History

Established in 1992.

Wild Wings Pizza & Things opened and began delivering to the Ephrata area in 1992. It was named in the top 100 independent pizzeria shops in the U.S. in the years 2000, and 2001 by Pizza Today Magazine. It is an honor that reflects the success of the popular pizza and wing establishment.

Tim Hegeman, the previous owner of Wild Wings Pizza & Things was responsible for opening the very first professional pizza delivery service in Ephrata. At the time, the facility was called Four Star Pizza, and was just one of five franchised Four Star locations owned by Hegeman. Tim was named «Franchisee of the Year» in 1988 and 1989.

In 2013, Tim Hegeman retired and sold the business to long time employee Adam Conahan. Adam has been employed with Wild Wings Pizza & Things since 2000.

Adam graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Kutztown University in 2008. Adam strongly admires for the previous accomplishments of Tim Hegeman and hopes to continue the long-​standing success that Tim has created. Adam aims to link Wild Wings Pizza & Things with the surrounding communities. Schools, churches, and local social services are valued to Adam, who has been a long time resident of the Ephrata area. Adam works hard for the continued success of Wild Wings Pizza & Things so that the business can continue working with and fundraising for so many incredible community organizations organizations.

Can’t believe how the price has gone up and the quality has gone down. So upset that you wait forever for your wings to be delivered and they’re raw, cold and so small my 4 year old grandson can eat 10 with no problem and he’s just a little guy.
I have been getting wings from here for over 14 years and will never order anything again.

See the picture I posted of their raw chicken wings left outside after delivery. They were there at least a half hour when pic taken. This is a common practice at this place regardless of outside temps. They open the boxes outside and dump the wings into grey tubs before taking them into the kitchen. Eat here at your own risk!!!

Their muffalottas are awesome — love the bread! Wings are good too, especially the golden garlic and western! The western is a nice twist on BBQ.

So this place in my opinion has the best wing sauce in town. I only get the MILD which here actually means mild. I’ve gone other places and I physically can’t eat the mild because it’s to hot. That has never happened to me here. These guys make the sauce perfect. Now mind you there’s more to a wing than the actual sauce. I agree with a previous review that said the wings are small. They are more on the delicate side. If wild wings would get larger wings and put their amazing sauce on it, it would be a win win. Price for 30 wings is $ 15 +tax. About 50 cents a wing.
Another note I would like to make is their $ 3 pizza. So I figured I’d try this pizza out. Worst case scenario i would be out three bucks. This pizza is good. I’d rather buy the 3 dollar pizza from here than go to Pizza Hut for their 5 dollar pan pizza. As far as I’m aware $ 3 pizza is available only on Mondays. Not a bad way to kick of the week.
Overall I will keep going here. Have done delivery without problems. Maybe will try out other items on menu in the future.

My husband and I have ordered many times from here as is the only place that delivers. There wings are small, taste good going down but after a while makes me very sick to my stomach. 9⁄10 food arrives cold and today I got a meatball sandwich and a few hours later am vomiting and sick as a dog! Which is what prompted me to write this. We spent $ 40 for cold food that made me sick!

Caution: the wings are small and overlooked. I’m talking really really small, like the wings were procured from quails, not chickens. No meat, all bones and really overlooked. They are also overpriced. $ 21.50 for 30 wings. I’ll never order there again.

Pizza was small, cold, and very comparable to a frozen pizza. Wings were just okay. Nothing special. French fries were cold and soggy. Definitely worst pizza I have gotten from anywhere in a long time.

Their wings are the BEST! Everything else is mediocre. Pizza is doughy & the sandwiches are just odd, their cheesesteak is sliced roast beef. The Stromboli is pretty good though & are one of the only places around that delivers, so that bumps them up a notch!

I ordered a large pie with peppers and onions to be delivered. I was told it would be around 30 minutes. An hour later I received a large pie with pepperoni. I told the driver it wasn’t what what I ordered, he called his manager, who said it was definitely what I ordered. I’m a vegetarian, so I’m pretty sure I didn’t order a pepperoni pizza. The driver left and returned 30 minutes with the correct pizza. Even without the mistake, the pizza was mediocre at best. Chris’s New York Pizza in Ephrata is the ONLY place in the area that makes a really good, Jersey Shore quality pizza.
