Felicita Hair & Nails

I admit to being a little high maintenance about my hair. My regular hair stylist recently moved and I’ve been putting off finding someone new because it makes me anxious to even think about. I went into Felicita Hair & Nails yesterday to get my nails done, full set French tip. Jackie had just finished setting a perm and her brother stepped in to finish prepping that client so they could get me right in. While she was doing my nails, I mentioned my hair and asked how she feels about A-​line cuts. I’ve had bad experiences before with people who are inexperienced with cutting this style but she said it was one of the first cuts she learned and that she does them all the time. I felt so comfortable with her the whole time I was there and decided to give her a shot at my hair. Made an appt and went back in this morning to have her cut hair. I was in and out within an hour and she did a fantastic job. I live in San Marcos but definitely will be making the drive to Escondido again in the future. I went in on a whim because I happened to be in the area and they made a regular client out of me! The level of service is worth way more than their prices would indicate:-)

I have been getting my hair and nails done at this wonderful place for over 10 years now. Jacque and Thomas are so nice and really treat all their clients like special friends. They bend over backwards to make their clients happy and I love the way Jacque does up do’s and hair styling for very special events. They are extremely patient with children and the elderly.

Been coming to Jacque for over 20 years. She is a true pro who knows how to make my hair look great every time. Please ignore the 2 people who complained. Jacque has built this business on repeat business and referrals. If someone has a bad experience it’s because they didn’t communicate what they wanted. And I know for a fact that they will make anything the client is unhappy about right.

Have been a long term client (10+years), getting haircuts for myself, daughter and son.
Jacque and Thomas are super nice, polite, treat their clients like family and make you feel comfortable. You can come in by appointment or walk in (may have to wait if they are busy).
Prices are reasonable and they seriously want you to be happy with the end result.
Definitely recommend.

Dropped in for a brow arch and at first they completely ignored me even though there was only one other client there. However, the ‘stylist’ apologized and asked me what type of service I wanted. She then asked me to go to the back to lay on surface with untidy sheets. Although she was ‘nice’ she did a crappy job with the brow wax. When I pointed out the my brows were OBVIOUSLY uneven, she asked me to stoop (I’m tall and she was short) so that she could fix it. Tacky operation.

Jacque has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 15 years. I moved away from Escondido many years ago, but I still drive up from La Mesa — wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else. They are honest, talented and professional. Many, many of their clients have been going there for over 15 years, like me. I am confident referring my friends to Felicita Hair and Nails. But, if you want her to do something to your hair that she knows will look horrible or damage your hair, she won’t do it. That’s what I call integrity. And, you get a salon cut and color at chain store prices!

HORRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I went in there to get my red hair touched up. and came out with this chocolate brown monstrosity. I was not even asked if I wanted brown put in my hair, it was just done. I will never go back. Worst salon experience ever.
