When making an appointment with Palomar Urology, we were a little concerned about seeing a non-MD, but shouldn’t have been. Audra DiCaro, Physician Assistant at Palomar Urology(Genesis Healthcare) in Escondido, was a very good communicator — and more important, a good listener — especially with older individuals. She was patient, calm and put us at ease. She didn’t hesitate to bring in one of the group’s doctors to confirm her diagnosis, which was correct. The office staff was friendly and helpful, though appeared a bit overworked.

I found Dr. Anthony to be somewhat rude and no compassion whatsoever. The first time we visited him for my 90-year-old mother we waited over one hour after being put in the exam room. When he finally came in he was very short and rude. Got the impression he’s a bit full of himself. I left an urgent message for him that was never returned. We desperately needed a urologist to see my mother while she was in the hospital with reoccurring UTIs. Although he was the doctor on call his response simply was«she’ll have to make an appointment and come into the office». As I mentioned before she is 90 years old and getting to his office is a huge ordeal. It would’ve been such a help if he could have just seen her while she was in the hospital. After all he was on call at the time. Actually I take my one star back. Absolutely nothing positive about this doctor

I also experienced problems with staff here. Dr, Polishuk & Dr. Jones are great while Dr. Anthony is a medical malpractice case waiting to happen. Some of the staff are exceptional but in only takes one of the inept to ruin your progress. I would suggest going elsewhere if you can but I really liked the care I received fro Dr. Polishuk.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Jones for years now. My evaluation of him, as a physician, would be excellent. However, the efficiency of his staff leaves something to be desired. I am running low on my BPH meds. 2 weeks ago I had my meds company notify Dr. Jones office of the need for a refill; I have not received a response from them. I called the automated phone system at the office and left a message on the prescription line 5 days ago: no response from Jones’ office. 2 days ago I called and left a message on the switchboard answering service, they were too busy to answer, still no return phone call. The service of the front office sux!
