Open Air Adventure Park

My 9 year old son had a blast! Spent over an hour cruising the obstacles and daring heights.
For $ 35 I think it was definitely worth it. He got great instruction at the beginning. It helped him feel safe and calm his fears.
There were staff on every level to assist. But I would say they were not always concentrating on their guests and too into their conversations with one another.
This place is rather new and looks like they are continuously making addictions to their site. There is some seating benches and a couple picnic tables for observers. Could use some landscaping.
Where you pay is a little cabin with restrooms, drinks and a few souvenirs.

Very creative activity for kids and adults, this is one of those things that we weren’t sure if it was a tourist trap or a fun experience, it is definitely the latter of the 2. The reason it is good for adults is because it really tests your balance skills which is probably tougher for the adults than the kids. Well worth it!!!

This a must stop if you have children that love to climb! My son was in heaven and my daughter overcame her fear of heights! They asked, no, begged to come back here a second time. The guides are kid friendly and very capable! So glad we did this, a definite highlight for any vacation!

Great fun for the kids! I didn’t do it but they had a blast. It’s $ 33 for 90 minutes, but they never really kicked us off because it was slow and rainy I guess. Don’t know, but I appreciated it.
There are green, blue, and black diamond courses and two levels. So there’s something for those who are fearless and those not so. There are 4 zip lines throughout as well that were a favorite for my kids. The workers were very helpful and kind when the kids got scared or stuck somewhere.
Good fun when you want a break from hiking!

Great and challenging place to test what you are made of. Will you face your fears or go cowering in the corner like a little child? This 3D obstacle course is made of 2 tiers of a combination of easy, which was marked in green to medium, blue, to hard, which was marked in black. The course includes simple tightrope walking to very hard leaping from platform to platform that swivel and swing back and forth. Although you wear a harness and are secured to a metal cable throughout the entire course, it still is pretty frightening. If you seek a thrill to escape the mundane boringness of everyday life, then this place is for you!

Lots of fun for everyone. Some of the obstacles are challenging but still a lot of fun. Great views from the chair up on the 2^nd level of the course. Gives your arms a good workout too!

I went up to Open Air Adventure Park in Estes last weekend with some friends and it was an insanely beautiful day and a super fun activity in sunny Colorado. We pulled into the parking lot and I saw the course already had a bunch of people on it having a blast… lots of people of all ages even little kids!
We didn’t have to wait at all before we were harnessed up, through ground school, and up on the course. I was nervous, and I CAN NOT believe this, but there are 35 elements to the course and I did them all! I can’t even do a pull up and I am SO out of shape and feeling weak and I thought I’d definitely have to pass up a lot of the elements up but I surprised myself. It was a great experience.
Our group had a blast going through everything and (when invited) being challenged by the staff to make it harder and more challenging. They were really encouraging and friendly too which helped make our day fun too! My favorite part of the course was the old chair lift at the top where you can rest and enjoy a great view of the valley.
I have to say more about this… The staff were SO nice and knowledgeable. I hate to go to the gym because of the environment which can sometimes be really intimidating. The course didn’t feel like that AT ALL. The staff assured us that if we needed it, they would be there to rescue/​help etc. but really just kept encouraging.
Another cool part of the day for me was getting passed up by this 62 year old woman at the top level of the course. I thought I was really doing great until she came flying up to me… she literally did the zip line 30 ft above the ground and was flying at me. It was great to see that people of all ages and skill levels can come and enjoy the park. I can’t wait to bring my family back.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun day trip from Denver/​Colorado Springs/​Boulder/​Fort Collins… or an activity while in town on retreat or just passing through. It was a beautiful drive (we had lunch at Moon Kats
and it was delicious!), lots and lots of fun at the park and were back in time for dinner in Denver.
Go do this! You will love it!

Totally awesome. Great family fun for our 10, 13 and 20 year old girls (and 40-​something me). Very professional staff. Great emphasis on safety. Great value with coupon or without.

We took our three kids here (ages 8, 12 and 16) this weekend while we were visiting Estes Park. Kids had a blast, even the 16 year old! Staff was very helpful and did a good job explaining everything before the kids hit the course. The course itself is a good mix of both hard and easier features so there is something for everyone. It has two levels so those who are looking for even more of a thrill can climb up to the top level. Great new addition… highly recommend!
