History

Established in 1980.

Jim was laid off at Mack Trucks where he worked as a diesel engine re-builder. Jim’s ambition and knowledge of auto and truck engines, plus employment status, gave way to the young Jim opening his own business. His original business started out on the Carlisle Pike with his Phillips 66 station. It then became Citgo. In 1990, Jim purchased the land and salvage business on Wertz Lane in Enola. He then transferred his inspection license and expanded the garage.

Jim’s daughter Katy has been a Ford and Audi certified mechanic. She also has manufacturing experience working to build motorcycles at the Harley-Davidson plant in York, PA.

June Kreitzer, Jim’s mother, worked for Jim and the company from almost the beginning to the very end of her life. She loved picking up parts, sweeping the floors, making bills, taking appointments, and handled all of the accounting for the company. She looked forward to seeing our customers and treated them like family. She passed away on June 7, 2015.

Meet the Business Owner

Jim K.

Business Owner

Jim has always been in the hands-on field of mechanics and has vast knowledge of anything and almost everything mechanical. He has worked at Mack trucks as a diesel engine re-builder. He repaired lawn mowers in his youth. He worked as a Volkswagen mechanic in a local dealership. He likes to give back to the community and has been involved in such programs like MDA Lockup for muscular dystrophy, raising wheelchair dogs for Susquehanna Service Dogs, and helping out with low cost spaying and neutering for cats through SNAP of PA. Jim is also a Freemason, member of the Rotary, American Legion, and moose lodge in the central PA area. The morals and practices that these groups abide by are the things that Jim likes to have in his business as well.
