The most incompetent sales staff/manager I have ever had to interact with. Trying to exchange a $ 70 dress after I have spent $ 400 in the destination maternity chain shouldn’t be an impossible feat. Sure I didn’t have a receipt, as I misplaced my gift receipt, but the tags were attached to the dress and it was in perfect unworn condition. I had returned other baby shower gifts without receipts to multiple stores for store credit without any problem. That was all I wanted. As I realized that the staff was trying to not do anything to help I just asked to exchange the dress for a larger size, as they had the exact same dress on a front display and the small I received wasn’t going to work with my 8 month baby bump. To my surprise they were unwilling to even do this! They said I would need the phone number of the person who actually purchased the dress to find it in their system. I had 40 people at my shower and couldn’t remember who actually gave me the dress at that time. I tried to explain this to them and they said that this had never happened before and basically belittled me for not keeping track of the gift receipt or who bought me the dress. After over a half an hour the manager got a waiver # from the district manager and I was able to exchange the small dress for a large. It should have never been this difficult nor should I have been treated like that. Thank goodness this baby is almost due because I will not be going back to any destination maternity store chain because of their ridiculous policies and reluctance to use common sense and basic customer service.

It is so hard not to buy everything here! I heard that maternity clothes are so expensive and was trying to avoid it but I’m pregnant with twins and that’s just impossible. Not many places carry maternity, so I figured what do I have to lose? and gave it a try. Glad I did! You definitely notice the quality and fit is so nice and the customer service is amazing! I’ve shopped here 3 times and it was so nice that the girls remembered me. Start at the clearance section and if you catch them on a sale and/or happen to get your hands on a coupon, you will be so happy with what you get for the price.

I’m currently 9 months pregnant and went into this store for the first time today. I was measured and fitted for a maternity nursing bra. And I love that the associates didn’t pressure me to buy anything. They had great advice and helped me picked out the perfect sleep/nursing bra. I think their names were Victoria and Brittani. I only bought 1 bra today because I want to try it out for a couple days before purchasing more. But I definitely feel like I’ll be back. The ladies are so sweet here. And I love the stuff they carry. It was my first time seeing the Jessica Simpson line, and it is sooo cute! Not sure if it’s comfortable but I’ll have to try those next time when my feet aren’t swollen.

3÷13÷15 Update: After I posted my negative experience on Motherhood’s corporate website, I received a response in less than 24 hours. Impressive. I spoke with Vaniden, the District Manager who apologized and assured me that this should have never happened. She also told me to come back into the store and talk to the manager, Jennifer, who would help me out. Well, I went in that day, and Jennifer was amazingly pleasant, helpful, accommodating, etc. She even brought my rambunctious toddler blocks to play with while I tried on nursing bras. I was so pleased with everything I ended up buying four! While I had a negative experience there initially, I really do appreciate when a business can take accountability, correct the issue and treat their customers with respect and dignity. I’ve been pregnant THREETIMES in the last five years, so I was disheartened that this happened, because I find this store to carry good quality, great priced maternity clothes. Glad I can come back and shop without feeling embarrassed for having such a big stroller. To the associate that I dealt with initially, maybe it was all a misunderstanding to begin with, maybe I read her wrong, no hard feelings. Yeay for happy endings. And yeay that after this pregnancy I’ll NEVER be in the market for maternity clothes again because I’m DONE having babies!!! =0) I’ve been to many small stores and I have NEVER been stopped at the door and asked to park my stroller outside, until today-at MOTHERHOOD of all places!!! Mind you, I’m 8 months pregnant with a one year old, five year old, a stroller full of shopping bags, my diaper bag and wallet. This employee, who clearly lacked logic and good customer service expected my very pregnant self to carry my baby, diaper bag, shopping bags and hold my daughter’s hand? No thank you, ill just take my business elsewhere. In the mean time, ill probably contact corporate and let them know that this employee clearly makes them look bad and should be better trained in customer service and basic logistics.

I have been to this store twice: first for my skinny maternity jeans & second for my nursing bras. And each visit was pleasant thanks to the ladies working there. They are very professional & helpful co-mothers/co-moms-to-be. The second I walk into the store I am warmly greeted & immediately helped into exactly what I am looking for. I was always clueless & overwhelmed on what to get but they would lay out the options for me & help me narrow down what would be most comfortable, yet stylish, for me. I love these ladies! They make my visits quick & make me feel happy throughout the process. If you’re a new mom-to-be do not hesitate to come & approach this store for all your new mommy essentials, HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

Worst customer service EVER! The girls name was Gladys or something but she was just incredibly unprofessional. The store was completely unorganized all the regular priced items were mixed in to the clearance rack and I had no clue what anything cost. And when she«prepared a fitting room» for me she didn’t bother taking the persons clothes out that had used it before me! I don’t care if your job is to flip a sign on the side of a road take a little pride in what your doing! Especially in customer service!!! Don’t F with a pregnant girl and ruin her shopping experience just because you hate your job. Gladys L. I hope you get fired

I caved even though I said I wouldn’t be back. I had no choice. My ever growing belly coupled with being short… well, my options are limited. I think they had a staff change or something. I was greeted quickly by Emily and she asked what I was looking for and how she could help. I told her exactly what I needed and viola. She pulled TONS of stuff for me, started a dressing room, checked on my, changed sizes… everything. I bought 3 pairs of jeans and 4 blouses. I’m very happy with my purchases. I probably won’t be back because I don’t anticipate needing anything in the future(28 weeks pregnant and not having any more kids!) but I like how things have improved at the store.

Worst. Customer Service. Ever. I waited and waited to return a pair of tights(price, $ 10) because I wanted leggings. Even though I was NEXTINLINE the cashier concluded a long transaction with another customer, then turned to measure someone else for a bra. Someone else who came up while I was standing in line. After she finished with that customer(including opening the dressing room door for her), she gave me back my $ 9.77 after quizzing me on my phone number, my mother’s phone number(and name) and whether or not I’d purchased there before AND trying to sell me more of their crappy quality leggings, I finally got it. I will NEVER go back to this store. I will tell EVERYONE that MM has HORRIBLE customer service. Why do they only have one cashier for the entire store at once? Cheapo.
