Escondido Optometrix

I’ve been going to Escondido Optometrix since I moved to Escondido a couple years ago. The staff is friendly and Dr. Sit is thorough and professional. I like the convenience of being able to make appointments online and also that they send text reminders and confirmations.

So far, I’m not impressed… I’m sitting in the waiting area, it’s 11:09, and I’m wondering when my 10:45 am first appointment will actually begin. No one has said a word about the wait. And the young woman who checked me in was barely cordial. I guess it can only go up from here!!! Will review again later!

I’ve been a patient at Escondido Optometrix for several years. Dr. Sit and his team are professional, thorough, thoughtful, and always make me feel like their number one priority.

Went in for my annual check up — still amazed at the quality of care this office renders!

Can’t explain how professional everyone was. Came in for my yearly exam. Also because I was having a problem with the glasses I got from another place. Dr. Sit explained in such a good manner why I had this problem. He told me everything with great honesty (Also found out that the other eye doctor pretty much had me buy glasses when I really didn’t need them). My mom had an appointment as well. She was pretty nervous because she’s never had an eye exam. Even though my mom is mainly a Spanish speaker, Dr. Sit was so professional and was still able to communicate with her with no challenges and was friendly. Only doctor I have seen her cooperate with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know. We will definitely be back.

Dr. Sit and his whole crew were amazing! Dr. Sit explained what all the test results meant and why I needed glasses, he was very thorough and patient. Victoria and Miguel were very helpful and honest when helping to pick out glasses. I am definitely glad I found this place and would recommend them to anyone.

All the 5 star reviews are spot on. In addition to being a friendly guy with great bedside manner, Dr. Sit has a level of thoroughness and communication skills that are superior to any doctor of any type that I’ve ever been a patient of. The staff are all friendly, competent and helpful as well. Top notch operation all around.

I visited Escondido Optometrix for the first time yesterday. I have never been seen by an eye Dr. I was pleasantly surprised with Dr. Sit. He was AMAZING! So knowledgable and patient. His examination was very thorough and he had such a pleasant, professional personality. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family.

First visit yesterday for an exam. It ticked off all the boxes that I think makes a good doctor’s office. Clean and pleasant office. Friendly professional staff. State of the art equipment. And most important, a knowledgeable doctor who listens and explains as he goes through the exam or procedure. I’m relatively new to Escondido and made my decision based on Unilocal reviews… so far I’m very pleased I did.

This office always delivers the most pleasant experience. The entire staff is warm, competent and a joy. Dr. Sit is thorough and always explains everything he is doing as well as the rationale behind it. I know that I am in good hands when coming to this office.

The doctor and his entire staff were knowledgable and patient. They took time to answer all of my questions and didn’t rush us out of the door. Having the names of new patients/​patients for the day displayed on a desktop white board was a really welcoming touch. The doctor was excellent with our daughter. I have been a patient at Escondido Optometrix for several years. I have a pretty complicated prescription and wear both contacts and glasses. Dr. Sit has provided the best service and is always thorough and patient with questions. I highly recommend Dr. Sit and his team.

First time client here, and came in for an overall eye exam and to discuss some issues I was having with my vision. Dr. Sit spent a couple hours with me, explaining every test he was giving me, and what he was looking for. He was able to pinpoint what was causing my problem, and explained things clearly. I appreciated that he understood my concern, and didn’t try to brush it aside. He actually cared! I left the office feeling quite confident that my new prescription lenses will be just what I need. Thank you so much! I will refer everyone I know to this office!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sit for 20 years and he and his staff are wonderful! He is so thorough with the eye exam and so patient to explain anything. I’m a patient for life!

