What women doesn’t want clothes, shoes, purses and accessories from name brands at a fraction of the price? Unfortunately I am not a women, so the deals for me are not that expansive here, but I still browse around while my wife gets stuck in their web of deals.
I have scored a few deals at Uptown Cheapskate on dress shirts, since they have Polo branded gear for around $ 25. My wife has picked up a few dresses, some small clutches and some shirts without breaking the bank. It’s not a bad option for a tight budget or last minute «wardrobe change.»

This place is way better than the Plato’s Closet in town. I brought in a very large bag of clothes, shoes, and accessories, and they went through it in a very reasonable time. I looked around the store while they went through my clothes and found a cute sweater. I even got 10% off for being a first time customer. They also offer a military discount. They finished with my stuff, gave me a descent amount for the items they wanted for the store, gave me what they didn’t buy, and i went on my merry way. From the time I entered the store, until I left, everyone was very nice, but still professional. Didn’t see anyone standing around song nothing, but they all seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Great place to go to buy and sell clothes!

Other than the lack of parking spaces, Uptown Cheapskates is awesome.
Everything is color coded and by size. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. A lot of the clothing line that I’ve run through in the store surprised me. More than I thought. Brands like Hollister and American Eagle pop up here and there.
Overall I recommend this store f you’re looking for style and affordability.

Just wanted to give a big shout out to Uptown Cheapskate. They were so friendly! Each time I have visited the staff was so friendly and went out of their way to help. I love the positive atmosphere created by the people that work there. The merchandise was not exactly what I was looking for (I had a 40’s style costume party to go to), but I will be back.

I LOVE this place. I think I was there for the grand opening and not a month goes by that I don’t stop in to check out the goods. Its definitely worth it to stop in when they have sales; I got a Zara dress, with the original $ 80 price tag still attached, for $ 4!!!
I’ve sold some stuff as well, don’t both with any designer stuff, they just can’t give you good money for it. I always get store credit and spend it in my first trip.
I wish they’d expand the men’s section — my boyfriend and I spend a lot of time going through the racks and only coming out with 1 – 2 items.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AND NEVER PUT ANYTHING ON CONSIGNMENT HERE! Back in August 2013, I put some expensive brown boots on consignment here at uptown, and consignment means that the store tries to sell them for you, asks what price you want to sell them for, then agrees to give you half once the item has been sold, then they are SUPPOSED to call you and let you know once they have sold. My shoes were sold on December 31, 2013 and I promise you no one ever contacted me, and told me a damn thing. They just took their half and kept it moving! I just curiously called today to check on my shoes and to see if I could just sell them to the store instead of continuing consignment. So, the girl I spoke with on the phone name Ashley, told me that my shoes had been sold on December 31! I asked her why no one tried to contact me and tell me anything and she stated that she did not know that information because it was inside her manager’s office, and she also told me I had to wait 30 days to get my check when I shouldn’t have to because its been 2 months! So I asked to speak to the manager (Shelly), and she came on the phone and told me that she didn’t know what happened but there was a problem, and she was going to call me back at 1 p.m. Long story short, I have not received my money yet, and this is poor business. They said that the check was mailed on Jan 3^rd and it had not been cleared in the system, but obviously not because I have not received it yet and they must’ve got my address wrong or something because I’ve been staying here for years! I really needed that money because I had been out of work for months and I am not receiving any government assistance! Very poor business and terrible leadership. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THEM BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT YOU!

This store is 85 – 90 percent for women. I had a few pants that I wanted to sell to them and because they were professionally hemmed they wouldn’t take them, they did say my pants we’re in very good condition but because they were all hemmed they won’t take them. Never coming back, they’re just as bad as game stop

Okay, I’m obsessed. Why haven’t I been shopping here!
As soon as you walk in you’re given a friendly greeting which is a pleasant change from the scowls you’d receive at Plato’s Closet. They have a ton of everything, and it’s sorted by type, size, and color. Makes shopping a breeze!
The fitting rooms are spacious and well lit, the attendant was cool.
I went during a huge sale they had, so I received a ton of discounts on my stuff that was already cheap (they have military discount too), and got a free nail polish! Cute.
If you don’t take a bag for your stuff then you get a little token to put into a charity box, and they’ll donate the cost of the bag to that charity.
Great shopping experience from beginning to end, can’t wait to go back.

I decided to try my luck again today at this store and the process was perfect. I didn’t have to wait in a long line… I was quickly processed and sent on my way. So they get that extra star I didn’t give them in my first review. I love hassle-​free shopping!!!
