Shane’s Rib Shack

This is one of our favorite quick restaurants. We get the chicken tenders, chopped chicken, or pulled pork. We have even had them cater events and have always been pleased. You leave full and the price is very affordable. The staff and owners are some of the friendliest, caring people around. They always make you feel welcome and like a regular who gets special attention.

This has to be one of the best Bar-​b-​que restaurants in this area. Was there for Mother’s Day! We enjoyed everything we tried. One of my sons had the chicken wrap (yummy!!) The chop pork was great. No fat in the pork sandwich

Our family has been to Shane’s a number of times since late 2013, and it seems like the food and service have slipped just a little. They still have great ribs, delicious sauces, etc., and the kids still love coming here, but you can ultimately find better meats and BBQ elsewhere in town. Most definitely still worth a visit if you’re nearby and crazing some BBQ, though.

Shane’s has got to be my favorite bbq in the CSRA! From the consistency of the food every time I visit to the customer service of the cashiers to the owner always being in running the restaurant, I am just always pleased. Have not had a bad experience here yet! Five stars for food quantity and taste!

We have been there many times most times it had been good but not only was it tough they didn’t care!

He said well … Depends on who cooks them! Didn’t offer to replace them or any adjustment. It was just matter of fact !

My favorite BBQ in the area! Get the pulled chicken it’s so good and the prices are affordable! We go here just about once a week!

Great place! Good value and excellent quality. good for groups with 6 people or less. The dining area would not accommodate larger groups. There is outdoor seating, but that is worthless during the summer months in GA. This is my favorite BBQ place in the state.

So, I was in the mood for a pork sandwich so I decided to give this place another try. Although the pork was much better this time, as I sat in the dining room eating, one of the staff members came out with one of the empty, metal tea containers. But inside of the tea container, she had put the metal ring from the garbage can. She tool the ring or and placed it back on the garbage can then proceeded to brew tea in the container. Glad I don’t really drink tea but makes me question the sanitation of the whole establishment.

My wife had the Big Daddy and it was good.
Servings of sides were huge.
They did make a mistake on one of the sides bringing the wrong item, but it was corrected quickly when pointed out.
The ribs were very tough, in my opinion not cooked long enough, there was even some bloody stuff near the bone on some and lots of fat.
I like ribs falling off the bone, these were quite a chew to remove the meat.
I won’t be going back, at least not for ribs.

Our favorite is the Big Daddy sandwich. My husband and I can split one, add on a potato salad and be satisfied. We crave these sandwiches. They are so good!

Shack sampler is my choice. It has everything that suits my appetite from a half a slab to your choice of either pulled pork or chicken. Tenders dropped in any sauce (I usually get Lemon pepper) along with two sides, your meal is complete.

Shane’s Rib Shack catered my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding on April 18, 2015 and let me tell you, Kellie and her crew were fantastic. I have been to many catered events and this food surpassed them all. I would have bet money that they were cooking that food fresh on site. Everything, down to the macaroni and cheese, was tasty, expertly prepared and fresh. The fixin’s were perfectly displayed and more than enough. They even packaged all the leftovers for our after party back at the hotel. We munched on yummy BBQ until the wee hours of the morning and still it was yummy. I would highly recommend Kellie and Shane’s for your next catered event! Thank you so much, Kellie and Crew ;D

So… came here after the disappointment of walking into Maryland Fried Chicken and smelling nothing, only to order food here that basically tasted like nothing. First time so we got the Sampler — tough, tasteless, ribs, pulled pork — not bad, a little mushy for my personal taste, green beans fresh… out of the can, NOT even Bush’s baked beans, and these perfectly fried, golden-​browned chicken tenders that tasted just like air.
The tea was good though; enough to earn its own star.

I have been here a few times and customer service is excellent. Food is great, their fries could use a little more salt, if I wanted to be little picky. Great portions and a wonderful place to bring the family.

Out of all the rib chains in the country Shanes is the best. You get a taste and quality that is very surprising and one that you are use to at one of the small hometown mom and pops. The food portions are massive and it makes you wonder if they made a mistake in how much they gave you. I ordered a sampler and could not finish it all. Shane 1 Shawn 0. Still I did win because it was so good and I have some leftovers I will be enjoying later today. It is old school southern food and fixings and make sure you try each of their sauces.

Even though there are plenty Shane’s around the towns I frequent, I’ve never eaten at one. I stopped in for lunch just before noon on a week day. Business was steady– but the place was not packed. They have indoor and outdoor dining.
I had the Big Dad plate with green beans. It was a large portion of the pulled pork served on two slices of Texas toast. I would have liked the toast a little toastier. As with a lot of places lately I was surprised at how small my side of veggies was– a small styrofoam cup. If I had ordered fries is that the same portion size I would have gotten? It was pretty tiny! I used the Carolina Mustard Sauce for my BBQ, and it was very good.
Summing it up– the food was good, I’d come again. Loss of stars for small side portion and for cashier who seemed like she couldn’t care less about being there.

I love Shanes Rib Shack. Definitely one of my go to restaurants for quick bbq. It’s always delicious.

I think I need to order something other than chicken. Both times I did not care for my meal. First time I ordered BBQ chicken plate with potato salad and baked beans. The chicken was my least favorite. It seemed dry despite being soaked in BBQ sauce. The potato salad and baked beans were good.
The second time I went in, I ordered grilled chicken tenders and potato salad. The chicken was hard and dry. It seemed old and not fresh. The potato salad was good/​average.
While waiting for my food, I noticed the most popular order was the «big dad.» Which is BBQ pork.
Anyway, I will check out more BBQ places. But, this is not my favorite. Doesn’t seem fresh.

Good food, alright environment. When you walk in, it seems as is you are expected to order right away, which is a bit intimidating. When we went there, they were out of wings, so we didn’t get to try them. I had the pulled pork sandwich (no bread) with the ‘smothered’ cole slaw on the side and fries. The pork was delicious and I loved that you could add your choice of 4 sauces on it (all which are gluten free). My fiancé had the roasted chicken salad sandwich and really liked it. Come with an empty belly, serving sizes are big!

Decent food. Clean, friendly and casual atmosphere. I had the smothered pork sandwich… which is smothered in cole slaw… NOT a sauce. Still good, but hard to eat. I ordered the fried okra as a side. very good, and a good size serving… I couldn’t finish it all! The husband ordered the pork plate with mac n cheese & baked beans as his sides. Both sides where very good… the mac and cheese was especially good! I wish I would have gotten that rather than the okra.
It’s a serve yourself type of place, they do bring your food to your table, but you clean up and throw your own trash away. The food is pretty expensive, but you do get a lot. We paid $ 21 for 2 people.
