I could not be happier with the Foam Outlet. I got terribly cheated a few years ago by a Patio and Hearth Company in Bucks County who made me replacement cushions for a very special room in my home. I was so disappointed with the job they did I actually could not enjoy my room any more because the cushions were so cheesy and uncomfortable that I would be heart sick every time I sat on them. I stopped into Foam Outlet for a very tiny project and Thank God I met Jim, the owner and talked to him about my dreadful cushions. I left out of there skipping because he assured me he could and would make me new cushions that I would be totally pleased with and could once again fall back on love with my favorite room. Boy, this guy is the REAL deal. I got my new cushions on Thursday and haven’t left my Florida room since. I LOVE my new cushions so much. It gives me such joy to know there are still good people and Jim is one of them. Don’t even hesitate or give a second thought to using this place. Your going to get treated fairly and the man knows FOAM and gives you options to select what’s right for you. It’s just like the Three Bears Story. It’s going to be «just right». I will send everyone there because I know they will be happy with what they get. Thank You so much for being such a stand up Guy.

Thank you Jim Marr for your outstanding service! I have an interesting project and needed foam cut to size — which of course was no problem for Jim — but then he even took the time with me to explain how to upholster the pieces. (I am not a seamstress by any means!!) He made me an example piece to take with me so I could figure it out. Thanks again, Jim! It is difficult to find such great service anymore!

Sitting on my newly resurrected couch, and I couldn’t be happier! We took the cushions from my parents’ 40+ year old couch and had new foam put in. This couch has great «bones» but the cushions were a bit saggy looking. It now looks great and feels very comfortable.
As a bonus, they even repaired the zipper on one cushion free of charge. Totally worth the cost, and I would highly recommend this business!
And for the record, I’ve never written a review before!

I am really glad I found this place! They really took the time to walk me through all the different options and explained the difference between density and firmness. Their cushions resemble a memory foam consistency and I love that!
Of course I went in there thinking I needed the firmest cushion available… I was wrong!
They helped me pick the perfect replacement cushions for my couch, placed the cover back on and now they look amazing. Better than when they were delivered by West Elm at purchase.
And, there’s a warranty. I’ve had my cushions replaced before and I’ve never received a warranty.
If you are unhappy with slouching cushions but still like your couch, this is a great option. And I like that this is a family business.
The place is a little hard to find, but if you get lost and call them, they will even provide directions.
Super happy about this purchase; money well spent. Now, my chubby pups can nestle on the couch and I don’t have to worry about sagging cushions. Win for everyone. Thanks Foam Outlet!

I kept hearing the ads and we had some cushions on our wicker sofa thay needed new life. Finally got there using gps. Not so easy to find but definitely worth it. We opted for the most firm since theu receive a lot of use. It was explained why we might want less firm and many people might. Very friendly service. Will definitely recommend them and will return.

Jim was very friendly and knows his business! he explained exactly what he does, the cost, the process. The foam is guaranteed — it will probably last longer than my sofa! So I left the 6 loose sofa backs and he completed them in a few hours. Could not be happier! Sofa looks new! Don’t let the appearance of the ‘Quonset hut’ in the middle of a boat storage yard fool you. You won’t find better service at a reasonable price anywhere. And Jim is a great guy!

I went to foam outlet and had my couch cushions done on my leather couch I have had for years. The old cushions had worn out badly. I spoke with Jim on the phone and he was very helpful. His website is equally informative, explaining in detail how the foam weight is determined. I went in expecting to buy the firmest possible. After sampling the cushions he has on display I went with the most popular weight, which he recommended. That was months ago. My couch cushions are so firm now, and have held that firmness. I wish I could find this level of quality service and product in the rest of the retail world. If you are trying to revive an older, or even newer, piece of furniture or anything else needing foam this is the only place you need to look. The price was very affordable as well. Thanks Jim. Visited the foam outlet to have dog bed pillows replaced. They recommended a nicer foam that is more substantial then the egg carton foam I had. They cut it in about 10 minutes. Great service. Price was very reasonable compared to standard craft store. Highly recommend the foam outlet to replace any type of cushion. Located in a boatyard.

Came here looking for a replacement small piece of foam which I use for a pillow. The staff checked out what I had, told me all about it (who knew there could be a informative back and forth about a piece of foam!) and said they did not have an exact poundage for what I brought in, but this was close. I felt it, and said to give me what they recommended.
He went in the back and within a minute came back out with the piece of foam. I asked how much, and he said $ 5. SOLD!
Awesome and friendly help, and extremely knowledgeable. On a Saturday when I came in, customers were steadily coming in.

I took two Love Seat cushions to the Foam outlet today 12/​30/​2015. They were two years old and absolutely in bad shape. Jim took a few minutes to explain why the cushions had failed and after going me advice on which density foam to choose, was able to make those old cushions better then new. The price was fair, and the best part is my wife thinks I’m a hero. Our very nice love seat is now looking like new for our New Years Party! Thanks Jim!

Excellent service and quality foam product. All the five star reviews were on target. Our sofa cushions came out great and felt very comfortable but sturdy. It only took 30 minutes and our cushions looked and felt good as new. The trip to the place took longer because we relied on the map provided in the Unilocal review and got extremely lost. We decided to call and Jim gave us great directions. So its best to call and ask for directions. It was well worth the long ride though because not only did we get great service but also quality cushions for a reasonable price.

