Jaye at Classy Closets did an amazing job helping to transform my clients closets from cluttered to classy, beautiful and organized. Very professional, reliable and friendly. Will definitely recommend again to my organizing clients!

We just remodeled our bathroom and closet. Our goal was to make the closet space as efficient as possible. Classy Closets did an exceptional job for us. Price was good and the end result is stunning. The materials and construction quality is top notch. The sales rep Kate was very organized and full of great ideas… a true professional. The construction crew was there when they said they would be and completed the job in exactly the amount of time they said it would take. We will be back again for any future closet needs. Classy Closets is the best closet company in San Diego in my opinion and we have worked with others in the past!

I recently had my master closet remodeled by Classy Closets. I am very pleased with the results. It is better than I expected. Kate worked with me to design the closet that I almost wanted. She pointed out how some of my ideas could be done a little differently and better.
I had several estimates and learned that it is best to go with someone who knows closets.
I had some reservations because their estimate was among the lowest but any doubts were put to rest when I saw the finished closet.
Everyone at Classy Closets was easy to work with and professional. I made the right choice.

We recently decided to build out our closets but had no idea who to use. After researching Unilocal and other online sources, we narrowed our choice of closet organizer companies down to four, including classy closets. Had reps from all four over to give us estimates and weigh in on the designs. We had 3 reach in closets and one walk in to remodel.
Being a former researcher, I can assure you our vetting process was very thorough. We ultimately chose Classy Closets. Our designer Kate was wonderful to work with. She had terrific ideas that really supplemented what my wife and I had in mind. The process from selection, design, build, and follow up was flawless. They exceeded our expectations in every way. One example was that the job was supposed to take two days and they finished in one.
Classy closets also worked with us on price and beat Closet World even after the Costco discount and gift card CW provides. They matched a special offer California Closets had going, which was any finish for the same price as white. Our experience from beginning to end simply could not have been better, and we’re very appreciate to Classy Closets for the excellent work and service. We could not recommend them and Kate more highly.

Its been 2 years since Classy Closets helped with our 3^rd project together. I have to say that if it hadn’t been for the conscientious crew on that project who addressed my questions and concerns and did something about it I probably would not have contacted this company again. We were doing a huge project in our garage with the cabinets, closets and counters being the last item to cross off the list. Tui pretty much did what she thought should be done and absolutely, positively did not listen to me. First when I saw the guys putting on 6″ legs on the cabinets (I’m 5’1″) i asked what those were for and was told something about raising everything above the «sump» to be sure that no water would get into the closets. We didn’t need that as our garage just doesn’t have that which the head of the crew agreed with and took action so see that shorter legs were delivered as soon as possible so the job could be done in one day. Obviously something Tui didn’t even pay attention to. Also I distinctly told Tui which closets were going to be the utility closet (vacuum, brooms, etc) and the one for my husband’s uniforms. Both closets came loaded with shelves and I had to make calls to get the rod for the clothing closet. So every time I look at that stack of shelves not needed I get a little annoyed. Sean is coming out next week to measure for our last and final project and I am looking forward to working with him. Will post again after that project is done.
I will say that the first project that we did Tui was absolutely fabulous. However the second one was questionable. Nothing like we thought was the plan so we just live with it.

I am just getting around to writing a review about this company. We first worked with them in our condo downtown about 4 years ago and they were great. We worked with Kate and she has a great vision. We most recently had them put in all of our closets in our house in Bay Park including a muphy bed which we also had in our condo. Kate’s suggestions were always great but is also open to the customers vision. Everything looks great, functions well and is very quick to install. We highly recommend them and have loved all of the work they did in our home.

We love the closet that was designed, built, and installed by Classy Closets. We worked with Sean, who was with us from beginning to end. Sean took measurements and was patient to listen to our vision for our closet space. He made helpful recommendations and really understood our requirements down to the detail level. Sean was also respectful to the flexibility we needed, as this was our first time designing a closet and couldn’t make up our minds in how we envisioned it. The isometric views (3D) of our ideas that helped to visualize the design and implemented changes promptly. Sean was also cognizant about cost and was quick to provide us with cost impact assessments to keep us within budget. I must say this was the best cost we can find from 2 other different closet companies. When it came to installation day, a one man army of Todd showed up and completed the entire installation in about 4 – 5 hours. Todd was energetic and respectful, focusing attention to leave no trace of a mess. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with Classy Closets. I never knew customer service and the resulting product itself in the closet industry was such a delightful experience.

Would love to give them more stars because we do like our closets but the customer service leaves too much to be desired. We’ve had a few issues post-​installation and cannot even get a response (after repeated follow ups) let alone a solution, which has left us beyond disappointed in the final product and process. Would look elsewhere next time.
UPDATE: Gary from Classy Closets reached out and personally a) apologized for the lack of customer service we had experienced and b) came out to repair the issue at-​hand himself and acknowledged that the lack of response was unacceptable and not their standard. His efforts were much appreciated and he clearly values customer input when he gets it — thank you, Gary!

