Decided to put a new roof on my 15 year old house last summer. Not because it needed it (yet) but figured the existing Comp. roofing material that was on there is nearing it’s end, and wanted to install a metal roof that would last.
Got several bids but decided to go with Rainier View because they did my Brothers house and he was happy with them to install a new Metal Shingle roof.
Not being in a hurry, we set a date to start the installation that was a month or so out. About a week before the set start date the material and crew showed up to start (which wasn’t ideal but OK).
The workmanship wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t great either. They were supposed to install a fully vented roof cap, and the install was being done over the existing roof so they needed to cut through the peak prior to installing to allow proper ventilation. After a couple days when they finished the back portion of my roof, I went into my attic to see how they did with the cut on the peak. They barely cut any of the peak out, so the vented roof cap was basically doing nothing.
Since the workers were still there, I asked them about it and they told me they did cut the peak (which was a lie since they didn’t realize I could see it in my attic). I asked them to come up to my attic with me to look. The worker told me it was good enough. I told them I didn’t feel «Good Enough» was what I was paying for. They told me they would come into my attic later and cut the remaining peak from the inside.
They never did. I even contacted the Sales Manager/​Owner (Don), and finally after several attempts and no responses I was able to get him to come out to take a look, which he too told me it was basically ‘Good Enough’.
Overall the roof does look good, and hopefully it will last as long as it should. Since the workers cut corners with the Peak, I’m concerned they cut corners in other areas that I don’t have visibility into, but only time will tell. There was some other issues and after a lot of pestering on my side I was finally able to get addressed. It’s not my style to bash anyone but I do believe it’s important to share my experience. And in this case I had high expectations and was disappointed.

Wow this business amazes me how it’s still in business. Had them come out for an estimate. The saleman tried selling me more than I really wanted then never sends the estimate. They followed up with a call which I told thier receptionist that I never recieved the estimate she said she would get it sent over 2^nd blow off. Then I received a email from the owner after my complaint she says she will get that estimate sent right over blown off a 3^rd time. If they can’t even do a estimate right why would I ever let this company touch my house. Business ethics training hmmm?. Shitty business=No business. What a waste of my time.

A working relationship with. I will wish you al the luck on your proposed project, at this point I’m not interested in doing business with anyone that is so adversarial from jump street.

Think before you use this company. If this is how they treat potential customers think about how they would treat you if you had a problem.

After having our roof for a few years, it leaks EVERY time there is a big rain!!! Every single time!!! 2 vents and skylight… Bad flashing & bad vents were knowingly installed… At what point do you finally just admit you have done a terrible job on our roof and replace all the flashing and vents so our drywall and insulation stop getting ruined??? They just do patch work… Won’t fix the problem as a whole, and when you call to have them fix the problem, it’s an inconvenience to them. They don’t consider its a huge inconvenience to you as well. The best part was the lead contractor admitted «This was going on» when our roof was installed. They were KNOWINGLY doing shoddy work!!! We did not pay $ 13K for a crap job! Please do your research when it comes to roofing companies. We were pressured by their sales team and should have taken that as an indicator to walk away. They have yet to call us back because they promised to «take care of us» after the last bad leak. Our bathroom ceiling looks terrible now due to water damage. DO NOT use this company! Yes they have flashy commercials, but don’t be fooled!!!
2÷13÷16: PLEASE NOTE: They NEVER called to ask the outcome, or if I even like what they accomplished to the inside of my house. At best it was mediocre. Yes, every company makes mistakes, but they DO NOT follow up! THEY ASSUME that because I didn’t call them to complain again, it must be perfect! They sent someone to do the job, that person (who they hired from outside their company) attempted to make my bathroom look nice again. While there is no longer water damage, I have paint drips all over my wall. No, it’s not worth complaining about yet again, because dealing with Tracy who more or less said I deserved the crap job they did (on my roof) because we did not purchase the most expensive roof they offer! I absolutely never want to deal with her terrible excuse for customer service again. However, when/​if my roof leaks AGAIN, I will be forced to.
I still WOULD NOT recommend this company because of the extremely rude comments made to me by Tracy over the phone. I am upset over the amount of money I paid vs. what I got. I am allowed to openly discuss my experience, especially when everything I have said has been true.

Referred by Home Services website, the return call was quick. The caller announced his name and launched a verbose string of sales promises, halfway he managed to identify the company he worked for.
Take a breath now and then!
He stated that their «only requirement» was that we «both» are present for the hour ½+ presentation.

Well I am a woman, and nowhere did i say the word spouse, but he insisted. I informed him that they were «off the table» and that means the conversation is over. No pressure or sales pitch will convince. When the conversation is over, I hang up.
If you dont do business with women you need to stay home. As a woman owned business perhaps the sales pitch needs a major rewrite.
I am the person of contact and I am the decision maker. I made the decision to take my business elsewhere.