My 45 year old sofa cushions had to be replaced. After doing some research and reading about foam, I decided to try the Foam Outlet.
Upon arrival, Jim explained his process as well as the three different levels of foam firmness he had available. He had me sit on my old cushion and then compare the potential new ones so that I could select my desired level of firmness appropriately. For me, it was a very easy choice. I went with the firmest. Within 20 minutes Jim had measured my cushions, cut the new foam, and recovered it with my upholstery.
I found the price to be very reasonable. I am very happy with my new cushions and highly recommend Foam Outlet.

We went to Foam outlet today. We were looking for softer cushions and the owner was 100% honest with us that he most likely wouldnt have what we were looking for. He laughed and congratulated us for being the first people to come in asking for SOFTER cushions, hahaha. SO, why am I giving him a 5 star review? Because he was HONEST, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and FUNNY. Which I appreciate. He didnt yes us to death and sell us something that he knew we would be unhappy with and I TRULEY appreciate that. Not only that, but he spent the time to refer us to someone in the area who may have something more along the lines of softness… he took the time to help us even though he knew he wasnt necessarily going to make a profit off of us. I appreciate that, and in the future, if we need firmer, long lasting cushions, we are SO going back to him. We also plan to refer anyone we know in the future who needs a «couch lift», hahahaha. This place is likely the only establishment providing fast, honest, and affordable cushion replacement for my $ 3000 plus BoConcept couch. We were very hesitant to replace our cushions and also did not want to break the bank. After calling around to compare prices, Foam Outlet offers the lowest rates and their foam seems to be of higher quality compared to our lower density foams.
Location: Foam Outlet is located by the water in a shack-​like building. Don’t let its humble, nautical setting fool you. We thought we were lost until discovering the tiny sign pointing us into a gravel lot filled with boats and people hanging out near the dock. The song «Singing by the Dock of The Bay» came to my mind.
Service and Value: Five stars for honest and friendly service, affordability, and happy buns — thanks to them. A plus is that we didn’t have to wait for weeks since they were able to customize to fit our cushions in about 30 minutes.

I have had an RV sofa bed mattress that was very uncomfortable and an unusual size. I took the mattress to the Foam Outlet since I was close by and Jim, the owner gave me so much information about the density and types of foam that I knew I had come to the right place. He made a new mattress and cushions for my sofa bed while I waited.
All I can say is that sofa bed has never felt so comfortable before and it feels like a real bed!!!
Jim is a craftsman like you don’t often see these days and I would advise anybody who is considering replacing cushions or getting a new mattress — SEE JIM FIRST! YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!

We paid $$ for good furniture but the cushions were too soft after two years — only regret is we put up with it for 7 years before taking our cushions to Foam Outlet. They were not busy when I stopped in, took time to explain everything, gave me a price, used my credit card and waited for 40 minutes. During that time they had at least 4 other customers come in but my order was still done on time! Great family owned business with old school customer service. He marked the cushions with his contact info and what was purchased. Best thing we’ve done for our saggy sofa –better than new.

I always use Unilocal but never write reviews myself, but had to start because of my great experience at the Foam Outlet. A zipper broke on my Jeep Wrangler’s soft top and I couldn’t get the window back on. I searched around online and gave Jim a call and he told me to come by and he would take a look at it! I went and he and his son came right out to help me. They were so great and helpful even though it was a small random job. Great customer service! They really care about their business.

A couple of years ago we bought a beautiful, originally very expensive sofa from my dear Faithful Dining Companion when she bought her first house and it didn’t fit. Darn. The sofa in addition to being very well made is super amazingly comfortable. We paid a bargain price because, well, where was she going to put it? :) Never let it be said I do not take advantage of a bargain.
The sofa has held up well and we really did not want to replace it, however being basically 10 years old, having moved 3 times, been slept on, jumped on, FDC basically spent the last 2 months of her pregnancy on that couch, the cushions became, well, flat.
Enter the Foam Outlet. The Foam Outlet is a pretty nondescript Quonset Hut inside a quiet boat marina along the Delaware river. It’s run by Jim, a one-​man-​band who has been upholstering and cutting foam for well over 20 years, having learned to sew as a Parachute Rigger in the Navy many years ago. Jim is one heckuva nice guy who really knows his foam. I had the opportunity to sit on many different grades of foam and learned about the best uses for each grade. He measured, cut and stuffed my cushions in about 20 minutes, and even let me peek around in his shop as I am a hobby upholsterer.
Not only that, but while I was there I picked up a foam wrap with a vinyl exterior for our steel basement pole that always makes me nervous when the Young ‘Un and his band of Merry Men are bouncing around down there. This will hopefully keep any damage from hitting the pole to the bruise and bump kind. He sells those for $ 1 an inch, so if you’re thinking right now «Wow, I need that!» just measure, call and he’ll have it ready.
I would absolutely recommend Jim and his Foam Outlet for any foam needs — he has machinery that can cut foam to the size of a queen size bed, and he also has shredded foam for giving new life to pillows. He of course does boat upholstery too — that was how he got his start. Super guy.
