Hertz Rent A Car

I have been renting from them at least a couple times a year for years and years. Can usually get a car for a week for about $ 100/​wk. Connie always hooks me up. She has never let me down.

They are At 900 N. Quince now. Not much to look at –just a trailer in the back of a repair center but the service was fantastic. I reserved a car in advance and it was waiting for me, clean and fueled up. The check out and check in were quick and straightforward, professional and no BS. Car ran great. I will defenitely use them again.

This place has moved temporarily.
The customers and staff are a bit frustrated with it as it’s seriously just a trailer within another company’s lot. Not sure if it’s going to reduce business, but it’s definitely a damper on things.
It’s difficult to get in and out of, since there is only one entryway.
The staff are trying their best to get people in and out on the road as quickly as possible, sometimes sacrificing quality.
I’ll probably return in hopes of getting a great rental deal for my next business trip or leisure trip.

For a big name company, I would expect this level of quality from Billy Bob’s Rent-​A-​Junk. I was given a Nissan Versa with 30,000 miles on it. I swear it looked like it was beat to death over 130,000 miles. The paint was all scuffed up and there were rock pits all over. Here’s the funny part. The car was interesting to me as an economy car so I started poking around under the hood and into the trunk. Everything was deplorably filthy. This car hadn’t been vacuumed in what seamed like years (it was a 2014). The spare tire area was littered with paper pulp and when i pulled up the tire tools, it seems like this car had been under water. There’s no way it could have gotten that wet inside otherwise. I looked under the front seats with a flashlight a noticed that all the framework had surface rust. Flood car? Yes, I could have taken it back and complained but it wasn’t worth the hassle to deal with the slackers behind the counter again. The car drove fine and it got me to work so I just lived with it. Hertz really hurtz.

The place has improved since, they seem to hire a good number of staff now. They will accommodate the best they can now for you.

It all started with a online rental. They gave me a total and then a month later when I went to pick up the rental I was told it was $ 200 more for the deposit until the car is returned. No problem but I didn’t have the total $ 600 on 1 card but 2 cards. They can’t splint the transaction, they wont take cash for the rental and card for deposit. So they had to hold my car for 2 days because it was Saturday at noon and I needed to make another payment on my credit card. That wouldn’t post until Monday so thank goodness I pre-​planned and didn’t plan to leave for my vacation until Monday or this would have totally screwed my whole vacation. We finally got the rental, guy at counter asked when we would return I said Friday but we wanted the car until Saturday so we could clean it etc. He said no problem we didn’t need to clean it.
So I decide to return the car an hour before it was due to find another customer service rep to tell me that they would charge me an $ 80 cleaning fee. Told him what the last guy told me and his response in return was «NO cleaning fee but only with in reason» by whose opinion, is my question?! I went to a wooded area, with snow, I didn’t clean that car because I was told I didn’t have too. It was mostly vacuuming that needed done. I was upset. Told him well I have an hour left I will drive down to the car wash and get it detailed for $ 20.
Did the car wash thing and came back, the guy and women who helped me ended up finding me a «cleaning fee discount» and «online coupon» ended up saving me $ 100 from the original quote I got online.
In the end I was pleased with the cost but the headache of going through all this drama was why I gave an Meh experience with Hertz. They could give you a TOTAL quote online including deposit, explain it all needs to be on one payment no cash or double transactions needed. Also don’t tell me there is no cleaning fee and then later try to tell me there is an $ 80 fee. Thank God I had an hour extra to take to the detail shop myself and save the $ 60.00. Beware and double check everything! Get it in writing.

Horrible service. Reserved a car and told me to pick up at a different location and it wasn’t there. Had to wait 30 minutes because the car wasn’t ready and needed to be cleaned. No gas in the car. The worst.