Kate and her crew have done another top notch job on our closets! Years ago, in another home, Kate designed our closets and we were very pleased. There was no question who we were going to use this time.
We recently moved in and I had removed the existing built-​ins which were warped and not functional. I prefer removing the existing shelves /​bars myself. We had our painter patch the holes and paint before Kate came out to our home. This gave us an open wall to work with and, at least for us, made it easier to envision different layouts.
Kate is very knowledgeable and has a keen sense of design and functionality. She asked us what we would be storing in the closets and custom designed them to our needs. After receiving her digital plans with precise measurements (awesome to be able to see the finished product from different viewpoints), we made some tweaks which she quickly implemented.
We signed off on the plans and her team came out and did a flawless job installing the closets. Just as before, they were polite, clean, careful and did a flawless job.
Our closets are beautiful.
I always highly recommend Kate and her company to our friends and anyone who has closets that need updating.

OK. Update time. After leaving my initial review, I was contacted by a very apologetic owner and I agreed to hear her out. She asked to come by and let her give me another quote so I figured no harm and had her come by.
She arrived with a note and flowers, again apologizing for the experience I had with the other employee. She quickly went through and provided another quote with a much better deal. I decided to go ahead and give them my business.
Pros this time:
— Kate was very friendly and did a quick but thorough job when she came to estimate the job.
— The actual installation was really quick each time.
— The closets turned out great. One was a whole wall of mirrored closets. The other was a small, odd shaped closet in a guest room that she ended up putting cabinet-​like doors on. Both are super functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Cons this time:
— Her guys who knocked out the existing closet made a quarter size ding in my hard floor. They didn’t mention it when it happened and filled it in with some kind of crayon-​y thing that easily comes off. I didn’t notice until later and when I brought it up, it was brushed off and I was told I «have to live with it».
— Their contract says they will «touch up the holes left (during tear out) and spackle» but they did not do this for me. I had to pay someone to do that and paint the entire wall. Their contract does, however, state that they don’t provide whole-​wall painting. I do think they should have touched up the holes left from tear out before I payed someone to paint, though.
— The two closets were done on two different dates, weeks apart. It would have been much more convenient if they were done on the same day.

Contacted these people to come by and quote me for new doors and a closet cabinetry.
Kate (part owner) showed up about 20 minutes late. She was very friendly, and knew exactly what needed to give me the right closet according to what I already store in there.
She was suppose to email me a quote with two designs and start the work soon after.
After about two weeks I called them back wondering if they had the wrong email just in case.
Kate said she just didn’t have the chance to get back to me yet, but would by the end of the week. I called after that week, and Kate blew me off again saying she was going on vacation and would get back to me when she got back. I never heard from them since.
In short: Complete waste of my time.

Contacted Classy closets for custom closets two weeks ago and never heard back.

Kate and her crew are absolutely great. I reached out to about four companies, including Classy Closets (CC), when shopping for our custom closet and custom office (office being the more difficult project of the two). Kate responded quickly to my initial inquiry with digital mockups of her design /​proposal, and the others just seemed lazy with half done hand drawn mock ups, etc. I chose to go with CC and never looked back, and I am so happy that I did.
My office is absolutely beautiful and came out much better then I imagined when I started this process. Kate really came through. Furthermore, they were very flexible with scheduling, as we had a small hiccup (my fault) and they worked around it and finished the job in a timely manner.
I would HIGHLY suggest CC to anybody that is looking for any custom work in their new home or office. Thanks to Kate and her friendly crew.

I did some research prior to choosing Classy Closets. I made my decision based on Unilocal reviews and I am happy I did. Sean was quickly responsive to all of my questions and made sure we were happy with the design prior to placing the order. I was happy to have the chance to make design decisions and ultimately end up with exactly what I had envisioned. The price was beyond reasonable for company prices and even in comparison to free-​standing bookcases sold online.
I have to commend Hernando, the installer, for doing such a wonderful job on the installation. He worked alone and I am amazed that there is not a single defective detail in the construction. He laid out a canvas sheet on the wood floors to avoid any damage, he was organized, and cleaned up at the end. The bookcase came out perfect! Not much more I can add.

Classy Closets was excellent in fitting our needs of building out our laundry room. Kate was on time for first appt. and understood what we wanted. She made several suggestions which we listened to and had done. We are thrilled with the finished product! If we ever need anything else build in we will be calling Classy Closets.

