I was stood up 2 times after making an appointment. No one called me to reschedule, and the girl wouldn’t answer her phone. I waited for 30 min both times before I left. Never coming here again!

Rebecca was a sweet girl but very very unprofessional. She called and rescheduled my appoint over four times which was really upsetting and beyond irresponsible. She’s damaged my natural eyelashes in the process of doing my eyelash extensions, she was very rough and even got stuff in my eye and I could feel her plucking out eyelashes after complaining that I had too many! The glue was also burning my eyes which is not suppose to happen at all she used way too much glue and glued a lot of my lashes together making it impossible to brush them out! They felt irritated and already started to fall out after a couple day and weren’t even. The actual lashes were very stiff and hard almost like plastic and didn’t feel like natural ones at all, very cheap and not what I was expecting. Eyelash extensions are not suppose to feel uncomfortable. She also glued more than one lash per natural lash instead of doing them all individually she left a lot of my natural lashes without any lashes glued to them and they stuck down or curled in weird ways. And after going to another professional they said they were not put on properly they didn’t look professionally done and I had to have them removed. All of my lashes are almost gone now! I do not recommend eyelash extensions from her, however she was very sweet and understanding and refunded my money and gave me a gift certificate when I expressed my concerns.

As you can see in more recent reviews I am not the only client who complained of the unsanitary conditions and lack of professionalism and care for her business.
Mink eyelashes are specifically to be applied individually to each individual eyelash! Not a cluster which would create pulling and clumps. Here is a link to a website with common questions or concerns regarding eyelash extensions…

I have done plenty of research and had enough experience with eyelash extensions to know what you’re doing is wrong and if you were certified you should take a picture and post it to the Internet.
Also you answered your personal cell phone during my appointment, it has been months later and I still remember how unprofessional you were! Making excuses and trying to make a customer feel bad for informing the public what a horrible service you offer, is not how successful businesses are run.
I continue to warn future customers of yours all the time what a horrible business you run. The only thing that would be good about going to brow bar is Amber Green for nails!
Other than that stay away looks like she’s still a young careless business owner and I hope that they close soon!

While Rebecca is a very sweet and customer friendly person, I will never have my eyelash extensions done by her salon again. First of all, the environment is not very relaxing at all, when I go to a salon, I like to relax, being a single mom of 4, it is the only time I get to. Anyway, when I first had them done, her dog, who is very cute btw would not stop barking. Don’t get me wrong, I love animals but having them bark at customers while you are trying to get your eyelash extensions done is not ok. I had a bad feeling about the place the very moment I walked in, Rebecca was late to her appt with me. Anyway, I am not one to complain about the little things but it was not very professional in my opinion, especially since she is the owner. During the process my eyes burned from the glue application which is not suppose to happen. I also felt rushed out of there after the procedure and she didn’t take the time to explain to me how to take care of them instead she gave me a piece of paper with instructions and sent me on my way. For the next few weeks, I went in about 4 times to have them filled because I was having problems with them. On my last visit to her I noticed that they were becoming red, itchy and swollen. I took good care of them combing them and washing any make up off every night etc. I told Rebecca about it and I knew that she could see that they were swollen and crusty but she didn’t really seem to think it was a big deal and just added more lashes to them. I had a big trip to SF planned and I was so upset by my eyelash situation. Needless to say, I have since let them all fall off including my natural lashes and finally after 2 months I have my natural lashes back. I am going to have my lashes done again but by reputable salon in the area. I have heard very good things about this place and anyone that is thinking about getting eyelash extensions done, I highly recommend you do your research first before you go, it is not one to take lightly.

I’d like to start by saying that my eyebrows look great after getting waxed by Rebecca. She was very good at knowing what could be done to them and made them look really nice. It’s actually one of the best wax jobs I’ve ever gotten, which is why I’m giving her two stars. But I had two major issues, and one of them really, really sucked.
My first problem is that there was no sterilization. She never wiped my eyebrows with any disinfectant, and while it might not be state law (or maybe it is?) it’s law to me — and every other waxing place I’ve been to. The wax also caused a very small portion of the skin underneath my eyebrow to bleed, which she seemed to ignore. Obviously it was small, but it was still there and deserved at least a cotton ball of disinfectant or something. Overall, if I’m going to go expose raw (bleeding!) skin to the elements, I want it clean. That also might have prevented my very serious second problem.
I broke out after getting waxed — or so I originally thought. I’d never broken out before and naturally turned down the Benadryl ointment which she politely offered, so at first I assumed it was my fault. But after a few days of having a red streak underneath my right eyebrow, I actually took a serious look at it and realized that it wasn’t breaking out that made it red and dry (almost flakey). THERE WAS STILL WAX THERE. Sticky, crusty wax that I then had to spend twenty minutes peeling off of my face. It was painful, and now there’s the potential for scarring. I don’t even know if I’ve gotten all of it completely off.
I get that everyone has off-​days, and if it hadn’t been for the leftover wax I wouldn’t have complained on something as public as this. But I’m not cool with this red streak across my eye that’s going to be there for God knows how long, and I’m not cool with risking an infection just to get my brows done.

This is my new FAVORITE SALON in Humboldt! Rebecca does a great job waxing and she’s totally sweet and fun to be around. She’s also really helpful with scheduling and went out of her way to fit me in at the last minute. Got a great pedicure, too. Highly recommend!

Rebecca does an excellent Brazilian and I’m very happy with my lash extensions. Shop is conveniently located in old town and she’s good about working around your schedule. There’s also an excellent acrylic nail tech there (haven’t experienced her personally, but I’ve seen her work).

Needed a brow and bikini wax and didn’t want to go to some fancy high end salon and pay for sub par service. I called the Brow Bar and I was able to get an appointment the next day with Rebecca. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a thorough bikini wax using hard wax which I prefer. She then carefully shaped and waxed my eyebrows. Pricing was definitely reasonable for the services provided. I have lived all over the US and I can attest that Rebecca is skilled at what she does. I will definitely be a regular and am eager to try the other services offered.

I’m updating my review because I got the opportunity to experience some of the services that The Brow Bar offers. I got ahold of the owner, Rebecca, who apologized both over the phone and in-​person for the incident that I went over in my last review.
Overall, I found Rebecca to be very knowledgeable and professional about beauty methods and brow care. We discussed the pros and cons of waxing vs threading, and she explained different methods of filling in brows after she waxed mine. She demonstrated knowledge of how to deal with a variety of brow types and what products would work best for each. Overall, I had a brow wax, consultation, and fill-​in. She was quick and knowledge, friendly and professional.
Owning a small business is not easy and sometimes things go awry, but the professional way of handling these mishaps make all the difference and I think Rebecca did a great job at this.

Love this place! I have been here for nails, waxes, and eyelash extensions and loved them all. The prices are the best in town and your eyebrows will look better than ever! Go get your wax and get a stamp card! Ps– go see Rebecca!

Here in Eureka just visiting, I was in need of of a Brazilian wax, walked by the brow bar Rebecca was busy, called the next day, on her day off I was able to get a fast, clean, Brazilian wax. She also threaded my brows, cleaned them up but did not shape them

I am so glad this is here! As someone who moved up here from southern California, where these kinds of businesses and services are common, I couldn’t believe how difficult it was to find these sorts services in a salon up here. The Brow Bar is fresh, clean, and a great start up. Rebecca is wonderful, and if you’re looking for a wax fast, done well, don’t hesitate to come here.
