History
Established in 1996.
Veterinary Urgent Care, Inc was founded in July of 1996 to provide the best emergency veterinary medical and surgical services for companion animals in inland north San Diego County. The clinic is owned, managed, and operated by Dr. Karen Seibold, DVM, Diplomat ACVECC, her husband Christopher Read, The practice was relocated into a state of the art facility in April 2003.
AUCSG is centrally located in the heart of inland North County at 2430A S. Escondido Blvd. in Escondido, CA. We are one exit north of North County Fair at the junction of Centre City Parkway and Citracado Parkway. Our location is quickly accessible via I-15 and the 78 freeways for the communities of Escondido, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos, Poway, as well as from the east thoroughfares from Valley Center and Ramona.

Business Owner
A California native, Dr. Seibold graduated from the Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California, and then moved to Colorado for her undergraduate and graduate training. She received a BA from the University of Denver in 1979. She aquired her Animal Health Technical Degree from the Bel Rea Institute in 1981. She attended Colorado State University for her veterinary training and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1986. After a year in general practice, Dr. Seibold chose to pursue the specialty of emergency and critical care. In 1998 she became a Diplomatee of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. Dr. Seibold has been a specialty practice owner since 1996, and has special interest in rattlesnake envenomations, pediatric emergencies, acupuncture, and trauma.
