Welcome to Cupboard Maker Books. We are located in Enola, PA on Routes 11 & 15 North. Our book store is filled with an inventory of used, rare, and out of print hardback & paperback books that cover over 6,500 square feet. With over 100,000 titles in stock in over 30 categories, we have something for everyone. Cupboard Maker Books opened its doors over 15 years ago in Enola, PA as a custom-​built, painted furniture and gift store with one shelf of books. By 2000, we began our on-​line inventory. In April 2002, The Cupboard Maker became Cupboard Maker Books when the store moved 3 blocks south of its old location. Then in November 2003, we moved again to our current location which is on Routes 11⁄15 instead of one building behind it. The owners are Jason Haring and Michelle Mioff-​Haring.

Best bookstore ever, absolutely because of the people.
Owner Michelle loves books with a passion and can help you find something perfect for you, and not just the books in her preferred genres — she has an incredible breadth of knowledge and explains writing styles and plotlines very accessibly. Also, her staff shares her love of books and enjoys working at Cupboard Maker, which makes it a great environment to pop in and browse.
Adding to the ambiance of the shop is the 250+ feet of overhead catwalk. Not for models, for actual cats! Cupboard Maker has placed dozens of cats that they foster thru Castaway Critters.
Finally, there are at least 5 active book clubs and it’s great to discuss books and make friends at the same time.

Slightly pricy, but I’m comparing that to thrift stores that sell paperbacks for $.80. However, if you were to order on amazon you’d probably be paying the same price after shipping; about $ 3 – 8 depending on the book. They have a TON of books and are very well organize. The place does smell a bit of cats, but it was not totally unbearable. The cats were adorable, but if you have allergies, maybe take a Claritin before you go. This place is definitely worth stopping by!

My wife stop at the book store today. It’s a Diamond In the rough we like the huge selection of used books, you will always find something to buy. Now the problem, all the cats I like cats but not when I’m shopping the smell and sometimes the noise. Sorry but we will not come back!

My favorite bookstore! A superb selection of used books. From current paperbacks to antique historical texts this place has it all. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always has suggestions for your next read. The book clubs offered are eclectic and fun as well. And there are cozy cats to meet and greet (or even adopt). Whenever I’m on the west shore this is my go-​to place to stop.

I love the idea of this place. Lots of books. Well organized. Decent prices. Small business. Nice people. We even picked up our Spiral Path CSA deliveries at this bookstore.
Here’s my gripe. They have cats. Several of them. I’m allergic to cats. I used to go there pretty frequently and it never bothered me. However over the last few months the cat smell has become overwhelming. You get that litter box smell as you come through the doors. It never bothered me before, but now it’s like there’s «cat» everywhere. The last few books I purchased even retained that smell. The place is starting to reek. I used to go in there and shop for an hour w/​out any trouble. Now I’m wheezing in about 5 minutes and have to leave.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have any problem with cats and to each their own. I’m just disappointed I no longer will be able to go there, peruse for a while, and walk out with a bag of books.

Cupboard Maker Books is a small non-​descript building in Enola. If you’ve ever been on Rt 15 you’ve driven past it. Great selection of gently used books. Wide range of topics– children’s, photography, mystery, adventure, sci-​fi, etc. Most of the books I looked at ran from 3 — 7 bucks and were in good or great shape. If I remember correctly, you get a 10% discount if you are a student.
Amazing cat-​walk too if you stop in, they have a siamese and two other cats :-)

If you looking for «a good used book,» then this is the place for you in Enola.
Their wide selection is organized by topic and format (hardcover, paperback $ 3, trade paperback $ 4 – 6, etc.). The are some rare and/​or antiquarian books for those interested. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the store is clean and neat (for a used book store).
Please consider that if you a looking for a particular book by a particular author, then you may be disappointed. But, If you’re looking for a book of a specific genre or any book by a particular author, then you are likely to rewarded.
Fair disclosure: The parking lot is a bit rugged.
All-​in-​all, Cupboard Maker Books is a must stop when I’m in the area!
