History

Established in 2010.

McKenzie Martial Arts staff has been teaching all over Lane County for the past 20 years. We have been teaching classes and seminars for a number of organizations/​groups: Downtown Athletic Club, Eugene Swim and Tennis, Looking Glass, University of Oregon, Eugene Fire Dept, and Women’s Safety Seminars just to name a few.

The demand for our style of training became evident that we needed our own facility. In 2010 McKenzie Martial Arts was formed and became the first school to teach SAFE, FUN and REALISTIC training for every member of a family.

MMA is the first school in the Pacific Northwest to be certified by the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Headquarters in California. We are also recognized as the only Jeet Kune Do/​Kali (Descendants of the Masters) school in the State of Oregon.

Coach Adam was recently named a Blue Chip Award Winner by being one of the top 20 Under 40 promising business leaders. His dedication to empowering our community through martial arts and fitness training for all ages has made MMA the #1 Martial Arts school in Lane County.

McKenzie Martial Arts holds Women Empowerment Classes and free workshops throughout the year. Coach Adam is also a Certified Gracie Bullyproof Instructor and offers scholarships to less fortunate youth who need the confidence to do positive things in their life.
