History

Established in 2000.

Southern Hearing Associates has been co-​located with Dr. J. Michael McQueen in Enterprise since 1÷1÷2000 and eventually expanded to Troy, co-​located with Dr. Wilton McRae at Troy ENT, Opp, Andalusia and Eufaula. On 1÷1÷2010 we purchased Dothan Hearing Aid Center, incorporating them into the Southern Hearing family. Dothan Hearing Aid Center first opened in 1964 and was the first hearing aid center in the Dothan area.

In November 2013, Southern Hearing Associates joined the Miracle Ear network to bring together the most trusted name in the hearing aid industry with the local service and professionalism you expect.

Southern Hearing Associates is owned by Tim Toomey, Jason White and Ron White. All are local residents with close ties to the community. Tim and Ron are retired military with 43 years of combined service and both had tours at Fort Rucker. Tim and Ron are also both graduates of Troy University. Jason graduated from Auburn University in 2006.
