If you do not request for the moving company to pack and prepare your items for you, here are a few helpful tips to follow:

*Packing books and other heavy objects in smaller boxes for easier lifting. And pack the large boxes with lightweight/bulky items.

*If you need to pack your clothes, you should always use wardrobe boxes so you can hang your garments.

*Try to always use the same size boxes for easy stacking on the moving truck.

*Make sure that you fill the boxes completely. By stuffing the open areas with packing paper, it prevents the boxes from collapsing when stacked. Try not to pack your fragile items to too tightly inside the box, this will prevent breakage as well.

*And always seal the boxes completely with packing tape to prevent anything from getting in or out. Tape both the bottom and the top of the boxes, so all open spaces are covered.

*You can mark your boxes with what is inside and what room it is going to make the move quicker and easier for both yourself and
