Rick was able to come out and give a bid than 24 hours after I called to get a quote on hooking up our new gas range and installing the plumbing for our garbage disposal/​sink. We had granite put in and found out that the granite guys changed their mind about installing our range so we needed Rick’s help ASAP!
He called and said he would be a few minutes late, which was very much appreciated.
Since his pricing for the jobs was acceptable (I don’t want to include the prices in case they change by the time you read this), we called him a few hours later to let him know we would like him to do the job (he didn’t pressure us when he was here). We spoke on a Thursday afternoon and he was here by Saturday morning.
Very friendly and knowledgeable and everything works great. Can’t wait to use him again!

Ahhhhhhhh, trying to get work done on the hacienda. Half of the ‘Handymen’ I called didn’t show up! Rick Sumners came out the day I called him and gave me a bid.
He was right in the ballpark of what I assumed I would have to pay. He showed up on time the day he said he would be here, had a helper, was serious about providing me with the work I wanted, and finished the job!
This project involved cement, cutting a dry rotted piece out of my patio cover and fence repair.…This is the funny part, I got bids from $ 225. to $ 2,200. — NO KIDDING!
Rick’s bid was at $ 650. — not the lowest but I knew he would show up and get the job done. I did call the $ 225. bid guy but he said he didn’t know when he could come on over as ‘things were crazy for him.“
Rick has been working around Escondido for years and does a good job. Try him out, you’ll like him!
