Description

Specialties

At Roma we pride ourselves on quality and service and have since the early 1900’s.

Three generations have owned and operated stores starting with Grandpa Peter, his son Joseph and grandson Peter Impala.

Our first store started in Boston at the end of WWI with Peter’s California Fruit Exchange. The success of Peter’s first store helped facilitate his second in Alhambra which opened its doors in the 1950′s.Roma Market then moved to Pasadena. It was born from the passion to share this «simply Italian» way of life through one of our favorite joys — food!

Roma Market in Pasadena, run by Joseph’s partner Rosario Mazzeo, has been proudly serving the Pasadena community with quality Italian goods. Many people think about «the sandwich» when Roma is mentioned.

We believe that one of life’s greatest pleasures is what happens around good food. By creating and offering the best specialty products we can find at the lowest price points, we at Roma are continuing our family tradition. Roma will now share its quality eats in Southern California by opening a second Roma Market in Escondido. Our goal is to spread the love of quality food at a reasonable cost for all to enjoy.