I took quotes from a few different vendors, along with pricing out some online options like
and others. After my husband called in and talked to Sean, he quickly gave him some rough estimates before making the trip out so we both would know it was worth his time as he was comparing the prices to other estimates. The first pass was right in line with others, and just a small percentage more than what it would have been had I done it myself online.
When Sean came to see some of my odd closets he came up with some great ideas and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how things turned out. Plus, Sean was super cool and easy to work with. I should also mention Kate was great too as we talked when I visited the store to check out some of the materials. They are true professionals and will make sure things go as well as they can.

I too had a somewhat similar experience that Angela had below. I actually almost asked Tui to leave a few tines. It was the end of the day and I live in east county so I know what traffic can be like coming from Escondido. However as frustrated as I was getting with some of her questions I realized that there was a method to what she was asking however there were some condescending remarks that I didn’t think we’re something you should say in front of a customer and being that I’m a customer service rep I know what to do and what not to say however I let her continue and the drawing she came up with was exactly what I wanted that was within my budget. And the longer she was here the more comfortable I was feeling and she seemed to relax and was quite a bit nicer seagate me her bed as promised the next morning and was actually a very reasonable price and she even worked with me a little bit. closet was installed today the two guys did an awesome job and I’m very happy with my choice I would recommend them. honestly half of the reason I decided to go with class because it was because of the very positive Unilocal reviews
Just remembered– gary, the installed had parked next to a car, which is fine, however they were sawing some of the wood and the car was covered in sawdust. So that is somethign the installers should be a bit more cautious about that

I contacted Classy Closets based on their good Unilocal reviews. My husband and I were interested in a custom sliding door for our master bedroom. Prior to contacting Classy Closets, we contacted other companies. Tui came to our home to take measurements of our closet. From the moment she stepped into our home she was rude, disrespectful and very condescending. She was also 7 minutes late to our appointment. My husband and I are very nice people and we’ve had many contractors come to our home in the past and we have never been treated the way she treated us.
For instance, I told Tui that I wanted 3 sliding doors for our closet and she looked at me like why would I ever want that. She then showed us samples of the frame finish and we liked the brushed nickel. She said that it was too expensive implying that it was out of our budget. I don’t know if she was judging us because we are a young married couple living in Mira Mesa but it surely seemed like it. I then asked her if she had a glass sample of the sliding door and she looked at me like I was crazy. She replied, «I don’t have that much room in my car to bring that around.» She thought that I meant the whole closet door. Really now? How dumb can you be?! I said sample not the whole closet door! She just showed us samples of the frame finish so I assumed she had samples of the closet door. I was ready to kick her out of our home and my husband could see how furious I was.
She also had NO knowledge of the closet door system she was selling. Any questions we had for her she had to call Gary. She must have called him 3 to 4 times. One of the questions I had for her was if they had a slow closing mechanism for their closet doors. Again, she looked at me like I was insane and stupid. She said, «I’ve never heard of that. I don’t think that’s possible.» I responded by explaining that we went to California Closets last week and they did have that slow closing mechanism. She had to call Gary and ask him and he said yes it’s possible but they don’t provide it since there’s been a lot of issues with it.
My husband and I decided to go with another company based on the poor customer service we received from Tui. She did not represent Classy Closets very well and left a sour taste in our mouths. We decided to do business with The Sliding Door Company. The representative at this other company treated us with the utmost respect and also let us take home SAMPLES of both the frame finish and closet door material. Tui has been calling me for the past couple of days and I haven’t been answering her calls. Her voice mails are very nice and polite… but it’s a little too late for that. I hope she doesn’t treat any other customers the way she treated us.

I have had my new closet and pantry for about 2 months now and I am still pinching myself. I had without a doubt the worst closet on the planet with one tiny rod and no shelves. My pantry had no shelves so I was using the plastic shelves from the hardware store. I called Kate, embarrassed by what she had to face just getting measurements. With a few inputs of my wants and needs, Kate designed the most awesome master closet, hall closet and pantry I could ever imagine, beyond what I had dreamed I would ever own. My closet and pantry look like something out of a magazine and the cost was less than if I had gone with a cheaper looking self designed setup from the internet. I know why they named this business Classy Closets. I wish I could give 100 stars. Thank you Kate.

Classy Closets is the only closet company I trust. Kate did her magic with this very odd-​shaped closet, gave me more room plus thought of things that I NEVER would have. For example I wanted more shoe shelves and she explained to me that since I am only 5’1″ putting the shoe shelves up high made no sense.
It is this attention to detail that made me so happy. Then the installation gentlemen came and they were polite, fast, friendly and the installation went spectacularly. And I only had one tiny closet to do (compared to other jobs that were probably significantly more profitable for Classy Closets) but I was treated as a VIP.
After the installation was done, I asked Kate for a small addition (another shelf) and she volunteered to bring it to me herself. Amazing from beginning to end. Do yourself a favor — go to Classy Closets.
