For 34 years Frame Warehouse has specialized in hard to frame items such as fabrics, vintage posters, jerseys, fine photography, paintings, architectural artifacts and the unusual. We frame for the home and office and we do the framing for major institutions all over Chicagoland including hospitals, universities and a major league sports team. We have framed Frank Lloyd Wright drawings, Louis Sullivan iron work, antique silk kimonos and carved wooden idols from the Congo. History

Established in 1980.

Frame Warehouse began in Oak Park, Illinois framing for people in Oak Park, Chicago, River Forest, Berwyn, Cicero and Forest Park. It quickly grew to be the place for institutional framing as well, doing work for all the local schools and hospitals in the area. In 2001 they began offering painting restoration and cleaning, frame repair and part replacement at reasonable prices. In 2006 they opened the Evanston location and quickly grew to be able offer the same services to the North Shore. Customers come from as far away as Waukegan for their fine service.

Business Owner

Paul Hamer was born and raised in Oak Park, Il. and founded Hamer Guitars in 1974. He built guitars for bands as diverse as Cheap Trick, The Beatles, The Who, Jethro Tull, Police and the Ramones. After selling his company to an east coast Fortune 500 company he moved back to Oak Park and began doing custom framing. The same quality and dedication to customer service that he established with Hamer Guitars is available to each and every customer at Frame Warehouse. He is fortunate to work with the most dedicated staff and to have found with Marian Herman a perfect store manager for the Evanston Frame Warehouse location.
