Scan Design Furniture

My wife and spent close to $ 10,000 at this store for new furniture when we moved to Eugene in late 2009. One item was a dining room table and six chairs. Recently, one chair actually gave out underneath a guest in our home for dinner — a woman of normal weight. One leg actually cracked and gave way. On examining the other five chairs, we found that one of the four legs had a dowel that was showing and separated in the same spot spot on each chair, which indicates the glue process on this location was faulty at the factory. We went back to Scan Design and were told we only had a one year warranty and they would do nothing for us.
This table and chairs were very expensive. You would think that Scan Design would have some clout with the factory because of the nature of the defect. They didn’t even contact them.
We purchased locally as we try to do with most of our buying so that if a problem develops, a quality business interested in their reputation will usually help even if the warranty has expired. The process is usually much easier if the business is local.
The true value of a business shows when a problem develops. They either help or they don’t care and it’s all about getting your money and … good luck!
We’re moving to another home in the next year or two and what furniture we purchase won’t be from Scan Design.

Great selection and quality. Service is top notch. Wait ess than a week for delivery. A great source for modern, quality furnishings in Eugene.

Basically a showroom and then you wait for MONTHS for pieces to arrive. The furniture is great, but be warned about the grueling amount of time it may take for your purchase to arrive. We waited almost five months for our bed and night stands to arrive. And then one of the nightstands was damaged and they no longer do business with the supplier!
The delivery guys are great and they set everything up nicely and are courteous.

This place sells sleek, fine furniture. It is rather spendy for some items, but if you want quality, you’ll find it here.
They are wonderful with assisting you in making decisions, have a friendly staff and timely deliveries.
Only drawback, parking downtown!
