Pets Like Us

I have personally used Pets Like Us for some holiday petsitting and can enthusiastically recommend them. Not only were Tatiana and Rob incredibly friendly, they were super-​responsive (so good for nervous pet owners!) and sent daily updates on how our cat was doing. Very trustworthy and their rates are extremely reasonable!

I used Pets Like Us for about 5 – 6 months when my puppy Franklin was between the ages of 3 months up until the time when I felt like he could be at home during the work day. I found Tatiana to be extremely professional and flexible. She sent out invoices at the beginning of each month and always had the proper credits included (credits received from days that I could have walked Franklin myself). She was very easy to reach via phone and text and always let me know right away if there were any issues. It was great coming home everyday and seeing the daily reports that were left on my desk. I’d for sure use her again (except that my fiancé and I moved to Buffalo Grove). Pets Like Us has my highest recommendations.

I have not used pets like us personally, I own the happy husky bakery in Evanston. People come into our store all the time asking for recommendations of dog walkers/​pet sitters, etc. We also have customers come into our store and share their experiences with the same. We hear bad and good stories. Pets like us has received many glowing reports from our customers. We have literally not gotten any bad reports on their business. Now that we’ve moved into Mt Prospect, we still use Tatiana and Rob’s services. We can’t say enough great things about them and their company and our we always know our cat’s in great care.

This service is the best I have ever used. (Dog or otherwise!!) I can tell Tatiana and Rob truly love my dogs by the way they interact with one another. They take excellent care of our dogs AND our home. My husband was home when Tatiana came today and he was blown away that she took the time and care to put shoe covers on when she entered our home. Wow! Such a thoughtful and respectable thing to do. I have had many dog services in the past and no one has compared. Truly excellent service in every respect.

Outstanding. Not only are Tatiana and her team professional, responsible, and attentive, they are genuinely warm and caring people. They took great care in showing respect for our home and keeping us updated while we were away. We returned to a log of events from each visit, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

We have been using Pets Like Us for the past year and a half and have nothing but great things to say about them. Their scheduling and payment arrangements are very convenient, and most of all, our dogs love them. I love that they give us a narrative after every visit letting us know what the pups have been up to and we always come home to happy, healthy dogs. I highly recommend Pets Like Us!

We started using Pets Like Us about nine months ago when we moved into the area. In our previous town, we had used a different walking service that I absolutely loved, and so I was a little nervous about finding a new walker that was just as good. I feel really lucky that I contacted Pets Like Us first. Tatiana comes every weekday. I really like that she tells us what time she comes, and leaves a nice note about the walk. It’s really helpful because she will note if she see’s that something seems wrong. Tatiana and Rob have been great with our pooch. She (the pooch) is pretty energetic and takes every opportunity to chase squirrels, rabbits, blowing garbage… you name it. I’ve actually had other neighbors comment on how well she walks with Tatiana. I was also very impressed this winter with Tatiana because she would take the time to bundle the dog up in her coat and dog booties, and sometimes an extra layer if I asked. And if it was one of those really, inhumanely frigid days, she would actually play with the dog inside for a while after taking a short trip out to take care of business. I recommend them!

Pets Like Us is outstanding on every level.
Pets Like Us has taken care of our very energetic mini Labradoodle puppy for the past year. After every visit, Tatiana leaves a little note about her visit with our pup. Tatiana is always in my home during the requested time frame. Every once in a while, one of us will be home when she comes by because of an unexpected work schedule change. In the year we have used Pets Like Us, my husband and I and my two college aged children have all had the opportunity to observe how our dog loves Tatiana and is eager to see her every day. I can’t say enough about Tatiana and Rob. During the 35 below temperatures this winter, Tatiana was always there for our dog as promised and on time.
Pets Like Us has been outstanding in their care for my dog and in getting to know how we care for our dog so she has a friendly and predictable walk in the middle of each weekday. When Tatiana is unable to walk our dog, Rob, her husband and business partner is there or she has someone sub for her. No one has ever subbed for Tatiana unless she has brought that person to my home to meet me and to get to know my puppy in advance. I recommend Pets Like Us enthusiastically. I found Pets Like Us on Unilocal and our family feels confident with the flexible, knowledgeable and compassionate care that our dog receives through them. They are not only great dog walkers and pet sitters, they are delightful people who deeply care about the welfare of my beloved pet and the fact that she is part of our family. I never have to worry about my dog while I am away at work on on business. Pets Like Us has us covered. We love Pets Like Us.

Pets Like Us is fantastic! Tatiana is excellent with cats and dogs (even very sweet but crazy-​energetic dogs, like ours). She is consistently prompt, trustworthy and kind. Our need for dog walks was generally pretty sporadic, but in the weeks after our baby was born (and we were exhausted!) Tatiana was incredibly supportive, willing to make space in her already very busy schedule to care for our dog. I heartily recommend her services!

Tatiana has always been great with our dog Roscoe. We’ve done daily dog walks for the past year and we’ve never had a bad experience. She is always quick to respond if I have a question or special request.

I was able to find Tatiana and Rob through some family connections and boy was I lucky too find them! I have had them take care of quite a good laundry list of extremely expensive and delicate pets. I have a very sophisticated 300 gallon saltwater aquarium setup that I custom built, two domestic Rats, as well as a pure bred hairless male sphynx cat. On multiple occasions (honeymoon, vacations, work travel, etc.) Ive needed someone to look after and maintain my aquariums, rats, and my sphynx for up to two weeks time.
If you know anything about my pets, you can appreciate how much information, intuition, and attentiveness is required to keep everyone safe, fed, and happy (without burning the house down!). On every occasion, they have proven to be reliable and have catered their time and energy to accommodate the special needs & complexities of my pets. The aquarium itself is a steep learning curve with all of its inherent dangers of having electricity and water working synergistically to keep the ecosystem in balance. I can trust Rob and Tatiana with every little nuance that needs to be taken into account to keep everyone alive and my house in one piece. They ask questions to insure they understand the purpose of what I need them to do and adhere to the safety rules that need to be followed (For example, why would it be important to check «X» when the power goes out? Oh, that’s right, it could start a Fire!).
I can’t trust just ANYONE to watch over my aquariums, rats, or my cat. You need to be technically savvy, attentive, logical, intuitive, sensitive, prompt, and fearless. These two have always done an amazing job and will always get a call from me when I need them to take care of my pets. I am a bit farther than most of their clients, but with a bit of added compensation and a few phone calls/​dry runs, they were up to speed and happily willing to take care of my pets.
I would recommend these two in a heart beat and I actually carry their business cards on me to give to anyone looking for a pet sitter. I am on the extreme side of what any pet sitter is willing to watch, but they did it without any hesitation and performed flawlessly. 5 stars doesnt do them justice!

We used Pets Like Us to look after our 3 cats while we were away for a week. We came home to happy cats, clean litter boxes and detailed notes about each visit. Our cats are shy with strangers and all look very similar, but Tatiana took the time to get to know each of them and let us know who came out during each visit. We asked her to make sure she spotted all of them each visit since we had one escape with a previous petsitter. Tatiana was reliable, professional and great with our cats. We will use Pets Like Us again!
