I made sure I bought what the salesgirl said were 14k earrings when piercing my daughter’s ears. There is no way the quality of gold or concentration of gold is 14k. We’ve cleaned them as recommended and both lobes are infected and have been bleeding for two months. I finally gave up and took the earrings out. It’s been a traumatic experience for my child. I don’t trust this place or the quality of the earrings sold here.

I got my cartilage pierced here a couple months ago with my friend. I was bit nervous because they used the gun to pierce ears. Ive heard that if you pierce your cartilage with a gun, it can shatter it. The lady who pierced me and my friends ear was very informative which calmed me down. After she pierced our ear, she told us how to clean it and how long we would need to keep the piercing in. Tbh, all it felt like was a small pinch. The next couple days, I thought it got infected because it got really swollen but then a week passed by and it was all good. I would definitely go back to get my ears pierced again.

My daughter got her ears pierced here today. They were excellent. The lady who did the piercing was patient as they choose the right earrings and she made the whole experience a very nice one. My daughter said it didn’t hurt at all.

I was interested in getting my 2 month old daughters ears pierced, but I was on the fence about it. It been about 25 years since mine were done, so I wanted to see what she would go through. So I went for a second piercing on my ear lobes, nothing crazy. The lady who did the piercings for me was very sweet and helpful(she’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars) The piercing process was relatively painless, but I still wasn’t sure if I wanted to get my daughters done. She went over all of the care tips with me and made sure I knew how to clean my new piercings before I left. I was given a cleaning solution to care for my ears and I went on my way. Let me just say that it has taken FOREVER for my piercings to heal. It’s been over 4 months and they still are a bit tender and bleed when I clean them. I cleaned them the way I was told, 3 times a day everyday for 6 weeks. I’ve contemplated several times just taking them out. I think it’s something in the jewelry they use. I don’t have sensitive ears like a lot of people, I wear cheap jewelry all the time. But their«high quality» jewelry irritated my ears, I got some different earrings and I don’t have any problems. Bottom line is I wouldn’t recommend getting any sort of ear piercing done here. Go to a piercing professional who doesn’t also sling cheap children’s jewelry. Nothing about getting your ears pierced in the mall is sanitary. They don’t properly wash their hands, a few pumps of a Clorox hand cleaning solution is how they sanitize. The piercing gun method seems a bit barbaric and isn’t even how a proper piercing should be done, not only that but it takes longer to heal than a piercing done by needle. I should have seen the red flags when I walked in. I feel horrible for even considering getting my daughters ears pierced here. We bypassed getting her ears done all together!

I confess, I never shop at Claire’s. I feel embarrassed to feel like the mother of everybody there, however taking from the hands of innocent little girls some accessories yelling ‘is mine, mine and I saw it first”. That would be too much, so when I go, I just pretend I am shopping for my niece who is several countries away from me… But I also have to confess that I have an addiction for getting anything ‘tower Eiffel’ related, so while waiting to get a spot at the newly opened Cheesecake Factory, I went to see how many Eiffelettes I could score. And gome some cute charm-bracelets for $ 9.50 with the most unbelieveably cute Parisian theme useless adorabilia, as now I like to call all these little pleasures that serve to nothing. Claire’s is a nice shop(for young girls mostly) but hey, if you don’t like to spend money in frames(glasses) in expensive real optic stores and you like color and whimsical, nothing can beat these $ 6 glasses here! They are supposed to be for teems, but I tried some and looked good on me(sorry to say). Is a pity that they did not have my red color, otherwise I would have gotten several pairs. You can always go to the real optical store or Costco with your prescription and put the real lenses on them!(useful adorabilia in this case:).

I hit up Claire’s on Friday for some important costume components… tiara, sash, etc. They had what I needed although I might have tried the sash on before I bought it. It was six year old girl sized, but hey, I’m easy… I made it work. The thing I love about Claire’s is they have almost every accessory you could want and if they don’t, they at least have something close. Plus, it’s so SPARKLY there! The prices are mostly reasonable. Some might be a little more than I’m willing to pay for costume jewelry, but they usually have a lot of clearance and the regular priced items are usually fairly priced. The staff in this store is friendly and helpful.

This is my first visit to a Claire’s in YEARS. I usually get my fun, junk jewelry at Macy’s or H&M. I was looking for a hair piece for an upcoming wedding I’m in. Walked in and I was surprised to find so many options. I was specifically looking for a silver piece and was deciding between a headband or a flower clip. Unfortunately, most looked cheesy and cheap(glitter was coming off), but what do you expect when you’re in a hurry and shopping last minute? Most pieces were less than $ 10, and they usually have sales. I deferred my decision so that I can bring my shoes on my next visit.
