10-​pack for $ 650.00. Wish we had a ton to spend in addition to her meds, special food, ultrasound, and numerous vet visits for her. We love her so much, but don’t have unlimited funds. Wish we had known $ before we spent $ 200.00. Her vet recommended swim/​treadmill in water and being a lab, she is happiest in water. Asked about volunteering so she could get some water time and receptionist didn’t seem very receptive. If money is not an issue, then this facility may be the place for your dog. I recommend you ask about cost possibly way over double the advertised cost of swim time if you have an older dog.

I came upon this place by recommendation of my vet. My dog has had multiple orthopedic surgeries, and after being «ran over by a car» (the quotation marks mean it’s a long story), I decided that it was time to explore some alternative methods for pain and arthritis management. I didn’t have too much trouble finding this place, but to be fair, I am from the area. The inside is nice and clean, and I was greeted by very pleasant front desk staff. .
During the initial consultation (which rings in at about $ 150), the rehab vet performed an examination, as well as quite a bit of therapy (including laser therapy) and stretching, and it lasted nearly two hours. The vet took a very thorough history, my dog seemed very at ease with her, and she offered many pieces of helpful advise.
We have made a follow up appointment, so I look forward to updating this review. Hopefully, I will have positive things to say about CRCG and my dog’s progress!

where other than the denver/​boulder area could you find an INDOOR PUBLIC DOG POOL? yo, people here are SERIOUS about their dogs! and i’m glad!
this place is GREAT for giving our delilah a good workout, especially on those days when it’s too cold to play outside. (ahem. too cold for me, that is.) the pool doesn’t smell bad, is always clean and clear, and offers a walk-​in ramp for those doggies who haven’t figured out the UTTER JOY of jumping into the water yet.
during open recreational swim times (when the pool isn’t reserved for private use), it can get a little crowded, and not all the human clients have the nicest manners. but the staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are ok.
we’re fans!

After my dogs getting Giardia from the local dog park pond (and assorted other diarrhea causing bacterias) I decided to give CRCG a try– LOVE IT! I do recommend renting the pool all to yourself on a Wednesday or Sunday if your dog is a little shy about the group swimming thing (it can get overwhelming with cannon-​balling canines left and right). Such a great place to take your dogs where they can get healthy exercise in a CLEAN pool! Highly recommend!

I don’t remember anymore how we discovered CRCG, but it was our good fortune that we did. Our princess, Paris, had some almost debilitating autoimmune problems that meant we had to limit her exposure to other animals and the potential risks associated with pet hangouts. Believe it or not she loved to swim (Boxers aren’t known for their love of water). She really enjoyed romping and frolicking in the water at Chatfield, but it became apparent that we were risking her health by taking her there, so we wound up at CRCG.
The facilities were just what we needed – a clean pool, sans other dogs, where she could swim to exhaustion. And swim she did! Being able to schedule private appointments for pool time was the perfect setup for our family. She would shiver with anticipation as we neared the location and she began recognizing landmarks. I’m sure it was one of her favorite things in life and one of her favorite car rides.
The staff are so nice and they were always accommodating. They were at once helpful and respectful of our desire to spend our time with our pet. Of course, it’s a bonus that we could visit year round, even when Colorado is frozen!
Paris is gone now, but we will always have wonderful memories of her and some of the best were at CRCG’s pool.

I have been taking my 9-​year old Boxer to CRCG for nearly 3 years. After he blew out his ACL due to hip dysplasia, at my vet’s request, I started hydrotherapy treadmill sessions at CRCG. The improvement I saw in my dog is absolutely incredible. First off, he voluntarily swims every chance he gets, which is very unusual for a Boxer. Second, his ACL recovery went as smoothly as could possibly go. I began acupuncture for pain management with Dr. Shelley Brown. Unbelievable! After the 2nd therapy, my dog RACED into the acupuncture room on our next visit. Dr. Brown told me he’s an «endorphin junkie»! I have noticed an amazing improvement in my dog’s stiffness, pain, and daily activity. I HIGHLY recommend CRCG. You will not be disappointed, and your furry child deserves it!

The staff here is amazing.
I was on the schedule to take a dog in for an Evaluation for PT and Acupuncture. He was suffering from severe bilateral elbow dysplasia. Our appointment was scheduled to take a ½ hour. The therapist in fact took a little over an hour with us giving us more suggestions on things we could work on at home. I was blown away by the patience and understanding we were shown. In fact there were a few questions I asked she didn’t know and wanted to research a little better. She sent me a personal email a few days later with the answers.
That my friends is customer service !
They also offer recreational indoor swim for dogs ! This is a must here in Colorado with our unpredictable winter weather. We take our dogs often. After an hour of swimming and playing they don’t move for the rest of the day !
TIP: Dress in layers when coming here. It is a true indoor pool so it can get hot and muggy fast ! Also don’t wear anything you don’t want wet ! You may possibly leave just as wet and your dog without ever setting foot in the water !

Longmont, CO
Kudos to CRCG in Longmont, CO! Dr. Antke and her staff most likely saved us from expensive TPLO surgery for our dog Kodiak, who had a partial tear of his CCL in his left knee. Through a therapy program designed by Dr. Antke, Kodiak is back to his normal self running over 5 miles a day with no indication of instability or lameness in his knee. We will use them again if necessary, and intend to take the dogs to the pool in Broomfield soon!
