Specialties

Owner & operator, Ed Vergeer, invites you to come and stroll our tropical jungle paradise. We’ve grown Tropical Indoor Plants for 29yrs. for home or office décor, cozy-ness, air filtering, gifts, atriums, and special events (weddings and banquets). We grow 90 varieties in many sizes in almost an acre of greenhouse. We can even email photos if desired. We can ship anywhere in the USA from here in sunny San Diego.

Our slogan is ‘Color That Won’t Bloom Out’ because the color we grow is permanent in the leaves not temporary in a flower. And though we grow no flowers, our leaves are red, orange, yellow, purple, silver, cream, white, and pink. [Did I mention green?] Many of the tropical varieties we offer are: Agloneama, Aralia, Butterfly, Burro’s Tail, Candy Corn [Gold Fish], Charlie[Creeping], China Doll, Combos [multiple varieties per pot], Cordyline[Ti Plant], Croton, Dieffenbachia, Draceana, Fern, Ficus, Fittonia, Hoya, Ivy, Palm, Peace Lily, Pepperomia, Philodendron, Potho, Prayer Plant, Purple Passion, Rubber Tree, Schefflera, Spider, String of Pearl [Rosary Beads], Wandering Jew, Zebra, and we’re the creator, grower, & exclusive seller of Marginata Mangrove — available nowhere else in the world.

Research [NASA] shows that plants offer a way to stay healthier, since many people spend most of their time indoors. Plants eliminate certain air pollutants by taking away poisonous carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, and others from the air, then releasing ‘pure

History

Established in 1986.

Ed’s father, Bill, came from Holland in 1960 and began a landscape maintenance route. In 1986, he sold it and moved onto the greenhouse nursery property with his family. Ed has been learning, growing, and enjoying this business for almost 30 years now. All the plants come as cuttings from Costa Rica, Honduras, & Guatemala, or Florida, the soil comes from Canada, and my family is from Holland, so in one sense, we’re an international company. We’re family owned and operated.

Aquaponics. Ever heard of it? It’s Hydroponics [grow in water vs soil] combined with Aquaculture [fish farming]. Grow organic, backyard, fresh veggies & fish [Tillapia for us]. Uses 90% less water, is more nutritional, and tastes better — than soil grown! Call & check it out.

Ask me about home business, home-making, home building, home schooling, home birth, home church, and home counselling [Biblical]. I love working with all of God’s creation.

Hope to hear from you soon,