Please don’t go here… their representative Brian is so condescending and uninformed. while I was here returning my car there was another customer with an issue as well as myself and Brian managed to be rude to both of us!!! They charged me an additional cleaning charge for something I was never informed about before taking out the rental. Then when I questioned this they told me I was lucky they weren’t charging me 3x what they were. It seems that most of their business comes from people dealing with car insurance claims. I sure wouldn’t use them again by choice…

Mossy Nissan Collision Center arranged for, and delivered to us, a rental car after we were rear ended on the freeway. Unfortunately they used this place. We had the rental for 45 days. When our car was finally repaired, Mossy delivered it to our home and retrieved the rental. We had backed the rental with a credit card.
The first Hertz snafu was that someone (either Mossy or them but definitely not us) put the return date on the contract for 3 days after we got the car. No body shop works that fast. Of course we did not know that so a few weeks later we got a nasty letter and a lot of phone messages from the Hertz Vehicle Control people. At that point we were common criminals and nothing we said could convince them otherwise. It still mystifies me why Hertz would not just check with Mossy before sicking their dogs on us.
It got worse: We got the charge on our card and they had billed us based upon a return date 7 days after Mossy had retrieved the car from us. Lots of calls to Hertz, lots of calls to Mossy, lots of finger pointing and finally Hertz fessed up that they did get the car back a week earlier. Problem solved? Hell No!!! It was going to take three to five WEEKS to evaluate, process and approve the refund. Now if I had some degree of confidence that the refund would happen I would have been happy to float Hertz an interest free loan for a month or so. But… I had a feeling that nothing was going to happen and in three to five weeks I would be starting over. So I filed a BBB complaint and that seemed to get their attention. They contacted me (that was a first) and said a refund would happen in a few days. It did and we are now squared up but it took hours and hours of my time to get there.

Staff seems nice but they are understaffed and a bit inefficient with their check in and check out because they have no clear lines and everyone has to ask each other «are you waiting in line?».

I’m having some minor work done on my car and needed a rental for a few days. AAA set it up for me. Overall, a good experience so far. I called after the reservation was made to confirm the details and reached a call center since the branch was closed. They verified my info and told me to call the branch when I went to drop off my car to arrange a pick up. I called in the AM, and the person at the branch told me that the body shop would call them when I got there. Ok then.
When I dropped off my car this morning, the body shop called Hertz for me. It took a while for them to get there (which is why I had called ahead), but the driver was very courteous and friendly. We had a nice chat on the way to the branch. Upon arrival, I had to wait in a short line while the two employees helped other customers. They received quite a few phone calls as well, but juggled it all pretty well. The man who assisted me was very pleasant, and pulled up my reservation with no problems. I had requested a full sized sedan. He noted that I drive a 2012 Camry, and offered me a choice between a 2012 Camry or an Altima. Either would meet my needs, but I chose the Camry, and it is great to be driving a familiar vehicle!
I’d give them a 4.5. All of my interactions with Hertz employees have been great so far. My only complaint was that arranging the pick up was a bit confusing — getting different directions from different people. Still one of the better rental experiences I’ve had, and miles above the Enterprise fiasco last time I had my car in the shop!

Always use this Hertz since it close to my house, I also only use Hertz in general. This counter does get busy and their is usually a small line when you come in around popular hours (opening, lunch, after work times); however they hustle and get you out quick. Don in particular is a great guy to work with, man of his word and very helpful.
I will continue to use this location, very best of service.

I always rent from Hertz because of their excellent customer service and how well kept their cars are vs. other rental car companies i’ve used before. The price may sometimes be more than their competitors, but for the customer service and quality of the vehicles, i’ll gladly pay the difference.
This location is on par with what I would expect from a Hertz location. The staff are very friendly and genuinely helpful. They do seem to be understaffed, but i guess you have to keep in mind this is a very small location compared to others. Had 0 issues picking up a car for a family member visiting town and we even got a nice upgrade for not so much extra. The employee who handled our rental noticed the car we were getting seemed to be slightly dirty and made sure the car was washed and cleaned inside and out before we left.
Would definitely rent from this location again. It’s exactly the experience I would expect when renting from Hertz.

Eduardo is over worked and I’m sure not paid enough for the service he provides! I was skeptical about going here after I read some of the reviews but it was close and I am lazy, so I went. They have just added Thrifty as a partner in this location and there were about 10 people waiting to be helped and poor Eduardo working all alone! He did his absolute best to work as fast as he could to get everyone the help they needed. I’m writing this review in hopes that his BOSS will hire some more people and make this location one of the best around. All they need is 4 more Eduardo’s!!! :)

Hard-​working employees, but their success is limited because they are chronically understaffed. If you like waiting around a lot of other people who are frustrated because they have been waiting for so long, this is your spot!

Staff is very friendly, however their new policies make it difficult for many to do the simplest of things. I had to wait an hour just to get outta there with a rental, and the people next to me waited around the same time.
