My interest in the field of Horticulture and Landscape Design came from the many hours spent working with my grandmother in her extensive gardens designed by my great grandfather. This family love for gardening and design lead me to Virginia Tech where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Horticulture and a focus on Landscape Construction and Residential Design.

While at Virginia Tech, I experienced many gardens all over the East Coast that expanded my concept of how outdoor space can be both functional and beautiful. After two trips to Europe, visiting some of the most amazing gardens on earth in Italy, England, Ireland and Wales, I settled into my career with a broad view of landscape design. Everywhere I have worked since then has helped me to grow in my plant knowledge, design technique and hardscape background. These experiences give me the tools necessary to provide a comprehensive design unique to my clients own personal site challenges, desires and goals.
