Dr. Christopher Shank, a Centennial native, was raised in the Cherry Park neighborhood, and attended Cherry Creek High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Minor in anatomy and neurobiology from Colorado State University. Dr. Shank then headed east to pursue his career and attended the University of Connecticut Doctor of Medical Dentistry program. He was awarded the prestigious Fox Award by the dental school faculty as the student who demonstrated the highest clinical, professional and leadership skills. He graduated with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) in 2004 with distinction.

Dr. Shank pursued a surgical dental residency at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. During his residency, he provided treatment to underserved patients, managed dental care of hospital inpatients and gained experience in the emergency treatment and reconstruction in oral and facial trauma.
