As much of a good deal I got on a groupon, it has been a hassle just to go in there to get the remainder of my shots and my groupon said that phentermine will cost $ 49 I was told today two different prices. It was a good deal for 10 shots but I’ll pass next time

So far so good!
I bought a groupon to find out about their services inexpensively. I made my appointment with no problems. Sarah answered the phone, was helpful and, despite my MANY questions, never made me feel rushed.
The office is a bit tough to find. It is in the one-​level office buildings on the south side of the street that are accessed at the east end of the street. GPS made it a little difficult.
I met with a weight loss councilor who discussed hcg options, explaining the details of the process and the benefits. I said I would rather give the Phentermine and B12 shots a chance for a month to see how that works. She didn’t push a hard sell at all and I felt like she was just being informative.
The registered nurse offered to give me my B12 shot. I thought I should try to see if I could handle it myself. It is a little tough watching that needle enter your skin, but it really does NOT hurt… you feel a tiny pinch and that is really it! (maybe I have a high threshold for pain since I raised a teenager!)
So far, it has been five days and I have lost five pounds. I am being good by eating lots of veggies, lean meat, no sweets, and low carb. Last night, I had a sugar craving, so warmed almond milk with unsweetened cocoa powder and Stevia. It was a sufficient fix to keep me on track.

I bought the groupon and was able to get in for a 630 appointment on a Wednesday pretty quickly. I got there early and the woman that saw me was informative. She knew I would be doing a different weight loss program when I got back home to California (in denver on business for two months). She gave me my first 5 syringes of b12 and a bottle of phentermine. She even said she had no problem overnighting the prescription refills for me once I got back to California! Awesome! I made a follow up appointment for two weeks later for a Wednesday at 6 but said that probably wouldn’t work as I wouldn’t be able to get off work early. They said that was fine and I could call closer to that time to move it.
So I called and had to cancel. They said the woman who was handling my file didn’t stay past 6. Funny since my first appointment was at 630… I left two messages with their «call answering service» they have after they close (ridiculous hours! How do people with real jobs see you?!) and another two with the front desk. The day I cancelled, I actually told the woman at the front desk I wouldn’t get off work until 6 and she said it wouldn’t be a problem and the woman I had my appointment with would call me after 6pm to do the follow up over the phone. She never called. In fact, I am back in California, three weeks later, with only 5 of my 10 b12 shots and no refills of phentermine. Avoid this place at all costs. They were a complete rip off and I achieved the opposite of results.

this business is a bid scam they should be turned into IRS! They have you pay cash and then say oh claim on insurance but will not give you tax ID # even my insurance company call them and they will not give it out.

First, I want to state that I DID in fact lose weight. I lost about 12lbs in 10 weeks with no exercise. I will not say that the program does not work, my complaint is with regard to 1) Price, 2) Customer Service, 3) Difficulty of Program, 4) Results.
1) Price: Thrive is WAY more expensive than other clinics that offer HCG programs. During my phone consultation the representative was very nice, very informative, and gave me a lot of «rehearsed» statements. I have nothing against «rehearsed» statements generally, but that’s what it was. Rehearsed statement regarding why the Thrive program is so much better than the rest. I was sold. I was told on the phone the program would be about $ 1200 total for the 10 weeks. When I got to the clinic for my scheduled appointment, I had to wait about 20 min before being seen. Then I was given the hard sell again as to why this program is better than the cheaper HCG ones out there. I thought it would be worth it because I thought I would get a «guided program» where a nutritionist and doctor will keep tabs on me and work with me throughout the program. A contract was drafted and it came out to about $ 1500 total instead of the $ 1200 as I was told over the Phone. This fact was the first concern I had BUT… I was sold by the pitch and I signed the contract.
2) Customer Service: This is NOT a «guided program.» One my first visit they weighed me, took my picture, took some readings regarding water weight/​metabolism, gave me a kit with the syringes & HCG liquid & B12 liquid, gave me one injection of each by a doctor, gave me a paper booklet full of recipes, and sent me on my way. I did not hear from them again until I needed a refill. When I scheduled an appointment to pick up my refill I waited, again, for about 20 min, just to pick up what I expected to be waiting for me. They took my picture and sent me on my way. They didn’t even weight me or take any measurements. Nothing.
During the entire 10 week program I was NEVER called and asked about my progress and I was never weighed or measured except during the initial consultation. During the few appointments that I had, I always had to wait even though they were clearly not busy. The receptionist was not very friendly, Im not going to say she was rude, but she was certainly not friendly or inviting.
The customer service that I received was certainly subpar and just left me with an additional bad experience.
3) Difficultly of Program: This program is not easy and don’t be fooled by the pitch they give you over the phone, just to get you in the front door, they want you to cut all Carb including most vegetables, cut all fats, and eat very small portions to result in around a 500 calorie diet. This would typically not be a surprise to me for an HCG diet as that is common. However, I was told over the phone that Thrive HCG is different, that they wasn’t people to be able to still eat a healthy amount and still lose the same amount of weight because of the «propriety blend» or something. Basically, I was told this would NOT be a typical HCG diet but it turned out to be just that. You have to basically starve yourself for it to work properly. The program difficulty was drastically misrepresented to me and that is the ultimate complaint with regard to difficulty.
4) Results: As I said before, I DID lose about 12 lbs. I will admit that I did not stick to a 500 calorie diet. I did have a weekend or two where I actually ate a normal meal. I want to note that I have never been a big eater, so the assumption may be that I ate an entire pizza or something. But that is just not the case. I did have weekends where I had a couple beers and ate a burger and fries. But this was RARE. Maybe 10 out of the 70 days did I «cheat» and even then not with an entire cake or something. I did cut nearly ALL carbs from my diet including veggies and followed vast majority of the requirements probably eating around 800 to 1000 calories a day. I cannot say with any certainty that it was the HCG that helped me lose the weight, the diet, or a combination of both. Clearly, I did not follow the program to a T and I did NOT lose 2lbs a day. But I did lose weight and I am happy with that fact alone. However, I have gone on «No Carb» diets before and I always lose weight on them, thus, it seems to me that the diet alone is why I lost the weight.
So this is my experience and it may be different than others but I needed to share because I feel I was misled. I do not recommend this place because I feel you can get the exact same thing for a lot less elsewhere and hopefully other places with be more transparent with what they are actually providing. For me the cost just doesn’t balance with the results and service.

This place is a scam. They sell you the Groupon and then refuse to give you what you purchased because they want to force you (and they are a viciously hard sell organization) to purchase something that is much more expensive. I turned them into the State Attorney General.

I have been going to Thrive for a few years now. Two years ago they helped me lose almost 50lbs and I have not gained it back. I am currently doing the LipoLean and I love it. The energy from the LipoLean is amazing! I would recommend them to everyone.

Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone. I got sold into the idea by a coupon but every time I called, it took a minimum 20 minutes to reach a human who then puts you on hold for another 20 – 60 minutes.
In person, the staff are great sales people. They gave me a fabulous spiel about some other program I wasn’t interested in that cost 5 times more and no real information about the package I did buy.
Happy to waste my money elsewhere.
