This was my second visit and I honestly don’t remember my first visit but this last visit was great! My mani-pedi was perfect and the customer service was cool. Today is day 3 and my nails still look pretty good.

I knew there was a reason I stopped going to this shop… First off they are rude and inattentive, and pretend they don’t speak English when there’s a problem! Went for a pedicure and fill in; horrible! My 8year old could have done a better job with a broken arm. The lady doing my pedicure was mad because I was pointing out flaws. I can be particular about my nails, but if I’m a paying customer I should be. When she finally got around to doing my hands, she continued the angry streak and burned me with the file numerous times! I was pissed! I couldn’t even sit to get polished i had to leave! And to top it off, she charged and extra $ 5 to remove my polish because i didn’t get it done at her shop… Needless to say I’ll never be back… Doesn’t deserve a star!

(Not sure why the Unilocal listing says they’re closed on Sundays, I am here now and on Sundays they’re open 11 – 6.) 10 – 8 every other day. This is another place I like where I’m sorry to read all of the negative reviews, yet I can honestly say I’ve never a bad experience here. The staff are nice and even though they only do walk ins, they always attempt to get me in quickly. There was a great technician named Khloe who I always went to. One day I came in and she was gone. They said she went back to China. Anyway, the shop is roomy and always clean, and over time they’ve come to know my mom and daughter. When I come alone, the manager or the male technician usually ask where they are.(Both of them do great nail designs.) And where else can you find a $ 15 pedicure? My feet and nails are always done well and they’ve never cut me! I’m only subtracting one star because before they changed management they used to give a shoulder massage while you waited for your nails to dry. They also used to have a punch card for pedicures and after 6, your next one was free. Both of those have gone away, yet with the service I always receive, at great prices, I have no reason to go anywhere else.

This place is so cheap but so bad!!! My nail tech was really sweet but when I realized my nails were uneven and there was a smudge as I was walking out I actually went to another nail salon and got it redone. No really, it was that bad. But what do you expect for a 20 min manicure.

I was highly disappointed by this place before I got the service started. I first stopped by to ask if I needed an appointment. They said«no» so when I came back to get a full set put on, I waited for 45 minutes!!! what is worse, after they said it would only be 20 minutes to get my nails done, I waited 45 minutes, because 2 people walked in, and were serviced in a matter of seconds. Then the person that was supposed to work on me said, «30 min. more» after the 20 minutes I was already waiting from the hostess. Uh yea, I will come back. I can spend my money else where. That was terrible. If you are going there for quick luxurious service, look else where. Worst place to go for a quick nail job.

I live right up the street from them and it’s my new favorite local business. I came in my first time and only waited about 10 minutes and the service was great. The prices are reasonable. I came with a nail art idea I saw on Pinterest and the guy that did my nails did an amazing job. I can’t wait to go back to do something creative again.

I went here for the first time yesterday. It is right around the corner from my condo so I thought I would try it out. WORSEIDEAEVER! I got a full set of acrylics and they are the worst I have ever seen. I had them done yesterday and they are already starting to fall off! The girl did not understand English and so when I tried to explain to her what I wanted she first tried using my natural nail with the idea of painting the tips for a French. Ummm no if I wanted that I would pay a lot less and just get a mani. Once I finally got across to her that I wanted the white tips she had already put oil on my nails and therefore could not get the tips to stick. Her way of working around this was to just paste them on with the acrylic. Why is that a terrible idea um because there is space between my nail and the tip. Eww and that causes them to feel off LESSTHAN A DAYLATER! Not to mention she didn’t put the tips down far enough so you can see the corners of my real nail. And she didn’t take off the extra acrylic on the sides so they are peeling there too.

This place sucks. The lady didn’t want to cut my toenails shorter, the way I liked them for my pedicure. Then she cut off too much for my manicure. A cheap $ 15 pedicure, $ 5 more for french. U get what u pay for. The paint on my mani/pedi started chipping away 2 days after I got it done. I won’t be back.

Actually, not clean. They don’t clean the instruments properly. Many health code violations for not cleaning properly. Take a moment to watch when you are there, you will see for yourself. I have had a rush job myself and also had my nails cut so low they hurt. I don’t think she was fully paying attention.

I got a mani/pedi here and it was great. I came in around 6 p.m. so it was quiet. The woman took her time, which was perfect, but didn’t dawdle. It was apparent she was paying close attention to her work — I have a lot of calluses on my feet and she actually examined them and scrubbed a little extra. Rarely do I get my nails done, but I mostly go to have my cuticles cleaned and trimmed and she did quite good work. My favorite part was that I’ve gone to more expensive salons and had shottier work done, so the price was amazing for the quality. I will definitely come back.

I can’t really decide how many stars I want to give this place. I’ve now been here twice — the first time was great. I got a pedicure for a very reasonable price and it was done very well. The girl was pretty fast but very detailed and she did a great job. The second time I got a manicure and a pedicure. The manicure was fine, but the girl accidentally cut me while snipping my cuticles. I was bleeding all over the place, and she went so far as to put some clear polish on it to stop it from bleeding. Um… ouch? And also probably not healthy in the slightest. So although this place is clean, cheap, and was relatively ok, that one thing seems like kind of a big issue, especially since I see from another reviewer that I’m not the only one thats happened to.

I hate giving places a bad review, but I have to say I am tempted to give this nail salon one star. I was so excited to go here after reading all the favorable reviews because this place is so close to where I work and their prices seemed so reasonable. I went with a coworker, who I think had a better experience than mine. That said, the girl who worked on my manicure and pedicure was pleasant and eager to please, but she sadly lacked the skills to get the job done in a satisfactory manner. I got a pedicure and a french manicure. The girl rushed through both at an amazing speed. Both were done in less than 45 minutes. I understand basic when it is good, but compromising on quality is not an option. She filed down my nails, but did not bother finishing the filing, leaving jagged edges on my finger nails. I can’t really reach my toes easily, but would not be surprised to find the same there. She did not clean underneath the nails as is customary, but I am less concerned about that because I fancy myself a clean person. She cut me twice, once on a toe nail and once on a finger nail. When I yelled out, she did not bother apologizing or even acknowledging that she hurt me. Part of the problem was the language barrier, which may explain why she had a hard time acknowledging the jagged edges, but Unilocal of pain are universal, aren’t they? The end result: my feet look ok. My hands look ok from a distance, but anyone who takes a closer look will see the mess she made of my french manicure. I paid a total of $ 37(including tip). My initial reaction was to never go back, but I might give them another chance based on my friend’s experience, which did not seem half as bad. But I might just stick to pedicures here. As an aside, the girl who did my nails asked to try on my flip flops because she wanted to see how they would look on her feet. That’s a first!

My daughter and I have been looking for a great nail salon for years. Who would have thought that one would open up two blocks from my house? I can’t say enough great things about this salon. It is immaculate — everything’s brand new. The staff is attentive and courteous. And the massages(foot and leg for pedicures, hand and arm for manicures — plus back and shoulders for both!) are just heavenly. The prices are beyond competitive — $ 12 for a manicure! There are plenty of nail salons in Evanston — but I’m really pulling for this one.

Fabulous! I had a great experience getting a pedicure here. The salon is clean, nicely renovated and the service was outstanding and very friendly. My pedicure was thorough and extremely relaxing too — and a wonderful complimentary foot and back massage was very much appreciated! For only $ 18, this high quality pedicure was a steal. Highly recommended!
