Empire Dry Cleaners

We were missing a large amount of cash and after tracing our steps realized it was in the pocket of some pants we took to Empire Dry Cleaners! The next morning we went in to ask if they found it, and it was actually in an envelope waiting for us… every bit of it! Before this incident, we have been so pleased with the friendly staff and quality service, and now we are so happy we are your customer. Thank you so much for your honesty. You are to be commended.

I’ve never thought much about dry cleaners. I usually treated them like one of the many invisible services in my life (eg trash, electricity, mail etc). However, the owners here are probably the nicest people I’ve ever met. They greet you as you come in, they are smiling, they are happy. Complimentary coffee. The prices are reasonable. The quality of service is outstanding. They got a difficult stain out of my shirt and didn’t charge me extra. They are a great. I would recommend them over any other dry cleaner. Great job.

I guess they are the owners, but rude, obnoxious, unprofessional people run this place. Clearly they don’t have enough business to keep busy with in the middle of the work day, because I stopped into the business next door and parked into what is apparently their ‘special ’ spot. Literally no more than 5 min, first a lil woman then a man harassing me to move my truck. If you have enough time to see who drives what and where they go, you have too much time on your hands. Seriously. Parking lot is packed, but no one goes to your shop? Aww, how sad. Maybe your rudeness has something to do with it?

Went to this place last week for the first time (I’m new to the area) and I am so glad I found the perfect dry cleaner the first try! The owner and his wife greeted me with a huge smile and welcoming conversation. The clothes came back in immaculate condition. I am going to be utilizing them shortly for some alterations, I’m sure they will prove to be just as great! Good job Empire!

Great service! Went there the other day to get my graduation gown pressed, needed it that same day, they did it right then and there and it took less than 10 min! Only thing was it was kind of pricey.

Terrible and expensive

I have been a customer nearly 4 years. I have never had one complaint with cleaning, service, timeliness or any of the staff.
This is a first class business, owned and operated by an impressive husband/​wife team along with their other cleaning outlet in Rancho Santa Fe. I can’t say enough about the counter staff and their excellent customer service. They spring into action as you walk through the door and frequently one person handles the payment, one person retrieves any clothes waiting for pick-​up and even a third may offer assistance or at least say «Hello.» There is always a smile and a greeting when you walk in and if you have a special need, they will take down ever detail and quickly tell you how they can solve the problem.
Prices are in line with their competitors but they excel at customer service and quality cleaning that sets them apart from other local cleaners. Just as an example, their packaging of shirts, suits, curtains and large bed coverings is better than most cleaners. Also, the inventory system for items cleaned seems to work flawlessly since I have never seen them have to «hunt» for an item that I have come in to pick up on my one or two visits a week.
Lastly, if you need a quick repair to an item, the owners both have the ability to sit down at their sewing machine and have you satisfied within minutes.

Wanted to alter a dress (cut it in half) for my trip, and they got it done in less than 24 hours for me and just charged $ 20 – 30!
Very professional… if you live near escondido – try this place! Theyre not just some hole in the wall alterations/​cleaners who loses your clothes and doesn’t care… they take care of everyone!
