History

Established in 1989.

Many years ago, the residents of Palomar Mountain purchased 160 acres of land on Palomar Mountain, Southern California. This land had springs with the purest of nature’s wonders; natural spring water. In March of 1985 they established Palomar Mountain Spring Water and developed a water delivery system to bring this 100% natural drinking water to the homes and businesses of San Diego County. This system was so unique that the public response was overwhelmingly positive; Palomar Water could deliver pure spring water from the top of the mountain directly into a 60-​gallon reservoir for residential and commercial use.

In 1989 two business associates formed a partnership and started a bottling line, making sixteen ounce to 2.5-gallon bottles of the Palomar spring water available to merchants and chain stores throughout San Diego County. Mike is extremely rude & unprofessional! I had issues in December & January, he was such a jerk when I called him. Furthermore, switching to a monthly delivery schedule is inconvenient. Factor that with Mike’s inappropriate behavior, I’m going to shop around for a new water company.

I have used the service for a year to have 5 gallon bottles delivered. As I am a working student with only a motorcycle for transport, this type of bottle delivery is essential to get some water other than tap into the house.
At the start of 2016, my second year of service, I had some issues with billing so I called to have them amended. I was eventually connected to Mike who really took the time to work with me and find an effective compromise to my problem. I really appreciate how he took what I needed into consideration.
Definitely recommend this service.

We used Palomar for quite some time in my office decent luck, in the end i found their staff to be rude and very condescending. I tried to stop service at one location but continued to be billed until i caught it. When i called them they were just awful, i finally paid the bill to just be done with them. I would NEVER use them again.

I cannot even begin to explain how grateful I am for Palomar Mountain Spring Water! The customer service is just above and beyond! Thanks to J.D. and his amazing customer service we had water delivered within 30 minutes of calling. We just switched from Sparkletts the most horrific customer service I have ever experienced after being placed on hold for 2 hours and being hung up on! I just about had it. I have had nothing but horrible service from this company. Do not believe anything Mike says. He says he’ll show up one day to fix something and cancels and makes it another day. Then makes it later than the time he first promised. I’ve had the wrong water delivered, on top of having a bottle that wasn’t even full! Do not trust them automatically taking the bill out every month, because it doesn’t happen. And if Mike tells you he will credit you on the next bill, that won’t happen either. Horrible customer service as well. They don’t even listen to a word you’re saying. Just transfer you to some one else. Would never recommend this company to anyone!!!

I first noticed Palomar Mountain Water when I was on Jack Creek Trail in Daily Ranch. It was hot and they had a water station, which is now gone. I told my kids, «Now that’s a company I can support» as it was really hot and we were very thirsty. A couple years later, we signed up with them. It’s been almost 5 years now. Best tasting water and best service I have had from a water company. They even deliver distiller water in 5 gallon sizes. When I had service from another company, they kept trying to way too many bottles on me and it was frustrating. Not with these. Mike signed up my office and my brother’s office and they’ve been great ever since.

Great service! I live in a pain in the butt complex where you have to enter a gate then another gate. Palomar works with me and calls me before hand so I can come down to open gate. Pureflo was not willing to do this for me this is why I now do business with Palomar. Much better customer service, I will be referring them to all my friends/​family.

Mike Sopher is THE MAN!!!
My wife and I met him at the Encinitas Street fair 3 years ago, and we have been loyal customers of Palomar Spring Water ever since. If we have guests staying for long periods, we would go through more water. Mike always makes sure we are never, ever, want for water.

Called up in the morning and was set up the SAME day in 92 057. Been using the service for 45-​days and no regrets. You can change your order by either calling in or leaving a clear note on one of the bottle. Also, you can add BPA-​free bottles to take away.

I am updating my review re Mike Sopher and his awesome customer service. As a cancer survivor, I thought that using glass bottles would be better for my health. I had heard stories of plastic water bottles turning toxic after being left in the car due to the heat etc.
The problem with glass is that once they are filled with water (even the three gallon containers) they become extremely heavy. If you’re a woman with limited upper body strength from multiple surgeries, you would be unable to lift the bottles safely.
I explained my quandary to Mike and he assured me their plastic bottles were BPA free and safe for me to use. I switched to plastic, and now have the peace of mind using a lighter container that is non-​carcinogenic.
