I cannot say enough about dr. Newton. He is kind he is brilliant he is holy! I truly believe that dr Newton is an angel that has fallen from heaven. I love you dr Newton and I thank you for healing my daughter. You have healed her, you have given her a new life. I asked you before surgery to take care of my baby… And your reply was«she’s my baby for today and I will take care of her as if she was my own» and you did. We love you!

My daughter is a patient of Dr Newton and I highly recommend him. We met him at a terrible time in our lives, 4 years ago, when my 8 year old was diagnosed with Scoliosis. He is confident and compassionate. Although the office visit typically takes a few hours including XRay, once we are face to face with him he takes his time and is always happy to answer our questions. He is highly recognized and respected among international researchers in the field of Scoliosis. Search: Scoliosis Research Society & . I have never had trouble with the office. When needed, Amy, his nurse, has been extremely helpful via phone or email.

Our son is about to undergo scoliosis spinal fusion and we have not seen any reviews about Dr. Newton. Apparently, he’s an excellent surgeon but the staff and administration at Rady Orthopedics in San Diego is extremely disorganized and impersonal. Compared to other surgeons we sought out in other areas, we got excellent follow-up, information and emotional support, but not here, that is why we are nervous. We have had ZERO phone calls on what our insurance will cover or better yet, what this office’s fees will be, after leaving several messages for the person in charge. They don’t seem to have a go-to person for emotional support of the kids or the parents, every time I visit this office I feel like the Dr. explains everything excellent but there is no follow-up. I’ve been hugged so many times in other Dr.‘s offices, just that human touch makes all the difference. They are also disorganized, one staff member says something and the ladies at the checkout reception area say the opposite. Mismanagement and miscommunication may be the problem. :(