Had them come out for a bid on some siding. They were double the price of everyone else, and the sales person was extremely rude and condescending. To me it feels like a company that is more about selling their name then an actual product.

First of all, I’d give the quality of workmanship a 4.5 and the onsite workers a 5. (4.5 because I’m not familiar with how a roof is installed and at the time of this writing, we’re in a drought. but the roof looks fantastic.) That being said, I did feel there was a lot of miscommunication with scheduling and the actual promised results of our roof and gutter installation. The salesman suggested we have our gutters installed a certain way but upon completion, it was done completely different. The foreman informed me «It’d take a lot of work to redo the gutters…» (The way it was promised.) I talked it over with my wife and suggested we leave that alone, only in case it would violate our HOA rules.
Other than that, any smaller issues we had were dealt with and corrected. The roof install was done in one day, with the workers working late to get it done. Cleanup was done/​no stray roofing nails in the driveway (I guess they used a large magnet or something similar.)
About 2 weeks later, the final part was completed — this was due to custom-​ordered parts. This was for metal roofing for our back porch — the salesman suggested metal over composite as the pitch of the roof was not steep enough. There were water marks on the plywood to prove this. The crew arrived and the installation was done in a few hours. Both the composite and metal roofs look great.
This summer was pretty dry but we just returned from Vegas only to find Washington in a rain and wind storm. I’m happy to say there was absolutely no problem with our roof.

Unprofessional — I never received any kind of email before my roofing estimate (the person confirming my appointment asked for my email address to send something), the man doing the estimate was 45min late, I never received any notice of this. Estimate was 6k over other bids.

I’m a very sad grave shifter and recent widow. I was told when I signed the contract the roofing, gutters and siding would get done in a weeks time. That Rainier roofing and construction would work with my grave shift hours and notify me when they would show. I took vacation time off so I could work with their hours so I wouldn’t be sleeping during construction.
To start out the roofing crew showed up unannounced on a Thursday morning just when I got home after working all night. They wanted to tear off my old roofing I told them I was too exhausted and needed to be notified when they were going to show up. That was placed in my contract with the company! So the following Monday on my day off they did the tear down of my old roofing. It took a good 2 weeks for my metal roofing order to show up. I had no roof and they were going to tear it off even sooner! I’m glad I turned them away that Thursday!
And the siding guy Jerry said he was going to show up to measure my house for siding and never did show up! Nor call me, I stayed awake as long as I could then had my daughter wait for him. We have dogs who will let you know if somebody’s there. He acted like he talked to me a couple of weeks later when he did finally show up. My siding order was late because of the weather in the east, I was told by Jerry. My siding was finally torn off early March contract was signed January the 22^nd. Then I had to go 3 weeks with no siding because the order didn’t come in. They installed the siding the last week of March. I told them at the beginning I wanted what all my neighbors had the siding covering all the house. After waiting for a long time and burning all my vacation time for no reason! I was told my house is a manufactured house and Jerry told my they weren’t completing it because it’s a mobile home and it has to be able to roll out some where if needed! My house is a manufactured FHA permanent pit set and tie down! All my neighbors have complete siding down even on actual mobile homes! There was siding left from my order in my driveway, I was told I would be left some according to Jerry for repairs ect.. A young man came by for after the job for clean up and because the siding was a special order and there wasn’t a lot left over I could keep it.
I had to bring up a hole that was under the back under the facia I was told by Don that that was for the siding crew to repair. Jerry said he wasn’t told to repair it, and was more than willing to leave the ugly hole as is! But the young man repaired it after calling Jerry and found out it was so posed of been done. Then when cleanup and the repair was done I paid for the siding the young man was very rude and not as nice as he was before calling Jerry. He pointed to 3 strips of siding he placed in my front yard and rudely stated «that’s what Jerry said to leave you!»
I was going to have the rest of the siding completed by somebody else!
Because Jerry wanted it for himself I didn’t get to keep it! They took it !!
I waited a long time, used vacation time and lost a lot of sleep because the order took so long to come in. I don’t know where my manufactured house after 20 years was so posed to go? I just knew Jerry didn’t want to finish the bottom section of my house. But looked to be enough siding left after their job so I could have someday else finish my siding!
I didn’t get a discount for waiting with no siding and roofing for weeks, I thought at least let me keep the left over siding from my order! I’m a recent widow and my husband left me a some life insurance to pay off bills and get the house fixed. I paid over 30 thousand dollars to look like a mobile instead of a house like my neighbors! Jerry even asked if the house across the street was a manufactured house. The company that did it did such a wonderful job! I wish I had them do my siding and roofing!
30 thousand is a huge amount for me! I don’t have much left. I was going to have my doors and windows done by Rainier roofing, I had a bad feeling and changed my mind. Glad I did!

the sales rep also left us unfortunately, wanted to leave early or something, more waltz into our home ect. Not a very pleasant experience.

We had our windows installed by Rainier View construction. It was a good experience and they helped us through the process step by step. Our installer was clean and professional and did an amazing job.
