7-Eleven

Walked in and this location seemed very empty. They didn’t even have Funyuns so I walked right out and drove to the 7 – 11 on 13^th & Alder.

7−11s are lifesavers. When you see the sign, you know you’ve got a place to pick up emergency supplies, magazines, or cash (thank goodness for that Citibank ATM!).
While we were staying at the hotel next door, I found this 7 – 11 to be handy for late night snacks. I went for some nuts and squeezable fruit pouches while my darling lumberjack found some spicy dried squid snacks that made his breath squid-​y. The beers we also picked up did little to mask the smell.
Before we tucked in for the night, my beloved discovered that he’d lost his phone charger. I re-​assured him that all would be well and that he’d find replacement chargers in the middle aisle near the travel shampoos. He doubted me briefly but set off, returning triumphantly with a replacement phone charger.
… and so, with the exception of the squid breath, all went back to being right with the world. Hooray for 7 – 11!