I wasn’t having a particular problem that led me to find Dr Sit and his team but it had been awhile since I have had an eye exam and it was time. After reading through the Unilocal reviews I placed the call to Escondido Optometrix and I was not disappointed.
Initially, the first available appointment for a new patient was mid January and that would normally be OK but I had to spend my FSA money before the end of the year. Thinking I would have to go somewhere else, they asked if they could call me back and when they did they squeezed me in right before the new year.
Victoria (V) welcomed me, got me started with paperwork and did the initial screening and then followed up with helping me select my frames. She was very friendly and helpful and since I couldn’t see well at the end, I relied on her to guide me to the glasses that looked best on me and she did a great job.
I like to have choices and be armed with information and Dr. Sit was perfect for me. He makes you feel comfortable, explained each test on what he would be doing, what it was for, and then explained his findings along with whether or not it was something I needed to be concerned about and what I could expect over the years. He took the time to talk and answer any questions, never did I feel he had to rush off to another patient.
A wonderful experience and a great team — you won’t be disappointed.

I love their new location, even though I came on as a new patient back in 2010 at the prior location which is sentimental. Just had to order more contact lenses and couldn’t find the time to even call them. So I went to the website to order when it was after office hours. Staff called me/​text me to confirm and had my new lenses in 2 days-​Wow ! Dr. Sits use’s State of the art Technology and he and his staff offer Good old-​fashion warm and friendly Customer Service to each patient … So glad I found Esc Opt :)))

I’ve been to my share of optometrists. And, I thought that if you’ve been to one optometrist, you’ve been to them all. Dr. Sit totally proved me wrong. And, I am so glad he did! Here’s how I think he’s set apart from all the others I’ve been to:
*Extraordinary bedside manner: he is super friendly and he made the check up a pleasant experience. I bet kids love him too, because he makes you feel at ease. He constantly checked in and made sure I was comfortable, especially as he had to check the health of my eyes and put eye drops in.
*Knowledgeable (and happy to share that knowledge): I had LASIK back in 2006, so I mainly get annual vision checkups to ensure my eyes are healthy. I shared that with Dr. Sit and he showed me diagrams of how the eye heals after LASIK, and how your vision may naturally (and slowly) get worse, which was the case for me. It was really insightful and educational.
*Staff that is friendly and happy to help: I wanted to understand what pricing options I had for new glasses and they were happy to check with the insurance to provide me with options.
*They accept my insurance (VSP).
*Private parking lot, so I don’t have to park on the street.
*Nice variety of glasses and sunglasses to choose from
Dr. Sit will be my go-​to Optometrist here on out. If you’re looking for an optometrist, I would highly recommend him! Here’s to your health!

This place is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. The place I previously went did not accept my insurance so I went here due to that and the awesome reviews. I needed new glasses and had a current prescription from the other place. They got me right in and were very helpful with showing me glasses within my price range and style that I wanted.
I I’ll definitely be coming here for my yearly eye exam! The employees all seem to enjoy their jobs and helping customers. I believe Miguel was the person who helped me and picking out glasses was actually enjoyable and I didn’t feel pressured or stressed to pick something expensive, not my style etc.
They really want you to have a good experience and get the best care and service. I’m so glad I found a place like this!

Sent my 80-​year-​old dad here a few weeks ago and he was so impressed and happy with how he was treated from the front desk through his whole exam and getting glasses.
Called this morning because my friend was being told he had to go all the way to Carlsbad to get his glasses fixed. Optometrix got him right in, fixed his glasses within ten minutes and sent him on his way with no hassle. He just texted me to say, on top of it, how incredibly nice they were.
So, if I could add a star to my review I would. But I can’t so I’m just reiterating it. :)

I have been a client of Dr. Sit’s for over 10 years now. He and his whole staff are amazing! I find myself looking forward to my annual exam just for an excuse to catch up with these lovely people. Dina and Beverly are friendly, effervescent, warm, and caring. Picking out a new pair of eye glasses with the two of them is like the most fun shopping trip to the mall! Dr. Sit is the perfect mixture of very professional and your best friend. He genuinely cares about you and ensures that you understand everything he is doing and everything he recommends. The cost if affordable and they work with your insurance so you don’t have to think twice.
