I have been going into W Phila for my haircuts for six years. I wanted to find someone local. Unfortunately, Moxie was more expensive. Danielle took about five minutes to cut my hair and all the while she was involved in conversation with someone else. I got a really bad hair cut. Won’t go there again.

As soon as I heard that a salon called Moxie had opened near me, I knew I had to check it out. I was able to score an appointment relatively quickly and knew exactly what I wanted — just a touch up and trim, so I figured it wasn’t going to be a dramatic visit. Danielle was really nice but I felt like she was distracted during the appointment, and sadly, the end result was a headful of stripy highlights instead of the subtle, sunkissed look I was going for. After a revise, I still wasn’t thrilled but she suggested I call after a few days if I still wasn’t happy. And guess what? I wasn’t…so Danielle had me come back for another tweak and I left feeling a little better but bummed out that my visit to Moxie didn’t end in a love connection. I really appreciated the good customer service, though, so perhaps those of you who want a simple single process or trim would have better luck.
