C’est La Vie Inn

My new husband and I celebrated part of our honeymoon at C’est La Vie and we had a wonderful stay. The owners are such nice people and the breakfast they made us both mornings was absolutely delicious! When we checked in they told us about local bars and restaurants and guided us in the right direction for a great stay in Eugene. The bedrooms were comfortable and a good size. When we booked they automatically upgraded us when they heard it was our honeymoon.

What an absolute gem. Jack, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. The Monet room was quite comfortable with a king bed and a beautiful bathroom. In addition, the homemade breakfast was EXCELLENT!
We are already making plans to return when we can spend some more time there.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is gorgeous, and the breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed talking with Jack who is very friendly and generous. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful treat to stay at this bed and breakfast with its beautiful detailed renovations, gorgeous antiques, and exquisite Victorian gardens! Jack obviously really enjoys entertaining his guests with stories and information. Two suggestions: new mattresses would provide more comfortable rest at night and change breakfast bread one day to next.

This place is exactly what I had in mind when you say renovated Victorian B&B. It is exquisite from top to bottom, inside & out!!! We stayed there for 3 nights & hated to leave. We couldn’t have paid for a better breakfast! Jack the innkeeper is adorable, showing us around & treating us each morning for breakfast. 5 stars. Yes yes yes go for vacation & stay a few days, you won’t regret it :) :)

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Did I say wonderful? This cute french style home located in Eugene, OR was one of the best places I have ever stayed. The couple that run the place have everything decorated perfectly. The room was HUGE and felt like home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The room was very modern but with an old world flare that just made the whole experience so much fun! The breakfast was delicious and they were very generous with their offerings of cookies, coffee, tea and bottled water. You must check out their miniature train set in the beautifully decorated garden. My husband I stayed here one night while on our honeymoon but we wish we would of stayed longer. We will be back for our anniversary!

Reserved the Gauguin room for our short stay. Jack upgraded us to the Matisse at no extra charge when we arrived. We are B&B hounds, having stayed at them around the world, we always have high expectations and C’est La Vie did not disappoint! Jack is an excellent host, with boundless information about the region as well as a sharer of many stories. The bed was incredible as was our stay. You will not find a better place in Eugene.

Jack and Anne-​Marie have certainly done a wonderful job with the historical preservation of this Victorian beauty. The 2 story 4 room bed and breakfast set in a French theme creates a stunning personal retreat or a romantic getaway. For added privacy ask for the honeymoon suite that sits atop the carriage house separate from the residence. It’s Queen Anne architecture showcases the distinct attributes of a home worthy of royalty. The inside of the honeymoon suite is set in an Art Deco 1930’s era and has a scenic overlook of the meticulously kept and catalogued garden. The property is situated in a residentially zoned section of the town and has restaurants available within walking distance. Jack the Inn Keeper will make your stay enjoyable offering you info on the area and tips to maximize your experiences.

Wife child and I had our first B&B experience here and the bar is set high. There is adequate parking along the street, the whole property is very well taken care of, and we were lucky to visit while there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. we’re already thinking about bringing others and staying longer than one night — hanging out in the garden and watching the train set chug along all day.

This is a fascinating little B&B in Eugene. We stayed here on our last night of a cross country road trip coming all the way from SC. We had two dogs and a cat with us, and we stayed in the Casablanca suite. The home is immaculate. From the intricately detailed exterior craftsmanship, to the perfect landscaping, to the antique furnishings inside, you can tell that great care has been taken in perfecting the experience. The Casablanca suite was really cozy and comfortable, but large, with a nice jacuzzi tub and a gas fireplace. It even had heated floor tiles in the bathroom, which was very nice because the temperature was in the 20s while we were there. Jack was a great host. Anne Marie was out of town while we visited. They also have four cats, and we got to meet one of them which vaguely resembled Grumpy cat of Internet fame. Great stay, we will try to come back in the future!

We stayed in the Casablanca suite for 2 nights during our Oregon honeymoon roadtrip; one of the nights we used a LivingSocial deal. The room itself was wonderful and very cozy! Breakfast tasted wonderful both days.
Our issues:
The Wifi was horribly slow
The first morning our breakfast was delivered half an hour late, at which time I had to run off to make my massage appointment
The second morning we were expecting our breakfast to be delivered to the suite as it had been the first morning, but we were told an hour and a half later that breakfast is only delivered the first morning? We didn’t know why this wasn’t explained to us earlier but it was a little annoying and confusing.
Other than those issues, we had a cozy and enjoyable stay.

The garden is beautifully done by owner Jack. His wife Anne Marie is very sweet and accomodating. They’ve lovingly restored this victorian property and it’s done very tastefully. The rooms have plenty of room, décor is nice, premises are very clean. We stayed in the Monet and found it to be a cozy room. The breakfasts were delicious and Anne Marie accomodated for our dietary needs. Priced very reasonably, we enjoyed our stay and planned ot be back.

If there is a better B&B in Eugene I would love to see it! This Inn has being lovingly restored, with a tastefully built carriage house added on. We were lucky enough to stay in that suite and it was both spacious and luxurious.
The Innkeepers are great hosts, with Jack more than happy to give you a tour of his gardens, while Anne Marie will give you some great recommendations for dinner.
Be sure to go to King Estate winery for lunch while you are in Eugene. The food and wines are delicious. The view is hard to beat too!

This inn was lovingly and meticulously restored. The house was FANTASTIC. Anne Marie and Jack have done am absolutely amazing job. The decorating is done very well, the antiques are astonishing, the bed was so comfortable, the gardens were like walking through a botanical garden, the plants all have individual name tags, and the miniature garden complete with trains was adorable. Breakfast was lovely, the hosts nice as pie. This is definitely the place to stay in Eugene. Look it up, I swear you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely vegan breakfast including fabulous muffins from Sweet Life, fresh fruit, juice, strong coffee, and a great tofu scramble. Our host was charming, offered many suggestions for dining around town, and delighted in telling us about the garden he has put considerable work into (including a sheltered, enclosed «playground» for the indoor kitties who reside in the hosts’ private apartment.
Stayed in the gorgeous «Monet» room and definitely look forward to a return visit when the weather is warmer and the garden in bloom!
