This is the best place to rent kayaks/canoes/paddle boards in Estero. The equipment is in great shape and the people are very friendly. Aja was very helpful too!

We just bought our two new Hobie kayaks and couldn’t be happier. First, everyone that works there is so knowledgable and easy to talk with. We’re new to kayaking, having only rented a half dozen times but knew we wanted our own since we moved down here. They were so kind to our questions and helped us with everything we needed and or needed to know. They were with us every step of the way right up to teaching us how to strap them to our vehicle. Very laid back. It’s a family business and there’s no pushy sales tactics. TOTALLYCOMFORTABLEANDHIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!

My husband and I were visiting Ft. Myers for our wedding anniversary and looking for things to do. I was interested in kayaking but had no idea where to go. A waitress at a local restaurant told us about Esturo River and we are so happy we went there. The price is so reasonable and the people who work there are great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We rented a tandem kayak, put in at 11:30, and were done at 2:30. You can keep the kayak all day if you want, but three hours was more than enough for us. We could’ve stayed out there longer, but it’s just so hot and there’s no place to stop and cool off. Definitely make sure you are protected from the sun and bring plenty of beer. As far as wildlife goes, we were of course hoping to see manatee or gator, but we didn’t get that lucky. We did see some turtles though! We only wish the waters were swimmable or that there were some kind of beaches along the way where we could stop and rest. Other than that, we loved the trip and would definitely do it again if we visit the area in the future!

We had used a canoe a couple of times in the past– but this was our first time in a kayak. We rented a tandem sit in style. The people were very helpful– snapped a photo of us, and told us where to go. We had a great time, and we were amazed at how easy the kayaks are to maneuver. We saw a couple of manatees, and a banded water snake. We went mid day. We went To the right first, then on the way back continued down to Koreshan area. Very beautiful area. We will be back again.

We rented two single kayaks and had a wonderful three hour paddle. The water was easy to paddle thru, lots to see including a possible gator and turtle spotting. The people that run the place are knowledgeable and very nice. The whole experience was such fun!

Every time we have family in town we take them here to rent kayaks. I have never had a bad experience. The employees are so nice and happy! The latest trip my cousin was on leave from his base in GA. Once they saw he was active duty military they gave him a fantastic discount too :) Would always recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been here around a dozen times or so, and every time has been awesome. The staff is always super nice and helpful, and the price is pretty decent. You can rent a kayak for $ 17.00 for two hours, and for just another 10 bucks you can upgrade to all day. My most recent trip was just a short one, about an hour and a half, but still just as fun as always! We encountered an alligator*, around 5 feet or so, just 6 feet from us, which was the coolest and scariest thing I’ve ever seen. In retrospect i wish I had taken a picture of it, but my fight-or-flight instincts kicked in and I got the hell out of there! I highly recommend this place, but make sure to bring a cooler full of beer with you! Always a great time with a group of friends! *Alligator sighting not guaranteed with rental of kayak, author assumes no responsibilities for disappointments lol

Great place to go kayaking/boating, away from the tourist traps of the nearby beaches. Lots of options to choose from, so if you’re a beginner or an avid kayaker, chances are you’ll find a good fit for you. My frustration with the people who worked there was that they charged us for certain kayaks(paid for 2 hours), but when we got outside, the man pulling the boats told us he had run out of the ones we wanted and only had ones left that cost more. He made us go back inside and pay an addition $ 5 on top of the $ 25ish we had already spent. Not the end of the world… but I feel like they should have either told us from the start they were out of the ones they wanted… or not charged us the extra money. Other than that, the people who work there were friendly and helpful and clearly know their stuff when it comes to the best rentals for your skill level.

These guys are great, very knowledgable, helpful and experts on kayaking/canoeing. They have a great selection of kayaks and accessories, and they had just what we needed. Great place to launch a kayak for an 8 hour paddle, or an hour rental. Thanks guys!
