Imprint Movement Studio is a fully equipped Pilates studio located in the heart of Evanston. We offer a full range of Pilates instruction, from beginner to advanced.

Our private Pilates instruction can be tailored to address rehabilitation, sports specific training, and pregnancy. We also offer Pilates group equipment and mat classes for those who enjoy working out in a small group setting.

Our certified instructors use all of the resources of our fully equipped studio to provide you with a challenging workout. As part of comprehensive approach to body movement, we also offer massage and physical therapy by appointment.

I take 2 private lessons a week at this studio as well as attend their group classes when time permits. It is a beautiful space with all updated equipment and is walking distance to the El or Metra so I’m able to schedule my lesson right before/​after work. I’ve been very impressed with the knowledge and skill of each instructor and my core strength and balance has never been better. No matter what mood I’m in when I arrive at Imprint, I always feel better in body and mind when I leave.

Imprint Movement is everything I want in a pilates studio. Intimate, smaller classes, no distractions, hands on instructors who are body aware and care about what they are teaching. I am very pleased with what the founder has created! Lane is a wonderful instructor, whom I have had the privilege to learn from over the past couple years, and the rest of the Imprint teachers are right on target! Everyone is a great fit to this wonderful establishment!

Full disclosure — I have not been to this location as it is in the ‘burbs and well, I avoid the suburbs whenever possible. BUT… I can say that Lane was my pilates instructor for over two years at a different studio before leaving there to open Imprint and she is amazing. No doubt about it… she kicked my ass. But she kept me coming back for more because she made it fun. Lane is not just a seriously skilled instructor, she is a very entertaining person as well. She knows just how hard to push you to make sure you see results but lets you work at the pace that’s right for you. Whether you are new to pilates or an experienced uh, pilatier? I cannot recommend Lane highly enough.
